God, I loved this movie. I can understand why other people disliked it, but I suppose it all comes down to what you buy into. Personally, i thought the racing sequences rocked, the humor was great, and there was so march heart within the family. The movie was cheesy as all get out, but that is exactly what the Wachowski brothers were going for. Definatly in my top 20 of all time favorite movies. =) 10/10

If you want a realistic gritty (and boring) movie involving car racing go watch fast and furious, It's pretty much like this only difference is fast and furious is boring, really boring, useless, and forgettable.

I already see this getting a big cult following. I guess much like Tron we'll probably see a new sequel from it's growing audience. I just hope it doesn't take twenty five fucking years.

It may have been because most people weren't aware of the show and most people who are were more likely self conscious about liking it, or judged a book by it's cover. probably a combination of all those things. 1 hour, 33 minutes and roughly 17 seconds into the movie they completely forget to animate the wheels of the Mach 5 when Speed's racing against Snake Oiler. I only noticed this error the second time watching the movie.

Despite that, I love this movie, even if at times the use of blue/green screen couldn't get anymore blaringly obvious (Spritle and Chim-Chim riding around Royalton Industries in that purple golfcart).
