It didnt say. But my guess is because that it's giving them such better vision, that they get used to seeing it through the mangekyou sharingan and eventually every time it deactivates it damages your eyes. Hope I helped if not just ask and ill try again

Well we actually arnt sure what his sharingan is. we guess its mangekyou but it could be a very different form. and he may eventually go blind as it seems to foreshadow that but as we know tv works in wierd ways. just ask for anything else, ill answer.
