I was watching ign earlier and they had said a rumor going around that there will be 4 new dead space games in 2012 i dont think so. they said one will be a spacecraft shooter, a uncharted like one, first person shooter, and the last one will be dead space 3 the last game i dont think its true i wouldnt take so literaly.

yeaa.... the collectors edition doesn't just come with a lithograph and woohooo. Right out of the box you gain the zelot suit and zelot force gun which cost nothing at the store. (ZERO DOLLARS) zelot suit has one of the best protection for a suit right out of the box. Its very good and its free. Not to mention the zelot force gun gets extra damage added to it. thats free. these items are only exclusive to the the collectors edition and will never come to any other edition, Visceral has said.
@metalmacbeth Ah, poop. That would have been pretty cool...oh well, I'm not the big on DLC anyway (though I DID grab the Obsidian Suit for the original while it was free) unless it's a new story of some kind (like Severed), never been big on getting extra suits/weapons/etc.
@Zaranyzerak yea the dlc for dead space 2 isn't a as original as it was in DS1. you dont get Special suits. they just charge stasis more here and there and increase weapon damage. which is pointless if you have them all maxed out. i dont know they they did that. i just tried severed and its hell short but pretty epic ending. sad in a way. they will release others as well they said.

When you were wondering where that noise was coming from (in the room right after the blood packets you wanted to throw) it was coming from the audio link on the arm of the dead guy. If you were paying attention to him when you entered the room you'd see the bluish glow coming from his arm.
did u notice the easter egg on the x-rays in the room where the guy was having somesort of sugery with a plasma cutter? all three rooms around the main one have x-rays on the wall,if u look on the skull there is a giant V on the forehead hencing of Viseral games ( this is in all rooms around the main one)
first time playing this game, i bought it in the middle of the night and decided to play this at 5:30 am well,got up,turned on xbox, and first opening i nearly broke my controller for throwing it in the air.....id rather play this at night scared as hell than morning and tired as hell
This is the second DS2 walkthrough I've watched--the first was a run and gun style because I was anxious to get to the story. I will wait patiently for your DS3 (because we know it's coming) walkthrough because this style is the best I've ever seen! I am so much more immersed in the atmosphere and creeped out by things this time, and am getting to see hidden nooks and crannies the other walkthrough completely missed. Zaranyzerak Be Praised!

I've been catching up on some movies while uploading, editing the next part, etc. I can even watch YouTube vids in another tab without any noticeable hit on download speed. I'm rarely bored, there's always something to do. :)

Dude ur a gore hound then i most be a gore devil because i STOMP STOMP STOMP them about 20 times or something to the point some times that there's hardles eny blood left in them i even stomp the body part's some times but the fully upgraded javelin does alot more mess most of the time but if u want ultimate gore use the fully upgraded javalen and then STOMP STOMP that should work.
I have completed this twice on normal now i'm doing it on suvivalist but with all the suit's wat are in the game in the store apart from the one i'm wearing i think it all of them eny way and some upgraded wepons the javelin when fully upgraded waaaaaw.
Hope i get this soon. The last playtest i wetn to yesterday, was for capcom. No free games from them. Just 50 bucks cash for filling out a survey on a weak ass R.E. concept involving squad based missions, like on BBC2. It would be involving all past characters as NPC's and enemies from prior games. It could work I...I guess. On the final question , if i wanted to send capcom a special message, I told em to fix the broken controls which they keep trying to pass off as "Exclusive R.E. gameplay"

Running parallel to that, I'm also working through your FI series on the first game. Call me picky, but the other vids that run through that game are devastatingly boring without the amusing input.
@killemallification Hardcore mode is: 3 Saves, no real checkpoints, no new game+, Zealot item drop rate and Survivalist Necromorph difficulty.
It's Zealot in terms of items with save limits, but only Survivalist in terms enemy hardness. I know, I've played Zealot. Enemies hurt, on Hard Core not so much. but I'm glad, with only three saves I don't want to die so easily at chapter 5 before I reach a valuable save point

After my first play through of Dead Space I started stomping bodies...same as my first play through of Dead Space 2. I just wanted to make sure an Infector didn't come along to ruin my already tense day. :D
@killemallification Hard Core is Zealot in terms of difficulty. I said that, they don't up the enemy strength or damage, they just give you three saves and no checkpoints. If he did Zealot at some point, he'd find out that it's the same. Expect you can't just save at every save station after an encounter ¬¬

Can't watch the whole thing yet but will say a couple of things, if you reead Hard Core differculty is Impossible+. Zealot with only three saves, no checkpoints. Nasty huh?
There's 4 rooms in the game that can only be unlocked if you played Dead Space ignition, they are Conduit rooms. They give the exclusive audio logs and gear as well as power nodes, health packs, and credits to give Isaac an edge during Dead Space 2.
Also, just like those spieks you can throw. You can pick up Necromorph blades and claws to throw at them. Try picking up a slashers claws and killing another by throwing it at them. A nice ammo saver.
yay awesome did u notice u couldnt get into "conduit rooms" ? ...... u unlock them in dead spoace ignition puzzle game :D so yeah have 2 wait and see for part 2 whether or not u could get into one but yeah u miss out on quite alot of goodies in those conduit rooms alone even scematics for various things ... which i bet annoyed quite a few people :)

@falmatrix2r There's some comments about that elsewhere in the, well, comments. General concensus seems to be go with the PS3 version. PC version is a bit prettier (higher resolution), but apparently the controls aren't as slick...
@Zaranyzerak i found dead space 1 for 5$ on Steam two weeks ago and got it for PC, it definately seems it wasn't made for a mouse..but like you said it is prettier on PC..also there is another reason which is price, on PC it's already 35€ and its still 60€ for consoles..i don't get that since you get a prettier game on PC and they charge you less, its INSANE the difference in price..and last reason is that i have a brother, if i get it on ps3 he'll be able to play too..but im a pc gamer really..
@Zaranyzerak Hey, try out the "classic" aiming, in settings > control. If you liked the aiming laser in Dead Space 1, then you'll definitely like this.

I thought you mentioned some video-signal via the TV or video-recorder or camera perhaps?
I've been trying to find a way to record my PS3-video in HD, or even in any quality, but it seems quite limited.
Apart from that you can buy some piece of hardware especially for recording from consoles or something.

Dude ur a gore hound then i most be a gore devil because i STOMP STOMP STOMP them about 20 times or something to the point some times that there's hardles eny blood left in them i even stomp the body part's some times but the fully upgraded javelin does alot more mess most of the time but if u want ultimate gore use the fully upgraded javalen and then STOMP STOMP that should work.

I have completed this twice on normal now i'm doing it on suvivalist but with all the suit's wat are in the game in the store apart from the one i'm wearing i think it all of them eny way and some upgraded wepons the javelin when fully upgraded waaaaaw.

Hope i get this soon. The last playtest i wetn to yesterday, was for capcom. No free games from them. Just 50 bucks cash for filling out a survey on a weak ass R.E. concept involving squad based missions, like on BBC2. It would be involving all past characters as NPC's and enemies from prior games. It could work I...I guess. On the final question , if i wanted to send capcom a special message, I told em to fix the broken controls which they keep trying to pass off as "Exclusive R.E. gameplay"

Interesting. Thank goodness you made this at the time you did; otherwise, I wouldn't have some Dead Space 2 at 5 in the morning. I got to this after getting done with Extraction, so I was pleasantly surprised at your active role in this vid. I giggled... alot...

Running parallel to that, I'm also working through your FI series on the first game. Call me picky, but the other vids that run through that game are devastatingly boring without the amusing input.

@killemallification Hardcore mode is: 3 Saves, no real checkpoints, no new game+, Zealot item drop rate and Survivalist Necromorph difficulty.
It's Zealot in terms of items with save limits, but only Survivalist in terms enemy hardness. I know, I've played Zealot. Enemies hurt, on Hard Core not so much. but I'm glad, with only three saves I don't want to die so easily at chapter 5 before I reach a valuable save point

I love the begging of the this game; the way you arm yourself is just brilliant and better shows Issac's ingenuity.
After my first play through of Dead Space I started stomping bodies...same as my first play through of Dead Space 2. I just wanted to make sure an Infector didn't come along to ruin my already tense day. :D

@killemallification Hard Core is Zealot in terms of difficulty. I said that, they don't up the enemy strength or damage, they just give you three saves and no checkpoints. If he did Zealot at some point, he'd find out that it's the same. Expect you can't just save at every save station after an encounter ¬¬

Can't watch the whole thing yet but will say a couple of things, if you reead Hard Core differculty is Impossible+. Zealot with only three saves, no checkpoints. Nasty huh?
There's 4 rooms in the game that can only be unlocked if you played Dead Space ignition, they are Conduit rooms. They give the exclusive audio logs and gear as well as power nodes, health packs, and credits to give Isaac an edge during Dead Space 2.
Also, that's Stross from Dead Space Aftermath =D

Also, just like those spieks you can throw. You can pick up Necromorph blades and claws to throw at them. Try picking up a slashers claws and killing another by throwing it at them. A nice ammo saver.

yay awesome did u notice u couldnt get into "conduit rooms" ? ...... u unlock them in dead spoace ignition puzzle game :D so yeah have 2 wait and see for part 2 whether or not u could get into one but yeah u miss out on quite alot of goodies in those conduit rooms alone even scematics for various things ... which i bet annoyed quite a few people :)

@Zaranyzerak yeah im afraid so :( ... theres only two scematics ... one is a hacker suit and one is an upgraded contact beam ( not with power nodes but it will tell in description of the weapon itself) .... thts all im gunna say haha dont want to give u any spoilers and also tht person tht died right when u started (the coloured fella) hes the main character in dead space ignition and well ... enough said haha :D

@falmatrix2r There's some comments about that elsewhere in the, well, comments. General concensus seems to be go with the PS3 version. PC version is a bit prettier (higher resolution), but apparently the controls aren't as slick...

@Zaranyzerak i found dead space 1 for 5$ on Steam two weeks ago and got it for PC, it definately seems it wasn't made for a mouse..but like you said it is prettier on PC..also there is another reason which is price, on PC it's already 35€ and its still 60€ for consoles..i don't get that since you get a prettier game on PC and they charge you less, its INSANE the difference in price..and last reason is that i have a brother, if i get it on ps3 he'll be able to play too..but im a pc gamer really..

@Zaranyzerak Hey, try out the "classic" aiming, in settings > control. If you liked the aiming laser in Dead Space 1, then you'll definitely like this.
