Everyone can't even look at the probability of this being plausible. Even though, getting all 7 of the zodiac spears would take a minimum of 1 solid week of 12 hour session games. This is plausible. Who ever obviously says this is a hacker/cheater should go look up how to find a zodiac spear. Indeed, it is possible to find 7 at a 1/1000 chance each. However there is still a chance that he is cheating. He should just show us a fight with Yiazmat, no?
i had this one weapon it was like a gold axe and it did the same damage and it was in like the dalmaska desert to the west, if anybody knows about this correct me if im wrong because i havnt played in a couple years since i got my ps3
the cerobi steppe also has really good stuff like urns that can give you ribbons, (small chance tho) and again you need the diamond armlet, i swear, i do have a life outside of FF games , lol
if you want more then the orriginal zodiac spear, there is an urn in the henne mines that has a 20% chance of showing up, you need the diomond armlet equiped after that its 50 % that it will have an item instead of money and after that, it will have a 10 % chance that it will have a zodiac spear in it, and it does respawn, so u can get as many as you want, it just takes a lot of patience

@Nukenin12 Diamond Armlet is useless. All it does is allow you to have a 10% chance to get a decent item out of some chests. Most chests all it does is make it drop Knot of Rust 100% of the time.

The chance of getting the spear is 1/1000, BUT you can ensure you know your on the 1000th spot by figuring out where you are in the RNG (Random Number Generator) Search for videos on RNG and ZOdiac Spear and you'll find it.
I thought the chance on getting the spear was like... 1 out of like 1,200 or something like that... (not gonna look it up atm) if you did it at 1 min per check and obviously excluding the free one .... it'd take ... i dunno .... Months prolly to get this.... Time you'll never get back
This game just infuriated me for it's shit factor. It's honestly the only final fantasy and LAST fucking Final Fantasy that i ever did and will force myself to play through ever again.
I wasn't even planning to give FFXIII a chance. I cut off the franchise completely after this game. Doesn't matter anyway. I heard Final Fantasy XIII sucked fucking ball sack. A bunch of my friends told me it was linear as shit and boring to play through. Just pretty eye candy. Nothing more.

Vaan is by far the most uninteresting,wimpy,meager,flimsy and pathetic character I've ever seen in the entire series. To me the main character normally can make or break the game since i have to "BE" them. Nothing repulsed me more then being in Vaans shoes. Aside from that the rest of the characters felt so "mediocre" i just didn't care if any of them died.
To answer some questions, there's a chest in the Hennes Mines Secret area that is supposed to have a 1/1000 chance to get the ZS. However, the treasure chest mechanics for FFXII are fully solved so if you want to get the ZS from the chest every time (maybe five minutes from the time you load a save file), it can be done reliably every time. No cheating. No game shark. Just google FFXII RNG manipulation and see what you find. Having 7 Zodiac Spears isn't that impressive, sadly.

Actually the chest in the henne mines is a 1/1000 chance. 10% you'll get item from chest 10% nothing from chest and in the item category 10% chance of getting spear
No glitch whatsoever, it is completely legit and here's how to get them: You unlock the pathway to the deeper part of the Henne Mines (10 Espers needed I reckon) where level 65+ creatures roam, then there will be a certain chest that contains a 1/10,000 chance to get a Zodiac Spear (wtih diamond armlet of course), so it's not impossible to get as many as you want, but it takes time. On average it takes 12 hours to get 1 spear.
Even at the time this comment was made (early 2010), methods for manipulating the treasure chest mechanics allowed players to get 99 spears without much effort. Time for each spear should be about 5 minutes for each one. No game shark, no hacking, no modification. It's possible to spawn the Hennes Mines chest reliably every time, and to get the ZS every time. You just have to know how the game is programmed and how to use cure spells to track your position in the RNG.
Actually, you can get as many Zodiac Spears as you'd like. You can only get one by the not opening certain treasure chests way. But there's a chest in the Henne Mines which has a slim, almost non existant chance of appearing and actually containing the ZS (about 0.1pcent I believe). So techically, you can have as many as you want.
Now being patient to endure the task, that's another story. Took me one week to get one that way. Some get it in their first try though...

If you want the Henne Mines one you need to get 10 espers and equip the diamond armlet and then you have a 1/1000 chance of finding a zodiac spear in one of the chests in the Henne Mines. Patience is also required. ^^;
yeah, tournesol its better, cuz after a determinate level you will take max damage with both weapons and tournesol begin to be better :P, but zodiac is good cuz u can get like in lvl 40, thats when i got it, and it sure help me :)
I got a couple of Danduros, not incredibly powerful, but you just need one monster in the crystal at Giruvegan to drop it. Also there's a really powerful gun in a chest in the floating mines, attack power of 50 but you don't subtract the enemy's armor for damage. That was more than adequate for Yiazmat. Rather than look for these weapons I found it more efficient to just leave the controls on a bunch of gambits and walk away from the TV when fighting a hard monster like Yiazmat.
how did he get the attack up effect on him? is the only way to get 9999 hp by casting bubble? like in all these videos posted, everyone taht had 9999 hp was cause of bubble?

No glitch whatsoever, it is completely legit and here's how to get them: You unlock the pathway to the deeper part of the Henne Mines (10 Espers needed I reckon) where level 65+ creatures roam, then there will be a certain chest that contains a 1/10,000 chance to get a Zodiac Spear (wtih diamond armlet of course), so it's not impossible to get as many as you want, but it takes time. On average it takes 12 hours to get 1 spear.

Even at the time this comment was made (early 2010), methods for manipulating the treasure chest mechanics allowed players to get 99 spears without much effort. Time for each spear should be about 5 minutes for each one. No game shark, no hacking, no modification. It's possible to spawn the Hennes Mines chest reliably every time, and to get the ZS every time. You just have to know how the game is programmed and how to use cure spells to track your position in the RNG.

in FF12 you can get as much as you want to get zodiac spear but in FF12 international, you can only get 1 zodiac spear.

Actually, you can get as many Zodiac Spears as you'd like. You can only get one by the not opening certain treasure chests way. But there's a chest in the Henne Mines which has a slim, almost non existant chance of appearing and actually containing the ZS (about 0.1pcent I believe). So techically, you can have as many as you want.
Now being patient to endure the task, that's another story. Took me one week to get one that way. Some get it in their first try though...

I could understand this time put into an mmo.... over a period of years.

If you want the Henne Mines one you need to get 10 espers and equip the diamond armlet and then you have a 1/1000 chance of finding a zodiac spear in one of the chests in the Henne Mines. Patience is also required. ^^;

yeah, tournesol its better, cuz after a determinate level you will take max damage with both weapons and tournesol begin to be better :P, but zodiac is good cuz u can get like in lvl 40, thats when i got it, and it sure help me :)

I got a couple of Danduros, not incredibly powerful, but you just need one monster in the crystal at Giruvegan to drop it. Also there's a really powerful gun in a chest in the floating mines, attack power of 50 but you don't subtract the enemy's armor for damage. That was more than adequate for Yiazmat. Rather than look for these weapons I found it more efficient to just leave the controls on a bunch of gambits and walk away from the TV when fighting a hard monster like Yiazmat.
