1.put usb on xbox slim 2.configure it on xbox slim 3.go to old xbox configure it on old xbox 4.import memory from xbox to usb flash drive 5.take out the usb and plug it to new xbox slim 5. Go to ur memory in system settings(new xbox)6.select usb flsh drive 7.then import all the memory u wnt to ur new xbox

I turned off my console with my usb in and now it says i have to configure the usb and it will erase all my data on the usb. i have a 100% completed game on there.

i did what you said and after i put evey thing i wan in it i plugged it in to my computer and i opened it and i seen nothing... and i want to know will all my saved game play stay with my gamer profile like halo reach i looked in games and all i seen was my build worlds when i put it on my new xbox slim will my game be saved on it but with out my build worlds and will my all achievements be there i want to know before my bro moves out after x-mas and i get my xbox on the 27 dec plz right back

@bahamut947 No, the account must also transfer with the data to a flash/hard drive, and then transfered to another xbox to work... otherwise you can't access any of the content without being logged into it's corresponding account

@minush56 Yes, pretty sure. However, you also have to transfer the gamer profile along with it, or it won't allow you to access the files as well (as in, you can only have the gamer profile, and the dlc on one xbox at a time)

So say I have a 20 GB flash drive and I have 16GB on my hard drive. I can put all the memory into that USB, take it out of the old xbox then plug it into the new one and transfer the memory into the new hard drive?

Look you guys if you want to transfer from one memory to another just put the USB in and put copy until it's full.... Then go to the other memory and paste it .... Do that until you have moved what you wanted to move.... And yes you can do this for the slim too

the usb drive is not compatible with the xbox, you either need to try a stronger drive or they have one that Microsoft programmed to work.
