  • It was truly a beautiful video!!! Is just amazing the capabilities of the humans and how far ahead we are heading in space travel and exploration. I am sure they will welcome the Spirit and Opportunity more than any other heroes and all the people that were part of this long mission and dedication to our world. God Bless the Spirit and Opportunity!!

  • Isn't God Awesome ,by the whats the title of the music? Thanks

  • Isn't GOD something ! Ernie

  • I had to these again! SIMPLY AMAZING! Mars is such a BEAUTIFUL WORLD! The thought of walking on its surface, is MIND-BLOWING! Spirit & Opportunity have been through some ROUGH ADVENTURES! It's AMAZING, how just a small amount of Plutonium-238, and other isotopes of Tellurium/Lead in the RTG's & RTU's, can keep them alive! Also, the tomography & mapping is SO ACCURATE! We should use these isotopes for space exploration, NOT destruction of our own planet, Earth. YOU ROCK AggManUK! THANKS A LOT! =D

  • EXTRAORDINARY! AWESOME JOB! These are THE BEST uploads on Astronomy I've seen so far, & I just want to say to AggManUK: "THANK YOU SO MUCH!" BEAUTIFUL, EDUCATIONAL, & INSPIRING! =D I wish MORE people were into THIS, unlike stupid reality shows! Small amounts of Pu-238 (T½ = ~87.7 years) are used for the RTG's (Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generators OR Units). Te/Pb RTG's & RTU's are used for the Power & Operating Temperature too.

  • What a great demonstration of excellent video and spectacular production. The music along with dictation provide a great show and very informative understanding of the objectives and difficulties of life time adventure.

  • This is very well done! I love the music and a beautifully told story about two rovers on mars. Thank you for much enjoyment!

  • They really should have put little fans on the top to blow off wind!

  • AggManUK! (From the US) Once again, nice videos and you're one of my favorite video makers. Please keep up the good work, and let's hope that spirit and opportunity makes it through until we arrive there. :(

  • Oh man! I really hope that one day (hopefully soon) that man will arrive on the red planet and bring spirit and opportunity home. They've done so much work and deserve to come home and a heroes welcome, and I really feel sad that they have to remain on the red planet because as they survive through out the years, there starting to struggle. The scientists should have built a return home feature or something on them. I'm crying and in tears at the moment. :( Hang in there spirit and opportunity!!

  • Man That would be so amazing if one day they do bring Spirit and Opportunity home They are the most beautiful amazing pieces of equipment that have ever been built. They truly are heros, I feel so bad that they are all beat up now though its like you never want it to end you know

  • when spirit reaches the top and it shows the view its so amazing it gave me chills

  • All your videos are wonderful, and the Mars Rover ones are especially so. Thank you for sharing!!!

  • I do hope someday that humans will land on and colonize mars, and bring the rovers back to earth and put them in museums.

  • Brilliant! What an amazing video, almost like the robots are alive..And Oldfields music fits perfectly, especially the scene at 3:14.Look forward to seeing more to come.

  • Your very kind! Thank you very much for watching and the great comment! I will be doing more in the winter. Until then... All the best! :O)

    Ps. Love the name! :O)

  • Hey man. Been a while since I said hi. Thanks for takin the time to upload these videos to teach people the joy of our solar system. I love astronomy. Love your moon and planet vids. Ive been alot on stars lately and they really interest me. Do you think you could do some videos of stars in our galaxy too? That be great. My favorite is the bluegiant Rigel. Sirius, Betelgeuse, and Canopus are awesome too.

  • Great to see you back! :O) When winter comes, i am planning on doing some more videos. The Stars are on my to do list. So watch this space! (No pun intented) :O)

  • Wow, great job AggManUK! Truly inspirational and well edited for these 2 video clips. Wonderful music to accompany the short texts. Not to mention it made me re-discover the music of Mike Oldfield. Listening to his '83 hit single Moonlight Shadow right now! :-)

  • Your very kind! Thank you very much for watching and the great comment! Mike Oldfields music is so inspiring to me. Moonlight Shadow is a classic too! All the best! :O)

  • ....and God in his infinite wisdom created the Human. The Human driven by desires created the Robot to do his bidding. The Robot as designed by his creator explored the universe and gathered knowledge. And when all there was to know was gathered the Robot became God.

The Holy Trinity of future religions (God, Human, Robot) and it all started with Saint Spirit and Saint Opportunity. Amen.

Watching this inspiring video I wish I could live forever to help with and witness the marvel of the future

  • What a great comment! Thanks so much for watching! :O)

  • This is awesome

  • Youre very kind Joyce! Thank you so very, very much for watching but more so for the wonderful comment! All the best! :O)

  • Alright, now i have watched all your videos for over 2 times each. I am soo addicted to them. They are the best things here on Youtube. They are a blessing. They're so informative and exciting. So well made, so amusing and fun to read. I cherish these videos so much. I wonder if there is one for Oort Cloud, Kuiper belt and Asteroid belts as well.

AggmanUK, you are brilliant. Hats off!

  • Your very, very kind! Thank you very much for watching all of them so many times, and the leaving the great comment! All the best! :O) I will be doing more videos, but it looks like it will be winter before i get a chance to make some more. :O( You never know though! :O)

  • That's great! I'll be waiting. something on the Oort Cloud,Kuiper Belt or maybe other stars would be great! I am really looking forward to them.

You seem to be a doting father. You have dedicated all your videos to your son, and even named the prduction as "Sol's Dad Production"..really nice!

  • He is very special to me. :O) I only intended to make about 3 at the start, just for my son Sol. Then people really started to like them so i made more and more! LOL I look forward to having the time to make some more. :O)

    All the best!

  • Your Rovers deserve at least 5***** for their bravery in front of all the difficulties and their capability to do even better than expected! :-)

  • Your very kind! Though they are not my Rovers. :O) NASA deserves all the credit. Thank you very much for watching and the great comment! All the best! :O)

  • its is a shame that other intresting planets are so far away because id love to learn this much about other planets

    nice vid by the way

  • I couldn't agree more! All the best! :O)

  • Not often am I at a loss for words but both videos were awsome, I am so proud of you Derek, your loving Sis xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • You got that right! lol Many thanks for watching! All the best! :O)

  • I must honestly say that this video brought tears of

overwhelming wonder to me. Mars has been kind

to these roving robots. I love the music chosen. I

    love Spirit and Opportunity!

  • Your very kind! Thank you very much for watching and leaving the great comment! All the best! :O)

  • Planet X was founded by astronomers a few years back. Supposedly, it was captured by our solor system and its not in a counter clockwise cicular orbit like our other planets. It has a clockwise eliptical orbit of 3600 years. It has gravitional effects on the outer planets and they cant find it because its so far out.

  • Your right but that is just one theory. :O) There is also the dark star, a giant comet, binary planets, a small black hole and so on... So theres not really good quality data right now. :O( I guess only time will tell. :O)

  • does TheActionGuy1 means nibiru from the Planet X? is that real?

  • I don't mean to be rude but i am tired of talking about Nibiru. I don't believe it for one second, and i really look forward to 2013 so people can shut up about it! LOL :O) All the best! :O)

  • I'm happy that you think that way, I was sick reading stupid mails about this 2012 things lol..

  • wow..

  • Can you make a video about Planet X?

  • No, sorry. :O( I do have very good reasons for not doing it though. I want to stick to videos of real things in space for now, and Planet X is not one of them. For example, can you tell me what Planet X is? Don't worry if you can't, because nobody can. I think to date there are probably over 5 different things it could be. If it is ever discovered then of course i will do it. Thanks for the thought though! All the best ActionGuy!!! :O)

  • They really are tough little buggers! LOL! What i would give to go and meet them. Thanks for the great comment! All the best! :O)

  • Your videos encase science and discovery in a beautiful, ambient surrounding.

    Good on ye'

  • Your very kind! Thank you very much for watching and the really great comment! All the best! :O)

  • Dear Agg - this is 1 of the best science videos I ever saw about the rovers. Not only that, the music is lovely. Feels like the rovers are more than just machines. The folks at NASA must feel very sentimental about them too, as you undoubtedly do. I sure hope they get to come home. It makes me sad to think of them being left behind and all alone. Long live Spirit, Opportunity and all the Mars rovers. And special thanks to you my friend.

  • Thanks you so much for watching, but most of all for the great comment!

I certainly do have a soft spot for the Rovers, but can you imagine how the people at NASA feel? They Rovers must feel like their siblings. I think they all deserve the highest accolades for the work they have done.

Thanks once again and all the best to you! Into the Wonderful... :O)

Sorry if you got this original message from Gordons address, I didn't realise he was still signed in on my PC! LOL

  • The only thing I'd add to this beautiful message Aquariel is that watching this video made me tear for the rovers. Aggman you are a special human being. I'd sure love to know a soul like you personally. Best wishes to all and to the Mars rovers.

    T

  • What a wonderful thing to say. :O) Thank you so much! It really means a lot to me. :O) All the best to you always.

    Into the wonderful...

  • Great video! Nice work.

  • Thank you very much! :O) All the best! :O)

  • Thank you for the documentary... It was fun to watch.. Plus, I've learned something new.

It was a bit suspenseful (for the robots sake) And your comment at the end made it all the better...

So, thank you so much... from Houston :)

  • Your very kind! Thank YOU very much for watching and the great comment! Hi from the UK. & all the best! :O)

  • maybe olympus mons blew life away?

  • I think it came down to Mars losing its thick atmosphere because of the weakening magnetic field. Though you could be right in the sense that Olympus Mons had something to do with it. All the best! :O)

  • Hi AggManUK! When we found life on mars, our spaceships can not fly to this planet, while we then destroy this life!

  • I think i understand what your saying. If there is one thing i take comfort in, it is that no matter what we do to this planet, no matter how bad we treat it. The Earth will recover and live for billions of years more. What most of the world powers do not understand is that we, as the human race are commiting a very slow suicide. We are not destroying the Earth, we are destroying ourselves. The Earth will recover and live a long, long life. The fact that it will, makes me very happy! :O)

  • Excellent work! Great informs!

    The journey continue!

    You are Great Agg!

  • Once again your very kind my friend! Thank you very much for watching and the great comment! All the best! :O)

  • But doesn't it just frustrate you that all this marvelous history is being made with virtually no media news cover? Thank you AggMan, you're doing for us what the BBC is sadly failing to do.

  • Yes it does, but there are just not enough people interested in it. Well, thats if you believe the media. In my experience, there are plenty of people interested in all things space. Lets hope that all changes! Thank you very much for watching and leaving the great and very kind comment! :O) All the best!

  • Very nice videos on the Mars rovers! :D

Your story telling on the subject personifies the two machines and got me to feel that these were nice little robots with feelings. :)

I wonder how/if the scientists taking care of the adventures of the rovers got attached to them. :)

  • Thanks for watching and the great comment! The national geo video that i got most of this footage from, talked to all the scientist involved. and i can tell you they are all very much attached to those little rovers!!! :O) All the best! :O)

  • Wow would you look at that? Iron oxide, silicon, other various minerals..Mars would make a mineral-rich planet! I bet the water there is also mineral-water due to the high concentrations of iron no?

  • Hopefully I am one of those people who go to mars and bring back these two heoric robots back home to earth.

  • If so, say hello from me! :O)

  • Ever hear of the Axel Rover new concept being reasearched by NASA? Looks promising!

  • Yes i have had a quick look. It's like the old rover but pimped. :O) Looks very interesting though.

  • sorry for spirit

  • Do they have a McDonald's up there?

  • LOL. I bet they have!

  • Simply Amazing! Love your work and keep it up, btw what's the name of the first song?

  • Hi there, the music is in the more info section. :O) Music: Flowers of the Forest & Argiers, by Mike Oldfield.

Thanks for watching and the great comment! All the best! :O)

  • once again great vids and great music love them pity mars is so dry cold

  • It is a shame. :O( Thanks for watching! All the best! :O)

  • 5* & Fav, Thanks a lot for all the vids you post. They are all top quality. Your work is greatly appreciated. Very nice job on your Mars Rover series. The work and achievements the NASA techs & scientist have done is incredible......cheers

  • Your very kind! Thank you very much for watching and adding my videos to your favourites! NASA gets a bit of a bad rap these days and they don't deserve it in my opinion. All the best! :O)

  • These two videos are my favourate,

You know im only fifthteen so when the manned mission to mars comes that may be me, please... let me get a brilliant result in my astronomy gcse exams.

  • I hope it's you too! Keep studying and the best of luck to you in your exams! If you ever get to Mars, say a big hi to the Rovers for me! :O) Into The Wonderful my friend...

  • That would be a perfect spot for a hotel.

All kidding aside, this is incredible. The music is perfect for this when it reaches it's forte.

This is so amazing to see these images.

    Wow !

    Dave.

  • Cheers Dave! :O) I hope i have done the Rovers proud. :O) Take care my friend! All the best!

  • A lot of people from NASA have put their hearts and souls into these robots. They must be so proud. :O) All the best!

  • that was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen on the subject. What an amazing emotional success this must be for the scientists involved.

  • These last 2 videos are without a doubt my favourite. Im so glad i saved them till last. Thankyou for the wonderful journey through space my friend. I look forward to your next work of art :)

  • Your very kind! Thank you very much for watching and the great comment! All the best! :O)

  • Thanks for watching and the great comment! All the best! :O)

  • Well that's a wonderful name! Especially hence the symbol for mars represents spirit and direct opportunity (the male symbol) O->

  • They both really do live up to their names too! All the best! :O)

  • Ok. But who is filming Spirit and Opportunity I wonder?

  • They are CGI, or i should say fantastic CGI! LOL Have a read of the yellow text at the start of Part I and that will explain the landscape too. Thanks for watching! All the best! :O)

  • In to the Wonderful indeed;)

  • I love how you wrote: They (the rovers) will be on the red planet until the day man visits & brings Spirit & Opportunity home to what I believe should be a heroes welcome. Very touching and brought tears to my eyes.

Just thought you ought to know that.

  • Thank you for telling me, i am so glad that their story has touched you too. Your a Star my friend! Thank you so much! :O) All the best! :O)

  • Oh little spirit on Husband Hill..this is breathtaking

and the music so perfect for this.

Opportunity at Victoria Crater is yet another surprise

All so gorgeous...the music just brings it altogether and

really makes you feel the journey of these two little

    robots..

    Me too..a Hero's Welcome indeed.

A Wonderfully told story..Once again I thank you

for bringing a smile to my face!

For me, Spirit is my favourite Rover, as it really does live up to its name.

Thank you once again Dianna! All the best and take care! :::hugs:::

    :O)

  • top notch.. cannot be praised enough! thanks for this two part wonder... :)

  • Thank you, thats a wonderful compliment! All the best! :O)

  • Who is taking photos of the robots?

  • They are CGI, or i should say fantastic CGI as you are about the 5th person to ask that question! LOL Have a read of the yellow text at the start of Part I and that will explain the landscape too. Thanks for watching! All the best! :O)

  • super

  • Many thanks! :O)

  • I agree with you on the "Hero's Welcome" for the two little rovers. Those two have been through so much, and even though they're man made machines, a little of our own indelible spirit has been imbued into both of them and they fight for every inch of their survival. They deserve a place of honor in the halls of our heroes, great and small.

  • You have said it all Elley! To me they are true explorers. Thank you so much for leaving your wonderful comments! :::hugs::: Take care! :O)

  • **grins and hugs** You too hon.

  • Very good?..Thanx for that info.Love the music too.See

    comment I left you! 10/10.

  • I did, and once again thank you so much for your great comment. I am honoured that you enjoy them so much! Many, many thanks! All the best to you! :O)

  • HY.Thanx for sending me this incredibly interesting video

Your words that-go with the videoexplain it in away that a

layman;like myself;canunderstand! You have to salute the people-whodesigned and programmed these "robots."

I would like to know if thisplanet(shown)has gravity;asit says the machine could have fallenoff.Thanx.

  • Thank You very much for watching and making your comment. :O) The scientist and tech heads at NASA have done an amazing job and indeed still are!

Mars certainly does have gravity but it is only 38% the gravity we feel on Earth. So... If you had a chunk of metal weighing 100 kg on Earth, it would only weigh 38 kg on Mars. Imagine that in human weight... How good would you be at the high jump! :O)

  • haha I can't believe how cool that was. I really enjoyed it.Its amazing how clear the video is. Loved it!

  • Your very kind! Many thanks for taking the time to watch. :O) All the best! :O)

  • Great! (as always) ... the pipes in "flowers" are really cool...do you know the piper of my land, Hevia?...5 *

  • Yes i know about your faves mate :O) and i have been flicking through 'Mark's Nature Channel' when i have the time. Some really good vids, but so many!!!!

Your Art as well as producing amazing videos with great music is the ability to impart the complexities of this subject which few of us have much understanding in an easy to understand manner! Top Ratings Mate!

  • Hi Mike, had a lot of help from National Geographic on these mate, though i am still very happy with them both. :O) Thanks for the great words mate, your always so kind and supportive. All the best! :O)

The one thing they deserve to find is life on mars it would be a triumph if they did.

Great vid keep up the brilliant work!

  • I couldn't agree more with you! :O) I hope people start to see them like we do, and not just some lumps of metal on another planet. A lot of people from NASA have put their hearts and souls into these robots and i hope thes videos pay as much a tribute to them as they do to the Rovers. Thanks again! :O)

  • Your very kind, thank you for such a wonderful comment! All the best! :O)
