solo playing on the outro is pretty tight ....i'm more inclined to think the sloppy playing was snowy white ....anyway , that said ...i never really paid that much attention to this song over the years - but its growin on me . Dunno bout anyone else but i would love to see a set list without the obvious { boys , jailbreak , etc } and a set made up of tracks like this ...heard the others just a bit too much -plus the band would be more inspired , not playing "whiskey " for the million'th time !
blacksabfan, is Gorham in this? The reason I ask is that the solo is his note-wise, but it sounds like Snowy's trying to "ape" Scott's solo note-for-note-- the playing isn't nearly as fluid as Scott's. If it is Scott, he must have been in a real bad way here.
@fuckmegadeth fuck you megadeth could kick ur scrawny poser ass anyday of the week, and thats pretty bad that u went as far as making tht ur username dont u have anything better to do
You should send a message to Darren to check this one out, indeed a great version of a very good song. In contrast to many other fans I like both albums with Snowy. Thanx for posting pal.
Chinatown is arguably one of Thin Lizzys best albums in my opinion. I didn't rate Snowy White as a guitarist until I heard that album. This is a great closer for the album.
I'm 34. I don't liek much of the new but if soemthing is good I will admit that it is good. Don't be close minded. I love Thin Lizzy. I' listen to a wide variety. I've seen Suicidal Tendencies, Danzig, Rollins Band, Pink Floyd, Page and Plant, Misfits, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and others.
you are right im in my 50s and my friends ..are almost like my mom and her friends.limited to their era and thats it..i read r stone see who gets most stars ..test em on youtube..live thats the key

ease up on the labels! only two tyeps of musci... good music and bad music. Lizzy = good My Chemical Romance = bad... but 30 Seconds to Mars and Taking Back Sunday= good IMO so what's that mean?
I like MCR and I'm 50 and like all classic rock, prog and stuff at the end of the day they write damm good songs, its all rock n roll, lets stick together
wats wrong wit tat tablas and its not sitat its sitar......i listen to classic rock but also i love those sitar n tablas.....n u seem like a moron to me who donno about those music.............even george harrison went to learn sitar in india n tat says it all .....peace
Another gem Blacksabfan, cheers! This has always been one of my favourites... I've always felt it quite autobiographical, perhaps a tale of the alienation Phil increasingly felt from the places he lived in and travelled to. I have my little theory that it forms a trilogy with the final track from Renegade and 'Heart Attack' from T&L. Its interesting to hear those keybaords high up in the mix too.
blacksab fan,,just to let u know you,ve made my life so easy by posting so much lizzy stuff on you tube,,i,m in a lizzy tribute band here in dublin, and i,ve learned most of the stuff from your posts,so thanks a bunch
Um, I just googled that name...and I got absolutely nothing. I think you're on crack, and I should of figured as much being you have yet to type something that's in normal english. By the way, I'm banning you. I don't have time to deal with this nonsense.
I'm sure the drugs you are on are illegal in most countries. Please be careful! They are obviously having detrimental effects on your reasoning capacity.
Nakano Sun Plaza is in the ward of Nakano, which was incorporated into Tokyo in 1932. Nakano makes up one of the 23 wards of Tokyo. There is also a town in Nagano prefecture called Nakano, but this concert was in Nakano, Tokyo.
I actually had to look it up. That should resolve any confusion.
Also one of my favs. I have heard a different live version from a different gig some years ago. But this version is totally new to me. More from this hot-stuff please!

To all the listers out there, blacksabfan is right. I put it under the Tascam 1/2 speed machine-- it's Gorham; but, sloppy as hell.
