  • that shit is church......Philo forever

  • Nah this version sounds whack, the synth fucks it up

  • They got the echo calibrated wrong. It sounds weird. But I do like the keyboard.

  • Is it the same Wharton that was one of the original members of Lizzy or am I getting mixed up?

  • great song!!!!

  • solo playing on the outro is pretty tight ....i'm more inclined to think the sloppy playing was snowy white ....anyway , that said ...i never really paid that much attention to this song over the years - but its growin on me . Dunno bout anyone else but i would love to see a set list without the obvious { boys , jailbreak , etc } and a set made up of tracks like this ...heard the others just a bit too much -plus the band would be more inspired , not playing "whiskey " for the million'th time !

  • Great track. Also recorded the day John Bonham died. RIP Phil and Bonzo.

  • KILLER !

  • This version is better !

  • Wow ! I love this song !

  • Twin Less Pauls? Who does that?

  • I know this is an overused joke, but seriously. One Asshole missed the like button.

  • Ride out is spot-on Gorham... my mistake.

  • To all the listers out there, blacksabfan is right. I put it under the Tascam 1/2 speed machine-- it's Gorham; but, sloppy as hell.

  • Thanks, blacksabfan

  • blacksabfan, is Gorham in this? The reason I ask is that the solo is his note-wise, but it sounds like Snowy's trying to "ape" Scott's solo note-for-note-- the playing isn't nearly as fluid as Scott's. If it is Scott, he must have been in a real bad way here.

  • @Vibrato747

Yeah, by all accounts, Gorham is on this.

  • @fuckmegadeth

That's funny, you seem to be the only one who's complaining.

  • @fuckmegadeth fuck you megadeth could kick ur scrawny poser ass anyday of the week, and thats pretty bad that u went as far as making tht ur username dont u have anything better to do

  • i like this version

  • I remember the night he died - was at a party someone told me it was just on the news that he has passed - Wo !

  • look out mommAAAAA

  • This version sounds AWESOME.

    THIN LIZZY STILL ROCKS!!

The today's bands seems so small....

  • @xritaly what do you mean with "small"?

  • @CCMrJones

    Insignificant, trivial, without genius..

The opposite of a GREAT band like the TL was

  • @xritaly dammit this suxx!

  • I like the JAILBREAK album best because of THE COWBOY SONG!!! Brian & Scott were the twin guitars from HELL!!!! They just ROCKED!!!

  • WoW >> This song really rocks !!!

Nice rhythm and the style is cool

    THIN LIZZY ROCKS HARD !!

  • You should send a message to Darren to check this one out, indeed a great version of a very good song. In contrast to many other fans I like both albums with Snowy. Thanx for posting pal.

  • Chinatown is arguably one of Thin Lizzys best albums in my opinion. I didn't rate Snowy White as a guitarist until I heard that album. This is a great closer for the album.

  • I agree with you 100%

  • yes you g that feelin rock n roll cafe apart from lazy ps

  • yeah , I miskeyed... so what? I just got off work... worked 12 hours

  • I'm 34. I don't liek much of the new but if soemthing is good I will admit that it is good. Don't be close minded. I love Thin Lizzy. I' listen to a wide variety. I've seen Suicidal Tendencies, Danzig, Rollins Band, Pink Floyd, Page and Plant, Misfits, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and others.

  • I didn't understand a single fuckin' thing you just typed.

  • I think he means well, but those phones you can text on are pretty much destroying the english language. I personally don't use them.

  • I don't mind if you abbreviate some things, but at least try to be legible, you know?

  • take a joke u innocent fool, dont be callin me names fuck sticks,it makes ya look patetic on the net..dumbass

  • I love the irony and/or hypocrisy of your post. I don't love much else about it though, which is why I don't see you commenting further.

  • yeah lost the hard rock feel or somethin

  • Agreed. I like keyboards with *some* bands, but added one to Thin Lizzy changed the sound for the worse.

  • Another gem Blacksabfan, cheers! This has always been one of my favourites... I've always felt it quite autobiographical, perhaps a tale of the alienation Phil increasingly felt from the places he lived in and travelled to. I have my little theory that it forms a trilogy with the final track from Renegade and 'Heart Attack' from T&L. Its interesting to hear those keybaords high up in the mix too.

  • Thanke you.... The best version of this song..

  • thank you for posting so much LIZZY rare stuff

  • blacksab fan,,just to let u know you,ve made my life so easy by posting so much lizzy stuff on you tube,,i,m in a lizzy tribute band here in dublin, and i,ve learned most of the stuff from your posts,so thanks a bunch

  • dont doubt it jus know it man...

  • Um, I just googled that name...and I got absolutely nothing. I think you're on crack, and I should of figured as much being you have yet to type something that's in normal english. By the way, I'm banning you. I don't have time to deal with this nonsense.

  • Um, I doubt it...

  • I'm sure the drugs you are on are illegal in most countries. Please be careful! They are obviously having detrimental effects on your reasoning capacity.

  • Damn keyboards :P

  • mortel

  • Gobsmacked!

  • Are you sure that this isn´t Tokyo?... he says "Hello Tokyo!" at the end...

  • Nakano Sun Plaza is in the ward of Nakano, which was incorporated into Tokyo in 1932. Nakano makes up one of the 23 wards of Tokyo. There is also a town in Nagano prefecture called Nakano, but this concert was in Nakano, Tokyo.

I actually had to look it up. That should resolve any confusion.

  • aha, well that is a little confusing :-P. Thanks for checking it out!

  • Was it played with Midge Ure?

  • This was with Snowy and Wharton. In fact, later in the show, Lynott introduces Wharton as the 17 year old baby in the band.

  • Where do you get this stuff ? Keep posting the rare Lizzy vids/songs etc...

  • iv never heard this before.......i like it =D

    R.I.P. PHIL LYNOTT

  • Brilliant.

First time I've heard it live, much better than the studio version. Lizzy were first class live.

Great sound, well worthy of 5 stars.

    Thank you for posting.

    More PLEASE !!!!!

  • THANKS for posting!

Also one of my favs. I have heard a different live version from a different gig some years ago. But this version is totally new to me. More from this hot-stuff please!
