  • You gotta have the paperwork from the US to be ab le to register it here in Sweden.. I suspect they caught it during the paperwork thing..

It was most likely a restoration car since it's cheaper to buy a restored Vette in Sweden than to import a restored one from the US..

Besides.. Most american "restorations" isn't exactly worth the money ;)

  • i remember seeing this on good morning america or something like that, where they returned the vette to the owner like on tv. all i know is i will kill someone if i find out my dads 69 vette gets stolen.

  • he might get 24 g and im shure it cost 35 g to get it back 2 where it was

  • 37 years is crazy but that is so sweet of a car.. like the story

  • man i woulda shit my pants when they called hey its been 37 years but we found it!

  • Is nice to know that good stuff happens to people wronged ^.^

  • HAHAHA, This shit is so crazy, 15 years ago my dads f-250 utility bed mechanics truck was stolen from his shop. about 40grand in tools in it. 5 years later he got a call from Miami port authority, they found it in a container along with MANY other trucks bound for south america. It still had his tools in it an all his paper work in the glove box.

  • WOW i actually live in DownTown Long Beach Ca

  • sucks for the theif

  • Not thee original thief, that car probably changed hands so many times

  • There was something like this on CNN a few weeks ago. The LA Port Authority found this guys VW bus that was stolen from him in the 60's...

  • ATM machine.

  • Well actually, VIN means Vehicle Identification Number. Or did I come in at the wrong time?

  • I work at the Port of Long Beach container terminal yards installing yard cameras. I was there when customs found this car. Tell me, did they arrest the person trying to ship the car out of the country? Did they get prosetuted and sent to prison? How were the thieves able to register and drive this car all these years? I heard this car was going to be shipped to Sweden before customs intervened, is this correct? Thanks

  • lucky boy getting that back :D

  • nice car

  • luck man

  • Good story about a very nice car. Thanks for the video.

  • Nice car and a good story. What's this got to do with hating swedes by the way?

  • The Swede that bought the car lost both the car and hos money - there are no method to check for that old offences. American recods at it's best...

It took me once almost two months to have a title transfered to me in the US. Here in Sweden it takes one or two days...

  • the moral of the story: Fuck sweden

  • Awesome story! My '98 coupe is Nassau blue, man. Close... but no '69 Stingray!
