  • I am going to send her...TO THE SHADOWREALM.

  • What kind of people buy these "psychics'" bullshit? Are any of them less than 80 and/or NOT a Christian?!

  • @JohnnyJoyHardin New Agers fall right into this category. They eat this shit right up.

  • Thumbs up if you don't believe in ghosts!

  • Sylvia: - I'd be scared to death Larry, if I was right all the time, wouldn't that be scary"

This women is full of shite

  • How can she be wrong, if she is getting this information from the spirit of the people involved? Either she can communicate with those spirits, in which case she should be close to 100% correct, or she is not able to communicate with spirits and is simply making an educated guess which anyone could do. If you asked me what happened to that kid, I could have been AT LEAST as accurate as she was, purely by imaging what likely happened (and maybe throwing in a twist to make it more interesting).

  • 5:53 Yes, Sylvia. Having the ability to see the future and communicate with the deceased is all well and good, but being consistently accurate? That's just be WEIRD.

  • "I described her home... Her house in detail".... Google Earth has been around for a fair while now... I bet she was able to describe that lady's home in detail.

  • sylvia sounds like she smokes alot!

  • SEARCH FOR THIS VIDEO:

James Randi Challenge Exposed- A Lawyer Explains

  • "Capital Hogwash with a capital 'H'. ---> that says it all. :)"

  • 5:45 Larry asked Sylvia if she always have her gift and she shook her head no while saying yes. Her body language says it all. She's a COMPLETE FRAUD.

  • @nomu19ify I noticed that too :-)

  • Its a gift, and its hard to for people to understand....

  • @porkcharsui83 The only thing that some people have difficult to understand is that these are frauds

  • If I had genuine pyschic abilities I wouldn't rip people off by charging them money to hear pathetic little details that could apply to anything. It's all so obviously a scam that my head almost bursts to try and comprehend how they could be taken seriously.

  • There's no solid evidence of people with gifts like these so I'm just going to asune their all false.

  • he be playing yall ass like that old guy..lol

  • Yeah, sure i can describe a person's house too. (Looks at Google Earth). Anyone interested for me to find your house?

  • Personally if people are going to say that their gift comes from god, blah blah blah, then someone needs to provide proof of god's existence because until that happens, I can't give a person credit based on claims alone.

  • Who was telling me that? uuuuuuuum.... HER MOTHER! was telling me that.

  • @maxsil89 Repeating the question that was just asked to you... stalling tactic.

  • I think Sylvia Browne is a fraud and I think the same of many other psychics. Not all of them though I think are frauds. With that being said why would anyone want to take Randi's challenge? He is insistant upon you failing. He would justify any 'right' answer you get on anything, and he's negative and not "open". I dont see why anyone would want to take the challenge. Its a guaranteed fail.

  • @poisoncupcake74 how do u know hes not "open" thats a claim right there and im pretty sure u dont actually know whether he is or not. beyond that i dont see what it really matters. hes asking for evidence. either they have special powers or they dont. either they can produce results or they cant . . . i don believe in magic, psychics, god, angels, an afterlife, or any of that stuff. im still waiting for evidence but that doesnt mean im not open to evidence. id be thrilled if that stuff existed.

  • @poisoncupcake74 Your comment is the basis of a point I wanted to make. The psychic brought up the fact that there are people that claim to be of a profession that are failures, which is very true. She specifically brought up doctors and, that some are quacks which would also be true. Her statement is a reasonable one its the comparison that is flawed.

How long would it be before James Randi would give out his prize if it was extended to claims within the medical field?

  • @robvlob I disagree. Yes, of course there are good and bad doctors and lawyers. But to get to that they have to study a lot, prepare themselves years. Then they have to take exams and are accountable to boards of their peers. Unlike so called psychics who are not held accountable at all. They don´t prepare at all. So just the fact that you compare them is just nonsense

  • That was my intention of the comment to show how nonsensical the comparison that the so called psychic made.

Also to point out the very high probability that there would be plenty of takers to Randi's challenge if it was extended to the non supernatural which if my premise is correct shows how little true confidence the claimants of super natural powers actually has of their super natural powers.

  • @robvlob Yes, we agree then. It´s just silly when these people´s supporters try to put them in the same bag with true professionals because they make also mistakes. It´s one of the typical excuses these people use. Yep, if Randi´s Challenge was extended to the non supernatural, it wouldn´t last very long

  • Hmm, pseudo-skeptic stuff. James is making a fortune but I wonder if he actually believes any of it

  • $700/hr to talk to a person offering no tangible services whatsoever! INCREDIBLE!

  • The terrifying thing about psychics is that they're either one of two things: either they are deluded enough to genuinely believe what they are saying, or they are some of the most dedicated liars in history. That this woman can sit on live television and maintain throughout a falsehood is both remarkable and terrifying.

  • if all these psychics etc were so right, why are not they making front page news every day? bascially they are just deluded people who sincerely belived the tripe they are 'hearing' in their minds. or of course they are simply con men/women

  • Someone in the Spirit World just informed me that Rosemary Altea is full of tripe.

  • @Brahmsfourth Dude i paused when she said that. Some profound BS that is

  • she has been on the first bullshit episode and failed soooo miserably...and she claimes she is the real deal till this day!!!! Rediculus!!!

  • Sylvia Browne doesn't know if she's a psychic, but she has her doubts.

  • This is actally a thing to debate in the US??? How retarded are you?

  • @HataAlla Ha ha right, i hate how religious my country is, we are so easily deluded

  • I'm so torn on this. On one side it's really fucked up to give these people false hopes. On the other side, if someone is stupid enough to fall for this, then they kind of deserve it.

  • @donwest420 shut the fuck up ass shit your dad fucked your mum upside down, brutal

  • i'm a real psychic the winning number for this wednesday lotto is 5-9-22-27-29-33 (44),state begins with a T texas tacoma tenn p.s share your winnings with me

  • There are authentic psychics in the world.

Aboriginees in Australia, for example, communicate with their family members and friends telepathically, two of them living in separate places will decide to meet at a given point, they will start walking towards each other and meet. Amazing.

True psychics do not make a living out of their "gift", they do not advertise.

Rosemary Altea charges $500 for 50 minutes over the phone.

  • @belwaters It would be very interesting to study these aboriginees. However I think that most of that stuff has been exaggerated and part of urban legends

  • @ebrobaru No it wouldnt be that interesting to study Aboriginees. While it is true they often meet at a given point ,it is always the front bar of the nearest pub.

  • @belwaters BULLSHIT!

  • She says she never charges a fee for finding missing persons & only when asked by law enforcement. Law enforcement doesn't call on people like this. The FBI says a "psychic" has never solved a case. They are preying on desperate people at their weakest. Spending money they don't have for some kind of assurance. John Edwards really annoys me. He hears letters. The dead person is right next to him, but all he gets are letters.

  • No one will step up because they have everything to lose. if they win, they were suppose to. if they lose they're a fake and will lose their whole business and life. it's like the apollo creed fighting rocky. apollo shouldn't have taken the fight

  • whats crazy about this is that there are psychics that ive talked to who are literally DEAD on target about anything that i ask them to answer about me. And im talking even details! i have no idea how the hell they know it but they do. However im very skeptical of these people, but the ones ive talked to are pretty damn good.

  • @LuckyIzzy659 that´s what every believer claims. Every psychic is a fraud except "mine". They use simple tricks and techniques that anyone can learn. They make it seem amazinlgy accurate. But it´s more of the same.

  • @ebrobaru Im not a believer though. Im the first one to always say that these people are scams and bullshit. but i promise you with everything i have, that the 2 people have i have spoken with are real! if you message me, i will give you their number to contact them. I know it seems like i'd be lying but i dont believe in psychics. i really really think they are all bullshit, and scammers, but there are 2 people have i have talked to that did a damn good job.

  • @LuckyIzzy659 as with any aspect in life, there are people with different levels of skill. These "psychics" use simple techniques and tricks that anyone can learn. Of course, practice makes perfect. And we are very easily fooled. Human nature. You can send me a personal message through this very site. Thanks

  • @ebrobaru But then how would they know even personal details about me or my life?

Im actually going to be asking the 'psychic' some questions tomorrow when i get a chance to talk to her. She charges about 20 bucks for 30 minutes but she seemed to get everything about my mom dead on, even the little details, so ill have to see how she holds up. and i will be the one asking her the questions. She cannot ask me any, as shes supposed to 'already know' the answers. ;) ill tell you how it went.

  • @LuckyIzzy659 Psychics do research. The talk to people and look at old newspapers for obituaries which often mention details. But mostly they cold read and, if they're good at it, you'll tell them the details without even knowing it. There are some very good vids on cold reading. The one that springs to mind is Derren Brown talking to Richard Dawkins, well worth watching. And remember the $1,000,000 Challenge, if your psychic were real he/she wouldn't be piddling around with $20.

  • @colourmegone how can someone tell someone details and not know they've done it? thats like forgetting a full conversation. im sure psychics have better things to do in their time than rely on old newspapers. that sounds more crap than what they say. cold reading gives you very general stuff not details about people and then the people they also know. if you think cold reading is easy you try it and see how hard it is to guess right. it prob wont be.

  • @colourmegone I know. Ive thought of that, but there is no information out there about me or so ive looked for. Im also not easily impressed. she better be mentioning details, or else I will think shes just taking a good lucky guess. I tried to contact me, she never responded yet. I hope to talk to her today and see what she has to say.

  • @LuckyIzzy659 if possible film the session and we can review it together

  • @LuckyIzzy659 i hope it goes well. cold reading people who fake psychic abilities can guess stuff about you pretty accurately if they have good social skills and life experience, i will agree to that. however by looking at you they cannot guess and get right details of family and friends that are not present. for example if you are outgoing and bubbly it doesnt mean your mum or any1 else in the family is the same. believe what you feel is right .

  • Sylvia was "grateful" on the outside, but we all know she was @(*$#Y(*&#@*()% those cops finding that boy on the inside.

She is a charlatan, a con artist, and her primary accomplice in crime is MONTEL WILLIAMS. THANK GOD THAT GUY WITH HIS BORING SHOW IS OFF THE AIR. He was also a charlatan, who only got a show in America because he is Black.

  • 'Explain to me, something about psychics'

I love how that idiot opened her mouth to talk lol did she think he just wanted any random fact?

  • In 2009, Altea learned that Denise M. Hall, her accountant, had stolen $200,000 from her since, using four credit cards to obtain cash advances, forging cheques and giving herself unauthorized electronic paychecks all under Altea's name how come she couldnt foresee this coming?

  • @itsallgoodtoo

Lol almost makes you believe in Karma.

  • they are nothing but snake oil salesman look i can make it rain geeeeze people wake up

  • What can I do to help combat these psychic FRAUDS!!!!!!???????? Somebody tell me!!!!!

  • @dolphinsneu Blow the whistle every time you hear a friend or relative that believes on them, Show them the techniques the use to defraud.

  • @dolphinsneu Nothing. Do not discuss anything with them and simply label them as Cold Reading frauds to anyone who talks about them.

  • @dolphinsneu

Find one and harass them for several months. If you could start with Altea, that would be very awesome.

  • Where can I see that story about the kid labeled a sex offender for something trivial?

  • Larry is the worst interviewer I've ever seen how is even popular? Listen to all the ridiculous softball questions he throws at the guests and how he lets the psychic talk more then Randi, He loves playing into the scam what a disgusting excuse of a Man he is.

Psychics deserve to be exposed for the frauds they are.

  • @yakomuto He *

  • A quick lesson in lying. See, this is what us real cops do: We study liars. Example: If I ask you a question about something visual, like your favorite color, your eyes go up and to the left. Neurophysiology tells us your eyes go in that direction, because you're accessing the visual cortex. So you're telling the truth. If your eyes go up and right, you're accessing the brain's creative centers and we know you're full of shit.

  • @dravreh And what happens when your eyes do nothing?

  • @rejazeze Your are aware of the fact that you are lying.

  • @dravreh AWESOME!!!!!!!

  • @dravreh

That is interesting. But from what frame of reference is this. When you say people who look up and left tell the truth, is that left to the cop or the person being questioned?

  • @hobbitsarecool Hahaha!

  • @dravreh Teach me your ways, oh mighty cop, so that I may lie to you more proficiently!

  • @dravreh : good stuff

  • @dravreh why do cops use FAKES like Sylvia Brown to solve a cause? Don't they do these people are con artists?!

  • @charlottevard The don´t, don´t worry. That´s just what these fakes claim for publicity

  • @dravreh

While this is true there is a problem here. This is a pretty widely known little fact these days and one CAN train yourself to look up and to the left while being deceptive.

  • @dravreh - Is that why, each time I talked to cops, their eyes were constantly going up and to the right?

BTW, people like this Rosemary Althea, Sylvia Brown should be excecuted on the spot. Thankfully, we have real fighters like James Randi out there spotting those pieces of walking shit.

  • @dravreh This right and left is from your perspective or theirs?

  • @dravreh Woo Woo

  • @dravreh - I have to admit that sounds like shit to me. The direction in which you look when you're thinking about something is not proof of anything, and if you are a policeman as you state you are, I sincerely hope you apply more rigorous investigative methods than the direction someone is looking at.

  • @dravreh That's bullshit... When I think of things I always look down, people don't like it when they ask me a question and I am looking down, they take it as a am nervous and shy.

I bet you believe lie detectors work also? What about DNA evidence? Fool proof huh?

  • @dravreh and too bad that's complete bullshit. not a lick of truth to it. I sincerely hope that cops aren't actually using such pop pychology to tell if someone is lying. When exactly did "Neurophysiology" tell us that? And what's the difference between a real cop and a fake cop except maybe a guy who posts on youtube claiming to be a cop and spouting some completely fallacious nonsense that they saw in a movie?

  • @legionmantis As I said a year ago (and a million replys ago) - it is a direct quote from the movie "The Negotiator" from 1998. I thought people would get it, but i guess i should have put it in quotation marks. Sorry...

  • @dravreh my bad. sorry. i should have read the rest of your posts which clearly show your actual intent.

  • @dravreh

Actaully it's the other way around. People have a tendency to look left when lying.

  • @dravreh Samuel Jackson wants his script back.

  • @dravreh That isn't a real science, and isn't considered evidence in any way. I'm going to guess it's something you read online and believed, which is just as bad as the people who believe psychics.

  • @dravreh If it only was that easy...

  • @dravreh its not that simple, what you have stated there is different from person to person.

  • @dravreh If you are really a police officer, and you make actual yes or no decisions based on the way that someone looks, then I am very afraid. There is some patchy evidence to support what you say, but it is in no way enough to base lawful decisions on them. Only the very simplest of people will actually clearly show this and anyone else is far more likely to use this method in reverse to confuse you. I really hope that you are just bullshitting on the internet... seriously, wow

  • @Glynnwat I am amazed that people watching a James Randi video are so blindly supportive of this "quick lesson in lying"

Even the skeptics are blindly thumbing up unproven bullshit. With the added bonus of him claiming to carry out the law using this method.

Terrifying is not a strong enough word to describe this.

  • @Glynnwat what is he lying about?

  • @dravreh This phenomenon of course relies on brain lateralization which can sometimes be determined by handedness and often not without complex testing. This technique is playing the odds, which is why I hope these observations and their abstract companions are taken with a grain of salt or not at all. I don't want to some day end up being interrogated for 12 hours because a layman felt like rolling dice.

  • @20vtmk1 what phenomenon exactly is that?

  • @dravreh that's only if the person is right handed, also you need to take up base lines and people who genuinely work in a public forum may be very well aware of this and can be trained to look in the other direction.

  • @dravreh

That is actually NOT always the case. The up & left = truth / Up & right = deception has fallen under some heavy question lately and a lot of work coming out now is demonstrating that handedness completely eliminates that generality.

  • 700 dollars in an hour for making up shit to gullible, naive sheep? How convenient.

As long as there are dumb fucks who believe in this pile of dog shit, there will always be a scumbag lurking around to fool, the fool.

  • What story was Anderson Cooper talking about?

  • 'One couples struggle with a mountain lion'...Is it just me, or is struggle the wrong word here? I don't know the story obviously, but it sounds like its taken residence on their roof or something.

Also, every time that bitch said spirit world I wanted to smack her. These people need mental help.

  • What they do should be illegal unless they sell it as for entertainment purposes only.

So many people are scammed by psychics and astrologers. Psychics are the true bottom of the barrel because they prey on people who have lost loved ones.

  • @R0YB0T You are going into dangerous territory here. Unless you propose to charge every single preacher, rabbi, mulla or whatever they call themselves, you cannot exclude physics - they sell so-called spiritual/supernatural that is by definition is not testable. Propagation of religious(spiritual) believes is legal in US. The evidence criteria for a spiritual believe is a personal testimony and therefore if there is at least one person who believes it should be legal.

  • @cheburashka1326 When physics has a theory they cannot explain it is explained as such and studied. They don't "sell" them as anything but a working in progress if they are not certain. Remember science is dynamic and after the truth. It is not a democracy, it simply is or it isn't.

I think religion should be sold as entertainment purposes only. Their stories are just as fantastic if not more so than any other book of fiction.

  • @R0YB0T scientific method and science are not applicable when it comes to religious believe or US law applications on a religion. While I agree with your estimate of religion/spirituality, prosecuting physics would be unconstitutional, even it is scientifically justifiable. Religious believe is something that US government cannot interfere with.

  • google maps told her the description of the house

  • I'll believe this the day a psychic gives me the six correct numbers in the Powerball lottery.

  • Fuck you, fraudulent psychics. ALL of them should be run out of town.

  • Where can I find the story that was on after this show? (at about 5:00 they talk about it)

  • I've had a lot of premonitions that have been accurate, but it's not all the time, it's something that comes and go, but the worst is that I'VE NEVER SEEN A 6 LOTTO NUMBERS IN MY MIND GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  • i wanna no wat that story was about that kid who served a 10 year sentence, anyone know?

  • listen to rosemarys linguistic patterns...she is totally lying!!! especially when asked who was giving her the info! the way in which she responds strongly suggests deception!

  • do these people actually believe they have psychic powers .. it would seem so ..

  • Yesh its CAPITAL hogwash with a capital H

LMAO priceless! Randi strikes one for the good guys!

  • so she has google earth

  • Even if we admit, without evidence, a presumption of communication with the deceased, what evidence is there to show that a deceased person's word is more reliable than a live person's?

  • 2:55 ..... facepalm.

  • I wonder if these jackasses actually believe their own bullshit. Obviously some of them are just straight up con-artists, but some of them seem to actually REALLY believe they can do this crap. XD

  • people are crazy ... I love this planet....

  • $700 an hour sounds reasonable to me.

Shoveling horseshit is hard, nasty work.

  • @joeypolanski haahaha! when i read the ,,is reasonable,, part i was like what an *sshole! then i read the rest hahah

  • Is Sylvia Browne really Harvey Fierstein in drag?

  • If I was a psychic, I would take that Million and send it to haiti.

Saying you dont want the money is bullshit. Take it and give it away. easy.

  • I wonder how many packs of cigarettes that Sylvia somkes a day, her voice is terrible.

  • couple of frauds!Hah you should be happy people.back in my country there are thousands of them.and almost every single person believes in them, even the president has his own psycic.

  • @ilham78 Man, that's really rotten to hear how many cultures often are more accepting of untrue things. You're from Azerbaijan, right?

  • Christian psychics! lol The Bible say "You shall not suffer a witch" Stone here! She's a witch!

  • larry king is such an idiot. he wants to believe in this crap so bad you can tell. he has had these shows before and you hear n his voice he wants it to be true.

  • What does she see....?

    She sees easy money gain...

Man, I am sad for living in a world with so many sutpid people...

  • 5:46 she shakes her head and says "always have it "

  • i can tell you that by using google earth :)

  • im not sure how this is any different than conning someone in other ways..

  • LOL Apparently with 50 or 60 min she can talk to anybody who ever died, How can anybody believe this shit?

  • He spoke qwith Hitler and he'll whip your ass if you doubt!

    L0L

  • Man she is some dick.. Randi is a legend. Appearantly "she doesnt want a million dollars" what a sap

  • Oh believe me she wants that million dollars more than anything, she's just a fake

  • Did anybody else crack up at the irony of the psychic medium Syvlia saying she was 'unable to reach' James Randi? Hell I think I could get in touch with Randi even though I dont have oogabooga magical brain powers

  • If Gods did exist.. James Randi would be the first id point to can acknowledge as one of them

  • i bet i could've laid down that foundation of belief that rosemary did with the house/garden using google earth.

  • Ohhhh you mean to say..dragon's don't exist..What about ' Puff ' then.

  • Next on CNN....Sylvia burns in hell

  • Rosemary Altea is a Milf....and a bitch...and a she lies...;)

  • rosemary bullcrap f-off bitch. leeching off people in distress. if paranormal stuff do exist, den she will be the first to go to hell

  • Paranormal BULLSHIT

  • Rosemary Altea is about as "psychic" as a jar of dead flies. She won't accept Randi's challenge because she knows she'll fail; it's as simple as that.

  • If people are "psychic" then we might as well claim that God exists. While we're at it, we should just go ahead and say dragons exist too.

  • I'm actually a transmorphed dragon, hiding as a hu.... oh wait, my shrink says I can't say that

does that mean I don't exist? hehe.

I do disagree a bit though... paranormals and god may not be connected

  • Regardless; people do not have any psychic prowess.

  • I probably have to agree

  • @Cansololife Dragons are awesome! :D

  • Sylvia Browne sounds a bit like Eva Braun.

    Coincidence?

  • It is true, people hear voices, they are called looney's.

  • howd she do a 2 minute thingy if it takes way more than 20 min , im confused

  • His life is very fulfilling thank you. He doesn´t "bother" only psychics, but anyone claiming paranormal capabilities.

I guess you also think that police shouldn´t "bother" criminals too.

  • Year 2007: Still wondering if people can speak with the dead.

    God damn!

  • lol that random cheeky guy hits the nail on the head in about 2 seconds 'I'd settle for the power ball number'

yeh how many seers ever win the lottery

  • These people are charlatan's and they deserve to be shunned from society, at the very least. How dare they indulge people with false hopes for money.

  • haha, sorry dude I misread what you wrote. I thought you wrote Christians instead of Charlatans. Either way I agree :)

  • If you sell a product you have to show how you make it or put the ingredience on the label. Why is it that psychics do not have to prove thier product before they sell it?

  • Rosemary completely changed her look since she was so wonderfully lambasted on Penn and Teller's Bullshit, and she's back at it. I loved watching her grimace while James Randi was talking. Oh and, to all of you claiming to have some kind of connection to the spiritual world, get a fucking life and please make sure that it's an honest one.

  • Both these ladies are cheating morons.

  • the kid was gone for 5yrs the best coin toss guess, he's dead. Thats the best guess anyone would make including the cops..

  • There's no such thing as a genuine psychic...they are ALL FAKE!!!

  • I have to agree with you. If you look at Rosemary Altea from 3.10 - 3.14; the repeating back of the question being put to her to give her time to think of what to say, then the wide open eyes followed by the pained expression - these are classic signs of someone about to lie,
