From as young as 6 years old where kids threw stones at me for being black to even today's conversation, having a dissenting opinion and a different life experience than someone, can cause conflict rather than conversation.

The very comments I got prove we haven't walked in each other's shoes enough to know how one another lives and thinks.

I do like to laugh, joke and have fun, just not at the expense of someone's culture. Especially if who/what is being mocked is not my own experience

I would like to say "Thank You" for changing the name of the video to be more politically correct. All I wanted to do in the first place was to protect Turbo Kick & Chalene. I teach 5 TK classes a week and would hate for it to get negative publicity.

I also enjoyed the ability to discuss and exchange thoughts with all of you. I know I should have made sure what race people were and maybe softened my initial two post. As MLK jr. said, "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice ... "

C'mon Chalene! Is it really fair to compare disrespecting ketchup to a whole culture of people.  As an Black/African-American four year Turbo Kick instructor there are a lot of Hispanic instructors, members, artists who endorse your product. If you are going to make fun of a culture, make fun of your own, not someone elses. Sadly, I don't think this is comedy, it is ignorance. #1-Yes I did consult with Mexican people, Argentinians, Puerto Ricans,Chileans & Colombians. They thought that our little show was hysterical. But I usually hang out with people that have a sense of humor.

part 3...But, Colombian culture is not Mexican culture. And I am not comfortable with White people using "black face" as the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader did a few week ago I am sure she has many black friends. However, I also don't endorse Dallas Cowboys merchandise or products..

Eventhough you are Colombian, I don't think being of a Hispanic culture gives you the right to make fun of Mexican culture, post it on YouTube and then be shocked that some people might find it offensive.

Why didn't you and Chalene come up with skits that targeted your own cultural stereotypes such as "the Colombian chasing the Arepa" or a "White person chasing a typical cultural food."

Race and cultural are still issues that segregate us in this society. I studied stereotypes in undergrad. I am also a social worker by trade and have given many diversity workshops.
