  • SHRED ALERT! but where is Paul Gilbert? :D

  • takay ams the fucking mans

  • Sadly, Tornado of Souls owns them all.

  • Love all 3 of 'em !!

  • thessalonki.......lol

  • japanese guy was the best!

  • okay...........MARTY WAS THE BEST PLAYER ON THAT STAGE FUCK THE COMMENT THAT SAYS DIFFERENT!

  • "holy shit..."

  • One of Megadeths best axe players to ever be in the band.

  • Amazing bass solo xD

  • FFS why do you guys always have to make it a contest? they weren't competing. they were having fun together and enjoying the moment. The bond share between 3 great musicians, yet there's always some retard that turns something great like this into a fucking pissing contest... Show some respect to 3 great guitarist who were simply having fun together in a cool musical way.

  • "The Master of the 6 strings takayoshi ohmura" , man , marty knows how to do charity

  • Love the fact that there is more than just straight metal shredding going on here. Mostly metal but with a bit of flavour.

  • im sorry but gus g takes the cake with that one

i love marty, but gus was ripping like crazy

  • @urdumbfoo Gus G was stiff and ordinary, Ohmura and Marty both pwned him in terms of originality, technicality, and melodicism

  • @jessethemachine im sorry, but were you even listening?

marty was sloppy, and ohmura sounded bland

ordinary? gus shredded that like it was nothing

so what if he was stiff? i didnt know you had to act a fool to be a good guitar player

and id like to see either marty or ohmura play what gus did as cleanly as he did

    gus didnt make one mistake

  • @urdumbfoo How dare you call your superior sloppy. Marty was the best guitarist on the stage. Gus made more than a few mistakes. IM SORRY, BUT WERE YOU LISTENING? Smart ass.

  • @urdumbfoo

They all made their fair share of mistakes and Gus is generally a very generic run of the mill player. 90% of what Gus does is highly overused cliches, he really isn't a special guitarist. Marty and Takayoshi are exceptional and anything but run of the mill (most of the time).

  • @Fluffypopcicle I smell jealousy in the air

  • @kbabcock155

Not at all. I'm jealous of Shawn Lane for his unbelievable technical feats and Buckethead for his diversity. Either than that no other guitarist ever makes me feel any sort of jealousy.

  • @Fluffypopcicle wtf Gus G uses mostly harmonic minor scales, that isnt overused that is a difficult scale to use, one thing is that your ears are used to pentatonic crap go and listen to kirk hammet

  • @speedtomas

How long have you been playing? A year? Harmonic minor scales aren't difficult to use if you know the positions, and Gus uses a lot of pentatonic and natural minor. Children Of The Night shows his generic use of the natural minor scale. Lots of descending by groups of fours, and guess who else does that obsessively? KIRK HAMMETT!!! Hammett is a joke and Gus is super overrated. He is way better than Zakk though, I'll give him that. He also has some great solos.

  • @Fluffypopcicle Absolutely, Gus G is a lot better than Zakk Wylde... You know the swedish guitarist Olof Morck? He plays in Dragonland and Amaranthe, and from 2000 to 2005 he replaced Gus G in Nightrage... I think that he's very good, way better than Herman Li of Dragonforce (people compares the two because of similar name of their band, Dragonland/Dragonforce)... I'd like to know your opinion on his skills...

  • @MrAlucard222

Wow, I love Dragonland! I just never knew the name of the guitarist. He is an awesome guitarist. Not the most original, but very tasty and that's what matters the most. In terms of technical ability, I actually wouldn't call him that special because power metal is a genre highly virtuosic guitarists and I can't say his technique stands out from the rest, but he is very tasteful.

  • marty won gold, gus g silver and takayoshi bronze :-)

  • Takayoshi is better that marty

  • amongst all three, Marty won, definitely! For weird picking hand category, lol.

  • where's Mr. Takasaki to take these boyz to school?

  • Kelly Simons would kill all three of them

  • heey !... it s not fair ! Takayoshi is Japanese !

  • maarty fuckdem all

  • It started as a blues jam, but by their 3rd turn it turns into a shred competition.

  • whatt song is this?

  • @Atwa13xero It's the ending of Dragon Mistress by Marty Friedman.

  • γεια σου ρε κωστα gus g

  • marty=natural born ''idea""

  • you can clearly hear how different Marty sounds compared to the other two guys.

  • hi for me takayoshi-san is the best cos he doesn t play with all his capacities because he respect marty and gus.......for me first takayoshi-san second marty and tree gus!!.......rock n roll!!.......

  • Was Friedman stoned for this? He seems like it... just look at his face...

  • Sooooo dam coool i love them all and 2 see them jammming has really made my day ;)))

  • damn why does takayoshi seems a bit not that good on this video he is the most technical in these 3 players as far as ive known the speed of takayoshi's fingers

  • @dudsevangelista Speedwise, probably yes, Takayoshi is a lot faster. But, i think, Marty's phrases are more complex and harder to play not only because of speed. Like, take both their exersices/solos and play at the same notes per second. Marty's would be more difficult.

  • @dudsevangelista I agree.

  • @LetalMartinez yes influenced by malmsteen and impellitteri and others what else to expect \m/

  • Takayoshi is a real nice guitarist
