WTF are you guys smoking thinking that the tiger was trying to save his life? Animals in general follow instinct and when they do that, they hardly think about what they're doing, they just do what they were programmed to do by nature. A tiger is designed by nature to be a super carnivore meaning that it kills and eats anything it wants. I'm not a tiger expert or anything but I'm pretty sure only females carry cubs in their mouths and only when the cubs are still young.

@peng17 Montecore was raised by Roy since it was a cub. Why would Montecores suddenly attack Roy? The problem occurred when a fan tried to pet the tiger, and Roy attempted to stop the fan but tripped on stage. Roy had a stroke and that's when Montecores attempted to drag Roy off the stage by biting it's neck. Although Roy had blood loss his neck was not injured.

The arguments that Montecote was just carrying Roy off stage like a mother carrying a cub is insane. Montecore was a MALE tiger, and tigers have two methods of killing their prey--one is to grab prey under about 150 lbs is to grab it by the neck. For larger prey, the tigers go for the throat and drag it off to eat it.

. Besides, white tigers do not exist in the wild. It is a genetic mutation. Couple that with breeding a bengal with a larger siberian tiger and this happens.

I guess it's likely flash photography is prohibited (so cameras may not be allowed at all). However, you'd think there would be security cameras or something.

Roy fell down during the show and Montecore reacted like a Tiger mother would by dragging her cubs to safety by the neck. Unfortunately the tiger had no way of knowing that roy did not have a layer of thick hide and fur from which to be dragged.

If the tiger wanted to kill roy, it could have snapped his neck in a second, he would not have survived.
