I'd seen this a few years ago...forgot how painful it was to watch. I'm guessing there were several factors contributing to it:

1. the young man is extremely nervous;

2. the young man is extremely ill-prepared (I don't know anything about broadcast preparation or anything but this looks like he and/or a producer really dropped the ball on this one).

3. nobody helped him out when he was obviously in trouble (maybe a break for "technical difficulties" or something could have been done).

you can tell the presenter at times is looking ahead, (not into the camera though) to read text but, he missed it, apparently scrolled too fast!

it would have been better for either the presenter to wear an ear piece (commonly used for news reading) or some one to pulled him out within the first 10secs
