Yes you can. This mod is for use in conjunction with a hard drive (for the older style PS2 only). Save games onto the hard drive and use this method to boot up HDLoader (for those who don't have the original HDLoader disc). You're able to play jap, pal, usa, all games from all region. Even rebuilt, resized games. Homebrews and emulators can be booted from ulaunch.
You can not just download a game then burn it onto a disc and play it. That will defeat the whole purpose of a pressed disc. If you wanna play backups, you'll need a way to boot it up (either through mod-chip, swap magic, cog swap or homebrews similar to it). If you have none of what I just mention and no ARMAX, CodeBreaker, Gameshark, etc, then there's no chance you're able to set it up on your own. Have someone with a modded console, or a way to boot/install homebrews, to install it for you.
Because when making the PSTwo (this is the proper name for the slimline), Sony had fix the buffer overflow that hackers were able to exploit in the phat version. Even if you manage to get the exploit working with the slimline, you'll need additional components and BIOS that the PS2 was equipped with, to have the exploit working properly.
Theres many ways. You can choose any of the following:
1. Use a PS2 capable of booting up backups (mod-chip, swap magic, etc;)
2. Use a cheat device such as AR Max, CodeBreaker
3. Or send the exploit via network
With method 1, simply burn the exploit using any burning software, then pop the disc into the PS2 and install exploit onto memory card. With method 2, create the exploit and convert it to MC format, save it onto a USB flash drive, then use AR MAX or CodeBr to transfer from USB to MC.
Method 3, (this requires a cheat device too) create exploit, convert it to memory card (MC) format, upload it to AR Max or CodeBreaker or whichever cheat device you want to use, via their website, boot cheat device, connect your PS2 to the internet, search for the exploit and download it into the MC.
Personally, method 1 is the best, easiest and most preferred method. But it's up to you how you wanna go about it.
Ability to add and boot a hard drive from your PS2 without the need of buying the actual software. You're probably thinking a hard drive? Yes, a hard drive. By adding a hard drive, you can store games, music, pictures, PS2 programs, etc... Cheat codes and cheat programs can be stored on the memory card, but you'll only be able to use/boot it with an exploited memory card.
Like it says in my video. Create and configure the exploit, burn it onto a blank CD, and install it on your PS2 by using a PS2 capable of boot up backups. Whether by swap magic, modchip, topless boot, etc..
dude can you help me on how to mod my ps2 jap?exploit utilitity ver 5 got jap regions and i dont know hoe to put the file coz when i put it on savebuilder it got 2 files....1 BINDATA and 1 BADATA...pls help.
and when i use it to the usb max it has error issues and doesnt load the exploit but the psx game.i got scph 30000 ps2.
You can do it that way as well. My way is the least complicated, but if you use a MAX USB, you'll also need the ARMAX disc to transfer files from USB to memory card. And make sure you transfer it to the right directory or else the PS2 will not find iut's path. Then on top of that, you'll need a Japanese game to be used as a trigger disc (because JAP console will not read NTSC (USA/CAN) disc, and vice versa.
This is kinda stupid but how do i make the exploit save permenatly on the memory card...i can boot it up just fine using swap magic but how do i get it to boot using the ps1 disc?
That's not what I'm asking. A PS1 disc is being used to trigger the exploit that is supposed to be on the memory card. I figured out the answer to my question anyway.

Why won't this work with slim? If it has to do with the booting, it's relatively simple. You can just do a sensor mod. If it has to do with hardware, I don't know then. Can I get an explanation please?
Will not work with the Slim. Yes it's a hardware issue. Chipsets in a PS2 slim and original encode and decode data differently from one another. The codes written in these program are very old and only the old style PS2 are able to read it.
If you're talking to me, that was not my IP address. I never configured it and it is the PS2's default IP address. All USA PS2's has the same default IP address. However, thanks for the heads up though.
No, you're supposed to use Action Replay or Code Breaker and connect your PS2 to the internet, then download the MC Exploit via Network, into your Memory Card. Since I have a modded PSP, I don't use the network method. I only tried it once and it worked but I forgot how to use it. Your configuration must be exact and correct for it to work.
so i dont need action replay or codebreaker to exploit it just use the ps1 disc with the stuff on it?

Yes. That's what you're supposed to use as a trigger disc.
