    But then: 64k, 8bit computer. One even felt different characteristics in the cars. That game really was a stunning effort on such generic hardware!

  • wasnt much after this when Geof crammond released the first hardcore F1 sim. To this day Geoff crammond F1 still holds up with the best of F1 racing.

  • I got my first C64 in 2005 and I used to laugh over it. Then I saw this game and my mind was blown away, lol! I didn't believe this computer is capable more than little silly endless arcade shooters! Then I saw Maniac Mansion and I instantly become a C64 maniac! No wonder my classmates think I am an idiot, but who cares! :)

    For me, beter race games was pitstop and outrun

  • The sound of this game was pretty poor. The C64 was able to perform much better sound.

  • I used to play this game a lot. Sometimes those cars would just seem to hang next to you as you were passing and then...CRASH..LOL!

  • did anyone else have the c64 spell out "turn the disk over, Fuck-Head" on the screen if you did not flip the disk at the prompt? This is my most prominent memory from this game.

  • The sound was synced in 1987. In 2008, youtube isn't able to sync it correctly with the power of the entire internets. Don't tell me things are better nowadays.
