  • this is some amazing footage. the part where she put her finger in the beak was unbelievable!

  • she is probably the luckiest girl on earth.

  • she loves what she does, but it is a tough and demanding job. And it doesn't pay that much, since she works for a non-profit org, so you gotta do it because you love it.

  • beautifull video..how happy i would be if i worked in a place like this!!!!!!!

  • Love the video! As a falconer it is always great to see videos like this! I have my rehab permit as well, but there are not many places near where I live who I can work for. Great job with the video, I envy you! Where exactly do you work?...what state...city? If you dont mind me asking....

  • thanks for the kind comments. i'm not the girl in the video, she's my fiancee. she works at Audubon Center for Birds of Prey in Maitland, FL.

  • You're engaged to a superhero. Seriously, she looks like the kung-fu master of raptor care.

  • Very nice presentation of the Raptor Center!

I especially enjoyed the scenes showing you handeling the Raptors and medicating them. You have a very gentle and deliberate hand

with the birds, you make it look so easy! Thanks!

  • thank you so much! Yes, the woman in the video (my g/f) is pretty good at what she does!

  • I work as a volunteer at the International Bird Rescue Research Center in Northern California. We wash oiled wildlife, with the exception of marine mammals. (You can see an oiled loon being washed on my site.) Our hospital is for aquatic birds. But we'll stabilize oiled raptors, wash them, and transport them to the appropriate wildlife hospital. I am very impressed with your center. Wish the video were longer... I wanted to see more! Five Stars!

  • sorry it's not longer, but this is just a 'rough cut' of the video. the final video is actually 15 minutes long and features some different footage and informative voiceover narration. youtube won't allow vids longer than 10 minutes on a free account, though. but you can see it if you ever visit the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey in Maitland, FL, though! thanks again for the comment!

  • wow, great vid. did you have to wear that camouflage outfit so the baby wouldn't imprint on you? did you go to vet school?

  • yes, the camo is to prevent imprinting. She has a V.T. Degree, yes. Thanks so much for your interest!

  • Is this a part-time or full-time job.

  • hi there. it's a full-time job.
