I'm having a problem, I've connected the screen and the playstation to each other properly with the old fashioned red-white-yellow cables, and also both to the electric socket. Yet when I turn on the ps3 and the tv the screen remains blue when i cycle through video 1, 2 and 3 and DVD. Earlier it used to show up on video 1. Quick Fix

1. Turn off PS3 and unplug HDMI cable.

2. Turn off PS3 power switch (on back of PS3)

3. Unplug TV from power source (wall, power strip, etc.)

*. At this point the TV is unplugged the PS3 is powered down completely and the HDMI cable is only connected to the TV.

4. Plug HDMI cable into PS3

5. Plug TV back into power source

6. Turn on PS3 Power switch.

7. If it works like mine the next time you start up (component/composite) it will ask to switch to HDMI. Like it should.

Hi-we followed a method after Green light-no video problem. Used solder flux(no clean) and heat gun, arctic silver, and were very careful. No when we power on; we only get the restore message-Plug in controller thru USB port---and it will not do anything else- it freezes and have to turn the power off & same thing again. @Skeeeterbite If you have been using the PS3 on AV then went back to HDMI it can effect your display settings its a very easy fix. Just switch off the ps3, then hold the power button for about 3 seconds and settings should restart.

Actuallt if you just hold the button down with hdd for like 20 secs it will instatly turn off and then continue on so you dont have to unpolug the hdd to do it.

@pudsta1 It could be a problem with your graphic card, this fix is only useful if you get corrupt data which you have even changed your hdd. I would get it checked by Sony.
