  • I don't see why anyone would dislike this. It seems pretty legit to me. lol

  • thumbs up if the bar that he is lifting is look like the bar that CJ lifted in "Grand theft auto San Andreas" :)

  • my right ear enjoyed this.

  • i want those plates

  • that was raw ...lol

  • Well wraps or no wraps it's strong bench by me most I have ever done is 475 for 1 rep max

  • It's kind of like I've always said..... They should have to competitions....... 1 for those who wish to take something, and 1 for those who want tp stay clean....... By the way...... If you saw the banned list of what you're MOT allowed to take in competitions...... You'd laugh, it includes certain mouthwashes, certain so called natural protien powders, and certain health drinks, as these can sometimes give a false positive test result for steroids. Crazy. Lol

  • Hi mate I think you'll be pleased to learn that I never wrote those comments..... Some prick has gotten into my profile again and is writing a right load of crap..... I take steroids, and I dint care who knows. Anyone who knows anything knows that steroids isn't cheating. If you took a pill and instantly became the biggest and strongest man on the planet that would be cheating, but with steroids you have to work harder

  • @brendan6022 its cheating in athletics

  • @lobsidedballs YeA, RiGhT!.....It's kinda like when certain CLASSES of drag racers will use NOS cause Its ALLOWED. YOU would say to yourself...."hmmmm, 7.3 quarter mile? It doesnt count cause he was CHEATING cause he was using NOS"

grow up numbnuts and just accept it, It's just a different arena of competition.

  • pimp my weights !! :'D come to my gym please i also want to traim some pimped up weights :D

  • those plates are fucking badass, and awesome!

  • I was expecting spinnaz on those chome plates!

  • Wife beater shirt? :D

  • Ive seen this video at least 10 times...just noticed he was not wearing Wrist Wraps...Kennelly is not human!

  • @lurchman76 Thats why its called raw...

  • @mrmag1cc Dont be a smart ass, no matter what federation you lift in they allow the use of wrist wraps in competition, even the 100 % RAW fed allows wrist wraps. So the fact that kennelly is doing this without them blew me away, and I felt like commenting on it. The fact that he did not use wrist wraps does not make it any less RAW then if he were to use them. Go troll somewhere else

  • @lurchman76 Last sentence. Mission accomplished

  • Let me tell you about cheats...... Every one cheats, weather caught or not.... If you don't cheat then everyone becomes like you lot.... Losers and nobody's. Kindled Christie was a cheat.... I knew the gut who used to sell him his steroids..... Arnold was a cheat.... But rated as the best of all time.

  • @brendan6022 hater

  • OH! I like that shine!

  • Thought everyone knew this but Ryan Kennelly aka Ryan "bench monster" Kennelly was arrested again for making and selling counterfeit steroids and growing and selling pot. Ryan Kennelly had been arrested earlier for dealing drugs and he was awaiting criminal trial. Kennelly was known as a cheat and a liar in the lifting community. Goes to show a BIG BENCH doesn't make a big man. Nobody in powerlifting trusted him. He was also known for wearing makeup and high heals. No lie! The guy had prob!

  • @EasyTooIShop makeup and high heels? Where in blue fuck did you hear that?

  • @EasyTooIShop hater

  • nice.

  • I would like to see ryan do more raw stuff and challenge Mendelson for Max Raw Bench

  • He pressed this as if it were a warm up lol

  • he can bench it more time

  • crazy strong. that looked like nothing for him

  • There's a video of some unknown guy doing 600lb raw for 3 reps slow with no bounce. His YouTube name is sincitymuscle

  • @benchaffleck I'm sorry it's sincityiron

  • bloody hell

  • FINALLY a REAL RAW HEAVY LIFT

  • @ger1mon Evidently, you missed Mendelson's 715 RAW lift

  • WOW what bad form... check out my vid... i actually do it the proper way and i lift much more then this for reps.

  • He benched 405 lbs 20 times with ease.

    Fucking bear.

  • Glen Chabot

  • RAWR!

also, i didn't know lego made a camera!

  • "dad, i found jesus!"

  • what is his raw max?

  • @TonyOnTheRise exactly lmao.

  • He really looked like he could've done 10...

  • Having a huge bench press is impressive. It's not everything, however. For football, for instance, if all you have is a huge bench press, all you're doing is practicing pushing someone off your chest who just pancaked you.

  • I've watched a few bench press videos now and every time I ask myself what a feeling it must be to be so strong!

  • Don't most competitions require you to bring it down, rest, press and rack? As in the three commands....Rest, Press, Rack? Seems like he bounced it off his chest a bit.

  • @Spikedadorf this is just a demo (hence the fact hes repping it). theyre not all uptight about shit like that hes just showing what he can do

  • @xxxthicktrapsxxx. Word, didn't realize thanks for the info.

  • where can i get those plates? lol.

  • not only was that a crazy ass bench....those plates are pimp

  • @czoraa21 He bench presses platinum!

  • he looked like he could of done more

  • he can do that easy now lol

  • james henderson #2 raw bench ever 711lbs 100% drug free

  • Oh and what the hell is "drug needed " weight?!

  • And i wonder if hes a DAve Tate follower..

  • Who knows, but you seem to be an Andy Haman follower.

  • Andy haman does this for five reps like most throw 135. Check him out and hes ripped and 42 yrs old!

  • That shit was fake. No one believes it because 600x4 not a weight you do with a 12 year old boy spotting you and whipped cream on your face. 600x4 is something that the very strongest benchers in the world have to prepare for for many years of bench-specific training that bodybuilders just don't do. Andy Haman might be able to bang out some reps with 500, but 600x4? what a joke. You could even see the fake plates at the end.

  • ur an idiot thats not fake, it is donteby the strongest bencher, thats ryan kennelly idiot. he doesnt need a spot for 600 pounds, when he can bench over 1 thousand his mom could spot him for 600 cuz 600 is nothing to him.

  • HUH??? I never EVER said that this lift was fake. What in the hell are you talking about. We were discussing a different video of Andy Haman claiming to bench press 600x4 raw with a 12 year old spotting him at a body weight of 250 pounds. Haha, yes I know who Ryan Kennelly is, I have his 1074 video posted on my channel for all to see.

  • @Ludichris8531 yeah andy haman also claimed a 650 raw bench which we all know is bullshit n fake weights. kennelly is a legend and isnt close to being finished

  • Yes? What point are you making here? I never argued the legitimacy of any of Ryan Kennelly's lifts. Please learn to read.

  • @Ludichris8531 bro you need to learn to read cuz i wasnt dissing you or anything. i was agreeing with you.

  • Kind of a strange thing to agree with, that comment was posted a very long time ago. Thanks for agreeing with me.

  • those are some shiny plates!

  • i want those plates there nice and shiny lol

  • STROOOOOONG!!!!

  • He looks so normal back then. I like the chrome weights btw.

  • he loooked like he could do 12 more lol

  • i suae to god i'm going to do that some day haaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • For 2 reps or just a 1RM? I'm like every other guy out there that powerlifts seriously. I'd love to bench 600 RAW, but it'll take many years of strict dieting, good rest, intense, heavy training, and maybe even drug use to achieve this.

  • 1 rep... mmmhh....

i dont think this is a "drug needed" weight. Drug is for 350Kg+

  • 350 KG hasn't been done RAW, but most of the 600 RAW benchers have used roids, so I'd be willing to say yes most do need them. Out of the 54 men who have done 600 RAW, I can think of MAYBE 4-6 who were natural.

  • Or allegedly natural :)

There are countless ways to pass the drug tests, you know....

  • yes there are about dozen of those drugs they cant see in tests

  • whats his bodyweight?

  • now it is about 137kg

  • At the time, he weighed 280 pounds.

  • no doubt about it the guy is a fucking tank

  • he could done five with that weight

  • mmm sweet weights

  • thats what im talkin about!!! raw bench to the chest!!! nice

  • looks like he had another in him.

  • I'd say he could have done a few more

  • swweet lookin weights

  • Comment removed

  • STEROIDS!

  • shiny weights lol.

  • yummy!

  • No, I'm not kidding. Again, his lifts speak for themself. Don't try and degrade my knowledge and experience because you don't know what a proper lift is. There are many other lifters I respect much more than this guy and are better models for form.

I'll even help ya, go to bodybuilding com / fun / 2003 / benchpressideview wvx

no spaces and put in periods before com and wvx

that is a proper bench. learn it, use it, and it will do you a lot more than cheating does.

  • Wait, but seriously, do you really not know who this is? And, genius, I know proper bench press form you fuck tard. WATCH MY VIDEOS. THIS VIDEO ISN'T FROM A BENCH MEET. THAT WAS AN EXHIBITION LIFT. And no, you know jack shit about Ryan Kennelly. He's the undisputed king of the bench press and if you followed powerlifting you would know that. This isn't a cheating video, he's just doing an exhibition lift. Watch any one of his many meet videos and you'd see his competition form.

  • But really, what other powerlifters do you respect more than Ryan Kennelly? You seem to not know who he is because you're basing your opinion of him on this video of him from literally 10 years ago and you clearly haven't seen a single one of his picture perfect competition benches. He's just about the most respected, powerful, and consistent heavyweight bencher in the last decade. PLEASE learn more about powerlifting, and go ahead, tell me, who do you respect more than Ryan Kennelly?

  • Seriously man, which lifts have you seen??? All of his competition benches have been paused and locked out. You seem to only have seen his raw training videos, and none of my videos are paused like his competition lifts. This is just so confusing. I've got an idea, watch the video I have posted in MY videos of Ryan hitting 1074 pounds. It is with perfect form, paused and perfectly locked out, the same as all of his competition lifts. Watch his competition lifts, they're undisputedly legit.

  • That video of him you have... is a good lift. My feelings of shirts and range of motion aside, that was a good rep. Now why does he have no form in any other video? If he benched the correct way, he'd be lifting more than he is now.

  • What in the world are you talking about?? ALL of his competition lifts have looked just like that. And he's the strongest bencher in the world. Do you realize that there is maybe only one other human being on earth that warms up with 600 pounds raw the way he does? I'm not talking about in this video, search "ryan kennelly 610 raw" and you'll see him warming up. He is a master at bench form and there is literally nothing he has yet to learn about it.

  • It appears as though you've seen about 3-5 videos of him benching and they're all just vids of him slinging around light weight like 315 and 405 (which is absolutely nothing for him). Unfortunately you've never seen him actually train with heavy weights because his real heavy training vids aren't on youtube. If you watched his "road to the arnold" video you'd see him do amazing heavy work with 600+ pounds raw and fantastic form. The 405 and 315 were for speed and explosive power, not strength

  • I'm going to ease up because it's apparent that you aren't really all that into the world of powerlifting. You know the basics about gym exercises and form, but powerlifting is an entirely different animal altogether. Oh, and his form on 405x20 is fantastic. Those are great reps, not a single one bounced and he just blasts each off of his chest like no one else in the world can. Even the 20th rep looked incredibly easy for him. The thing is that the video is sped up to make it look faster.

  • Oh, and one more thing, my shoulder training video is not at all mislabeled. That is not upper pec training in the least. I have the bench at a high incline, but I lay flat backed on it. Essentially, when one has a vertical back rest for military presses they have no choice but the arch the hell out of their back. My shoulders are at the same inclination as someone who's performing a military press with a vertical back, but I'm not arching.

  • I don't even get the slightest pump in my upper chest when doing shoulder presses that way. You appear pretty new to lifting as I can see you're only squatting maybe just barely over 400 pounds right now if your video is recent. In order to work the upper pecs effectively you're much better using a medium or low incline. At a high incline your front delts basically take over. Also, by using a narrow grip and pressing up and back avoid pec engagement and I solely fatigue my shoulders and tris.

  • what a BS lift. *bounce 1! *bounce 2! whatever... I doubt he could do 400 the correct way.

  • lol he can do 1075 paused in gear i reckon he could do 700 raw paused noob

  • noob, huh? I don't hear lifters using the term noob or lol often, so i'm assuming you don't lift and have no place downrating me. I have experience powerlifting and bodybuilding and this video does not display even 1 full rep. I laugh at those who think they're lifting a certain weight but are only doing 1/2 reps and are at high risk of breaking themselves by cheating.

  • ok i aint ready what u wrote. look at the video. he paues's for just a split second. and if he can do 20 resp even if there not full for 405 lb, im sure he could do 1 rep ther 'correct' way. and this wasnt a competeytion. was it.. so stop being up your arse arse

  • *Lowers head and shakes it. Thinks about the education system...

There are no pauses, only bounces.

  • In THIS video, but he opens up with 600 raw in meets before putting on his shirt and he treats 600 raw like a toy. This is a VERY old video.

  • You're so inexperienced with powerlifting that you dont' realize he has a video of him slingling around 405x20 for speed reps, watch that video. He's TOYING with 600 pounds here, a couple of quick bounced reps with 600 doesn't equate to a paused 405 ROTFL. You do know this is the world's strongest bencher right? He's been doing 700+ in training to break the 715 pound raw record this year, but you don't know anything about powerlifting or else you'd know who Ryan Benchmonster Kennelly is. haha

  • Different federations have different rules is all I'll say to you. Not all of them require legit lifts...

  • Yeah this is a year old but it makes my blood boil. Chris is right on EVERY point. You are WRONG on most points and arrogant and stubborn in your ignorance. Like many, your knowledge of strength sports comes solely from generic bodybuilding culture, and it is very painful to see you pretend it applies here.

Saying not all feds require legit lifts because their rules are different is THE most ridiculous item of the year. ALL FEDS have legit lifts - AFAIK all require a pause, a press+rack command

  • Of all the lifts he's done, the only semi-good lift was at 315lbs. I could cheat, too, but there's no point in it. Do it right and no one can say anything about it and only respect you. Do crap lifts like him and people will joke about you.

  • ROTFLLLLL oh my god are you kidding? He has benched 600 pounds raw in competition with a pause as a warm up before putting on his shirt and benching over 1000 pounds. You don't know much about powerlifting do you. How about this, to watch him warm up raw before doing shirt training search "Ryan Kennelly 610 RAW" then watch as he throws up 610 for a warm up in training. He's one of the two strongest benchers in the world and you're saying he's only good for 315? hahaha wow.

  • my god, cutter, are you a complete moron?

  • no but you seem to be if you watch this and think it's legit... that or you're blind.

  • hey my 10 kg bench looks like that.. XD. just kidding. he pwned that weight!

  • im sure he could break the raw record if he tried

  • He's said he's going to try this year.

  • sweet im sure he'll do it....maybe 730 in my opinion or more.

  • im quite sure mendelson can put up a good fight over the record tho

  • I actually heard from a very close friend of his that he is retiring from competing. although I would love to see him compete raw...I believe he could make a new record and thats not based off of this video. this clip is very old and he has improved much since then.

  • No, your close friend couldn't be farther from correct. MY friend speaks him personally every few weeks. Kennelly is in his early 30s, he's far from retirement and he's deciding right now whether to drop to 275 and bench over 1000 in a shirt or try to hit 716+ raw this year. Not considering retirement at all. In fact he just invented his own bench shirt and has had tremendous success with it. Your friend must be thinking of someone else.

  • not trying to tell you that your wrong or anything but the person I heard this from has a couple kids and ryan kennelly is the godfather to her kids. just repeating what I heard...doesnt mean its 100% true. I talked to someone on yoututbe that claims he talks to ryan on the phone and he said that ryan wants to fight ufc so he can get paid. I would definately like to see that if its true.

  • And I'm repeating what ryan has both said to MY friend and also very recently spoke about in broadcasted interviews. So, I've both heard his voice explain his plans and he's gone far more in depth with my buddy gavin and given him advice regarding gavin's own training.

  • Ok, so now my friend just confirmed what you said, haha. Ryan told him that he's been training for UFC since 2005 and that he'll most likely retire in 2009. Sorry about all that, I guess I wasn't really on top of things.

  • Holy crap, I was just thinking today it would be interesting to see Scot Mendelson in MMA or some sort of fighting since he trains some martial arts at his gym.

But to see Ryan do it would probably be better since he's younger. I just hope he doesn't end up some of the other huge, strong guys who can't actually fight well. I don't wanna see him get smacked around whenever he fights a decent fighter the way Bob Sapp does.

  • Bob Sapp was big but he's not nearly as powerful as Ryan Kennelly. I think the thing with Ryan is that his bench speed is so amazing that I can picture his punches being a terrifying combination of speed and power...like getting hit by a high speed train. Just look at the speed with which he throws up 405x20. It shows that he's capable of pressing with incredible speed, but while using incredible weight. Hell even his warm ups with 600+ are fast! I just wonder if he'll have the stamina.

  • Btw, you said he's in his early 30s, so how old is he now?

  • He's actually 35

  • You mean Ryan retires from PL in 2009 to focus on MMA? Does he start doing any fight at all so far? It appears here that Ryan Kenelly's pissed Mark Henry off:

    watch?v=Tl1KaBfS6H4

  • this is a very very old video, he has improved ALOT since then.

  • WTF!!!!!!!!

  • oh shit dam I never seen anyone do that much that fast

  • umm that was fast forward3ed man

  • he couldve done 20 reps on that one

  • Yea, sure.

  • yeah cuz he didnt look like he was straining

  • He barely squeezed out 20 reps with 405, watch the vid if you don't believe me.

  • what if it was his fifth set of 405x20 it might be tiring

  • Man, get real.

  • with kennelly it can be real

  • You need to take an IQ test, my friend.

  • STFU U FKIN NERD FUK

  • Die, retarded piece of shit, you're fuckin pathetic.

  • I like bagels

  • me too man, i love bagels.

  • No it wasn't his fifth set, I've watched the entire video of the workout and that was his only set of 20 with 405.

  • Uh, have you ever benched, he needed to bounce his reps, he could have gotten 3 or 4 with huge bounces back then, 20 isn't even a ghost of a possibility, this is 600 pounds.

  • Looks like he can do 4, which makes his 1 rm around 665 with the same form. How much can he touch and go if he can bounce 665?

Btw, you said Nick Winters suffered a pec tear. Is it during training? If he followed his training cycle, he should be able to determine how much he can handle for wk1, wk2...Then why did he get the tear?

  • Following your training cycle has nothing to do with getting a tear. A tear can happen during warmups. It happens from muscles not being elastic enough and exposed to sudden movements that cause them to tear. Also, don't go by a max lift chart in determining what someone can do based on a couple of bounced reps. Charts are good, but you can't say "well it looks like he could have done 4, so that means he could bench ____" You have to go by what he did without a bounce to really know.

  • Hahahahahaha!

  • how the fuk?

  • Impressive, no shirt, even! I heard Mariusz's max is around 650, no shirt, I'd like to see those two go at it.

  • Mariusz's reported his own max to be 618, not 650. This video is old, Ryan Kennelly has more recent videos of him just warming up with 610 and 635. He's good for 700ish touch and go. Mariusz doesn't compete in bench so don't ever expect him to go up against Ryan Kennelly or Scot Mendelson on the bench. Mariusz is one of the greatest strongmen and that's what he does best.

  • Warming up with 635.. that's just crazy. I do see what you mean, I guess it would only be fair if they included the fingal fingers or something along with the bench.. Now, maybe if this dude went against Larry Allen, that might be close.

  • haha, nah larry allen didn't bench 700 pounds man. His lift as billed as the biggest "assisted bench press" in pro sports. He had 3 guys lifting the bar with him. In reality he only did a few reps with 495 in training. Besides, larry allen only hit 43 reps with 225, that's nothing. hell I only bench a little over 405 and I benched 225 for 34 reps. No this guy would be best pitted up against Scot Mendelson, the current raw world record holder.

  • Hey man, how much do you think heavyweight boxers like Mike tyson or Lenox Lewis can bench in their prime? I read somewhere that Mike benched 400 lbs at 14 yo, but I dont buy it; it's just too young of an age to bench that much.

  • Nah, mike wasn't even lifting at 14 years old. They're both strong guys, but didn't really lift heavy weight to get the way they are. If they ever lifted it was for speed. In fct Lennox's trainer didn't allow him to lift heavy weights.

  • Mariusz's max of 618 is also a gym lift meaning a certain touch and go and probably a bounce too. Not that a poor form 618 isn't awesome, but under strict rules Mariusz wouldn't even be close to the top RAW benchers.

  • his max with bench shirt is 1070 now

  • 1050 lbs

  • What's his max raw bench?? I can see him doing, based on this vid, at least 625 or so...

  • 625? hits video is years and years old .... ryan is alot bigger / stronger now.... and even if u were to base his max from this vid you'd at least have to say well over 650.. he hit 600 for 2 easy

  • Do you think he could beat Mendelson's raw record of 715?

  • Kennelly himself said 2 weeks ago that he thinks he could beat 715 with 6-8 weeks of raw training as long as he didn't have to pause the weight at the bottom because he didn't feel mendelson was forced to pause the weight at the bottom of his lift. Kennelly said that pausing 700+ would mean he would be at too high of a risk for injury and he wouldn't want to risk ruining his career by pausing the weight.

  • What is it about pausing that puts you at a higher risk of injury?

  • Pausing means that you begin the press from a dead stop. Beginning a paused press takes up to 50 pounds more strength than touch and go. Anyway, because of the added difficulty your shoulders and pecs can suddenly be placed in a position of unusual stress at the point where the muscles are their most vulnerable (the bottom of the press). Anyway, pausing simply puts a ton of added resistance at the most difficult part of the press and thus makes you prone to muscle tears.

  • Hell yeah he never even attepted a raw before he could easily do it.

  • gripmaster has some epic e stats lol

  • LMAO, he benches 600 for fun.

  • Thank you so much for not beign gay. Everybody else here (including myself) is arguing amongst one another. You're the smart one. You come in, post your thoughts and leave it at that. I envy you for it.

  • At this early stage of his carear, you could tell that he was heading to greatness.

  • dude looks like he could have done it a couple more times

  • i wonder what a gorilla could bench press

  • an estimated bench press for a gorilla is 4000lbs

  • wtf u smoking lol?

  • what are you talking about they can bench 4000lbs and can rip off your arms

  • No you cant you silly bastard... you cant compare monkey strength cause they cant use it for lifting like we do

  • its an estimate not fact. we dont know what a gorilla can bench press because we havent taught them to bench press or anytingh like that. gorillas are naturally strong and are far more stronger than human beings.we only believe that they can bench press 4000lbs but dont know for sure.their raw strength allows them to probably rip a humans arms off as well.

  • They cant rip ppl arms off, and they cant bench 4000lbs... if 1000lbs was comming down on monkey or gorilla it would die. Lets think bout it... they can swing from tree's thats bout it.

  • buddy try hang on a tree for ten mintues with just one arm and tell me you can do it. a gorilla is so powerful that they can arms off if they wanted to. gorillas are way way WAY!!!! stronger than you think. if you encountered a gorilla in the wild and saw its raw strength then you would see what it can do. it can rip bamboo to shreds and is very tough to break.
