The west pier should be left as it is, it has become a natural living sculpture. There is so much more to this structure that the parts that you see above the surface. Below the waves, this pier has begun to transform into a reef, providing a home for many different species of marine life, where there would otherwise just be sand.

I couldn't agree more, I think it's beautiful, it has such an amazing atmosphere, I was just in Brighton for 2 weeks and I miss being away from the sea and I've totally fallen in love with the place, I hope the West Pier stays, just the way it is.
