One case of an Israeli ship, and another of an English ship. both cases was just fired one missile. two ships went down. now. imagine 10 or 20 missiles shot at the same time. this scenario has never been tested by western navies before. theres a pretty good chance the defences of the carrier groups can be overwhelmed by sheer number of anti ship missiles.

The missles are designed as anti-ship missles with a range of 300km. Which means fleets are not safe up to 300km. In other terms aircrafts need to be deployeed at more than 300km range overseas. Which will not only give the country more time to respond and prepare but also reduce the play room of the aircrafts. Even if the aircrafts have a range of 600km (which they don't) they cant do much since they have to return as well.

One case of an Israeli ship, and another of an English ship. both cases was just fired one missile. two ships went down. now. imagine 10 or 20 missiles shot at the same time. this scenario has never been tested by western navies before. theres a pretty good chance the defences of the carrier groups can be overwhelmed by sheer number of anti ship missiles.

Each of those ships are capable of shooting down an incoming missle from about a thousand miles away. Noone in the world can compete with our US Navy.

The missles are designed as anti-ship missles with a range of 300km. Which means fleets are not safe up to 300km. In other terms aircrafts need to be deployeed at more than 300km range overseas. Which will not only give the country more time to respond and prepare but also reduce the play room of the aircrafts. Even if the aircrafts have a range of 600km (which they don't) they cant do much since they have to return as well.

Good psych-ops propaganda. However, it remains to be seen if this new anti-shipping missile is effective against a US warship especially an aircraft carrier. If it can't evade or beat the defense system of its target, then it's effectiveness will remain a fog of war. Remember, when the test was conducted, the target was an abandoned ship,not a real warship with functional defense system.

a super hornets maximum range is 2221 miles/ 1200 miles if carrying a full load including bunker busters even micro nuke bunker busters so a missile with a range of 185 miles won't be hitting any aircraft carries unless they can develop a missile that can reach at least 2000 miles
