Kelly is a serious artist. She takes chances with her music. She is more versatile and sings with so much emotion. She is an international superstar. Carrie is boring, predictable, and fake. She hardly feels the songs she sings. She sings the same stuff over and over. Her albums are all the same. Kelly is unique and Carrie is just another blonde country singer. I know Carrie does not take risks like Kelly but she adds little bit of different flavor to her cds. I don't wont her to do anything else but country. I have all of Kelly and Carrie cds because they are couple of my favorite artists. I cant choose because they are the only ones I cant choose between. They are some of the few artists who amaze me with their voice and talent.

Kelly has sung a lot of different genres and even did country tour with Reba. I thought it was cool Reba the queen of country asked her to do tour and Kelly has never even done country album. They must have admired each other. Kelly voice even kind of change to. I dont know how to explain it but Kelly fans will know what Im talking about. I love Carrie to. I think they both are versatile singers. Kelly experiments more with her music and takes more risks. Not all her albums are the same.

I think Carrie has done great. BUT come on now, Kelly's voice and vocals are untouchable. Beautiful, raw, powerful, vulnerable - she can do it all, and sing all genres too. Kelly's country songs with Reba were the bomb, and that's not even my style of music :)

Carrie is much more powerful than Kelly, she can belt long, loud, powerful notes on tour for over a year and not lose her voice, Kelly yells and her voice cannot take the beating, that is why she gets hoarse and strained and is reduced to performing her songs live in a lower key. Carrie can do the rocker screaming that Kelly tries to do (ex Paradise City) and her voice doesn't give out. When Kelly tries to power up her voice with more chest, she cracks and becomes very very hoarse.

Yeah they are powerful and effortless. Jealous that Carrie isn't as powerful as Kelly. She does not crack in 'up to the mountain' heck Carrie couldn't handle that song. yeah Kelly took classical training even though she probably dint' it but it made her versatile on the plus side which Carrie's not. When Kelly sang in Arizona, Barbados, and at Wango Tango recently she was not out of tune. There were people at those shows twittering how amazing she was.

kelly's notes are not powerful or effortless...they are very strained and airy, forced. she cracks a lot especially in "up to the mountain" on C#s and F#s. she is a very forced singer. she also has classical training while carrie doesn't. carrie is better :)

and kelly goes an octave higher than this in falsetto, but it was out of tune and she only did it once...so it doesn't count. carrie can scream that high tho, and it was less flat than kelly singing that high. carrie wins. :)

she's hit many awful pitchy notes after american idol to make up for not having as many during the show lol. so many times she cracks, many many "up to the mountain" performances, miss independent- daytona, party in the park, season 2 american idol finale, caroline rhea, many sober performances, many never again performances, etc. kelly pushes her voice so much and so hard she starts to crack on notes that are not even high.

this video intentionally uses the worst of carrie, performances where she was sick, performances where she was pitchy, and not even her highest notes. but used kelly's best most widely acclaimed performances...anyone who cannot see that is an idiot! also kelly has classical training where carrie has none.

kelly has gone a little higher, but with forcing her voice...carrie does not force her voice, so she can definitely hit any notes that kelly has. kelly's aren't much higher anyway.

If Kelly were the only idol, she would END American Idol rather quickly. She has sold more albums than Carrie, but in time comparison in regards to the amount of time they've both been singing, Kelly should have sold far more and Carrie is doing fine.

Kelly rarely goes off pitch. Even though I like Carrie, Kelly hits those high notes a little bit better. Not trying to be mean but I don't think Carrie could handle most of the songs Kelly sang on Idol which were usually the Celine, Mariah, Whitney, Aretha songs.
