@unlockize Of course he doesn't expect anyone to believe that what they are dreaming of or trying to imagine of what he means is real... its an abstraction.. everyone knows all words are abstractions of something.. what he is doing however is INVITING us to experience the experience for ourselves (on our own time), using his words as a guide, a path to seek out this understanding a path which points in a direction of where to go.. of course the path is not the destination that is obvious. Too bad Wilber never truly got to the place that there is no meaning in the universe without language. Had he done so, he would realize that all his wonderful ideas are an illusion that exist only in language. He's talking as though what he's saying actually exists outside of his mind.

I wonder how Ken would deal with Adam Curtis's assertion that self-organization doesn't exist in the universe except in the human nervous system. The idea of autopoiesis, self-organizing organisms, ecological system's theory, etc, do not exist in nature and is really just a theoretical projection of our own, based on Norbert Wiener's idea of feedback loops that led to the so called cybernetic revolution, personal computers etc. Ecology as feedback doesn't exist apparently, only dynamism...

and automatically we should throw away any sort of explanation or hypothesis, because it makes us feel good? electromagnetic theory makes me feel good, sincerely, should that be a kind of sign that it's of no use to me and only intended to make me feel good? some things in this world will provoke emotion and passion, independent of their validity. what Ken describes is more of a thought experiment then a scientific theorem.

the universe does, as Ken observes, organize itself into higher levels of 'unity'. you could be more scientific about it and say that novelty increase - organized complexity increases over time by using previous established levels of complexity as a platform. Eros is simply a step deeper and claiming that this is related to the desire built within us - the Will Shoepenhauer called it. instead of being a pessimist, Ken sees it is as joyous and beautiful.

you come here with a clear intent to hate on the personality of Ken Wilber and his cultural image - rather then sincerely examine all of his ideas and read his books. I've done that, and although I'm not a religious Wilber fan, I can see so much that is remarkably useful to modern philosophers ( especially in merging western and eastern philosophy).

It's not love, Ken. It is just the way it is. Big Bang was happened cause it was too much love that brought together the tremendous power close together till it could not bear that power, so it was exploded. Now we are in the period of time of this interaction power again. In the next billion years, this force will cause the explosion again, and finally there will be no universe. Love will not help, it 's just the Suchness, the Impermanence.
