I have a phenom x4 9500 (AM2+) socket..what should i overlclock it to so it can run cod 4, waw? I know its outdated lol. Also, if I was to upgrade (without replacing motherboard for AM3) what processor should I look for?

Dont buy X4 9550...

Buy X4 965 and OC it on Collermaster V8 to 4,4 Ghz :) having a quad-core processor on 4,4Ghz should be perfect! :) ram is good...Motherboard´s good too...graphics card... don´t buy old 9800GT(2007 GPU) buy ATI RADEON HD4890 1GB(Best DX10 One core Graphics card from ATI)

But all is about money...

uuhm about 650€ 1 year ago in February of 2009...

motherboard about 50€, processor was about 130€, RAM 45€, GPU 175€(9800GT)

today for 650€ you can buy better PC...like PHENOM II 960, HD4890, 4GB DDRII RAM ...

@Sn00z3y if i ware you i really would not go for "An old DDR2" motherboard.. and f your going with AMD go for the Phenom II 4x 955, and 4GB ddr3 insted. and a newer motharboard. the GPU is really not worth buying a 9800GT if you want to play games on now days, then go for a 5770..

I think GeForce (GF) is better, yes i know, geforce is having bigger price than an ati but geforce card's working really good. Geforce= nice graphic with great fps (framp per sec)

You can buy ATI RADEON HD4890 1 GB for very good price to play GTA IV or NVIDIA GTX270

HD4830 is better than 9600GT..

9600GT is not very good GPU..

HD4830 is same as 4850

HD4830 has power as 9800GT :)

thats 1gb of video RAM which is alot!!

Just make sure your case can fit such a video card and that your power supply unit can support it

well gta 4 takes 700 mb of RAM so 700/2048 = 34%

The game will run well but deffinatly get 1gb of video ram if u want to have settings on high

System ram, 2 gb is fine but try get more, i mean if u cant install a video card u can install ram
