  • Osbournefan123, I'm with you. I just started a small collection too. I guess I also have to give a shout out to those other guage fans. You know, trains come in all shapes and sizes, and they're all cool. I've learned that you can't sweat the small stuff. Everyone out there picks a guage for various reasons. I can't tell a guy that, because he chose HO, S, or G, or whatever, that he's an idiot. Fact is, no matter the guage, if you're enjoying what you've got for trains, then good for you.

  • HO IS TO SMALL I HAD AN HO SET AS A KID IT WAS A TYCO SANTA FE DIESEL SET BUT WHEN I WHENT OVER MY UNCLES HOUES ONE YEAR HE HAD HIS O GAUGE POSTWAR LIONEL #250 PENNSY SET UP THATS WHEN I KNEW I WANTED TO COLLECT LIONEL O GAUGE TRAINS O GAUGE LIKE YOU SAID HAS AWAYS BEEN WHAT THE PEPOLE WANT AND IS JUST RIGHT IN SIZE AND THATS ALL I HAVE TODAY IS O GAUGE TRAINS BY LIONEL FROM THE PREWAR TO TODAYS LIONEL SETS MY ONE BUDDY GOT A KATO HO OR N SET AND EVEN HE SAID THERE JUNK HE SENT IT RIGHT BACK

  • i love trains

  • Lllygy

  • @HarveyHenkelmann Haha..thats a good one. Even tho its H0 (H-Zero), people always do the error of saying its a letter "O" and not a "zero".

  • Nice holiday layout!

  • Just a sales pitch for Chinese junk!

  • great train,,,,it is always fun to play with toy trains

  • woulda been cool if they had some post war or even prewar mixed in showing how lionel has changed throughout the years

  • @Osbournefan123 i called lionel a few years back when they had our 1225 bershire polar express engine for a bad smoke element and wanted to speak with somone in charge because they had the engine for almost 4 months at the time i waited almost an hour before he gets on the phone and i took him these trains you guys make today realy lack what lionel once was like in the prewar & postwar & mpc eras and that they need to get back to the usa the name lionel has no bizz over there in china he hung up

  • @RerailMe

Then go look at ho vids dumbass

  • @RerailMe Really, why do you HO fanatics look on these vids then? So what? It may not look real, who gives a crap!!! It's still the best gauge in the hobby hands down. HO will never beat O gauge or O scale, becuase it's been the best for over 100 years, and besides, if HO were the best, then explain the fact Lionel discontinued HO in the 60's shortly after its introduction.

    ......Exactly....

  • This isn't Lionel. This is Chionel. Made in China. It's a damn shame.

  • Yeah. That's why the 'postwar' 45-69 trains are the best! Operating features AND made in the great country of AMERICA!

  • Sad about being made in China but if they were made here the would be out of business again. we have price ourselves out of the market. by the way i'm having more fun with my chinky trains than i ever had with my 1946 set.

  • @sunrecords56 , the problem with the Chinese produced trains is that they simply cannot stand up......quality is zero compared to Pre and Postwar Lionel.

  • @cochranexyz

    Another U.A.W. hit

  • @cochranexyz

Another great move spurred by the U.A.W.

  • Not the owners of Lionel? Not the shareholdes? Not the actual people who still buy product? The one word answer of "Unions" just doesn't wash with me.

  • @cochranexyz LOL!!

  • Al did not know the gage!!what a dork

  • LOL!

  • Ann is amazed!

  • The starter set is a Metro-North commuter rail not a subway. The R27 subway came out first.

  • They brought the high-end subway train not the starter set version.

Lionel employees in New York could develop a shelf railroad for the background of the Today Show during the Christmas season.
