  • This live version is epic...

  • i was there and came in my pants....... thats was a lie but i was very pleased

  • Without Numan, NIN = never...Love BOTH!!!

  • great....just great

  • i cant understand gary..

  • This kicks fucking ass!! AWESOME!

  • Interesting version, this song hurts to infinity.

Lol. Too much information ,machines on full alert.

  • The guy is an absolute legend- kinda miss the robotic gaz, but that's cause I'm old.

  • I was there and no idea this was here till now!!!

  • Gary fucking Numan ;^)

  • amazing!

  • Three letters....WOW

  • Gary has a synth voice ! Matches his style. Wicked set.:>

  • What an amazing performance, I don't see how anyone can dislike it.

  • @enjoyporn he has a very unique voice to be honest.

  • @enjoyporn he has a very unique voice to be honest.

  • I wonder wich is more rare... Gary Numan onstage with NIN or a working Polymoog

  • @jkoepis A working polymoog? What is this? :P

  • @matthehat Exactly

  • @matthehat Yeah, at 4:22 you can see gary leaning up on it. It's working just fine, you see.

  • @jkoepis I've two working polymoogs! One autographed by Gary Numan himself !

  • @machman05 Hmm you posted that 11 hours ago... do they still work?:D

  • @jkoepis lol

  • that's a pretty awesome shirt Gary's wearing

  • Wow it's amazing!!

  • One of the best nights of my life.

  • I really like this a lot it is GREAT!

  • @DurhamGooner your right mate Tim Ellers is brilliant love the collaboration we have a Technical/tracks that's wicked!

  • That's my old Polymoog! Model 280a serial # 1017. Registered on: dubsounds website.

  • Check out Tim Eilers versions of Numans songs on YouTube, they're fantastic.

  • I think the technical term is.... YEEEEHAAA!!!!!

  • AMAZING. GARY IS A LEGEND SINGING WITH NIN, ANOTHER ONE

  • i'm fuckin glad i was there!

  • 17 dislikes,so 17 people are complete assholes and should die

  • I keep coming back to this video...there's magic on that stage.

  • i met Gary Numan in London 2 years ago, i asked him if he would like a coffee, he said yes, we talked for two hours, he is a very nice man.

  • @davelloyd6882 hahahah yeah ok

  • @davelloyd6882 thats so cool, numan is a legend

  • @davelloyd6882 That's good to know. I have to interview him in a few days, though it will be over the phone.

  • @davelloyd6882 I love stories like that. I just love when extraordinary people are able to connect with fans and the general public. Too many great artists have a tendency to get an overly bloated ego that makes them unapproachable. Letting go of your human side is the first step to falling into obscurity as far as I'm concerned. Once you disconnect from society.. You're done.

  • @davelloyd6882 2 hours of his life on a total stranger that is very awesome!

  • This gives me chills every time I listen to it...

  • THIS...IS...FUCKING...BLISSS!!!!!

  • Who the fuck dislikes this !!!

    WANKERS !!!

  • An incredible, classic and priceless event! Give it up for Trent Rezor and NIN!!!!

  • /\/ ][ \/\

  • its a great honor to introduce nivek og-..... gary numan. Wtf really!

  • @TheNineinchsnails

what does that even mean, dude?

  • @NightmareFuelTV nivek ogre was a great influence on trent when he was starting out...that dark eery feel you get when listening to nin is directly from him. You should really look up skinny puppy they kick ass. Gary Numan was the tv friendly electronic musician...while nivek was the polar opposte

  • @TheNineinchsnails :-) I know very well who Nivek is. I have seen both skinny puppy and Ohgr live. And you're absolutely right he did influence trent a lot.... however that doesn't mean gary numan was not an influence. Numan Did have a very tv friendly hit in the song cars..... but have you ever listened to anything he prior or has done since? Check out both The Pleasure Principle and Jagged respectively. Regardless of whether or not you or I like him gary numan was cutting edge.

  • @NightmareFuelTV I have hear Gary Numans stuff but they are nothing like Fad Gadget, Cabaret Voltaire, Kraftwerk.

  • @TheNineinchsnails You are right about that; no direct comparison there. Neither is there any legit way to compare those musicians to artists like Emerson, Lake and Palmer or Throbbing Gristle - but the *influence* is still there. Numan was doing something different, and created elec. music that used hardware in ways never before utilized. There are those that would speak of NIN in the same way when comparing them to Ministry/Skinny Puppy, etc. I get your perception but have to disagree.

  • Feel that we'd get along IRL - at least to converse/argue. Check out the project I'm involved with. It's far from mainstream - don't expect ot make millions, just an experiment that may fail. Take Combichrist, mix a little KMFDM, NIN and just a hint of New Wave with Death Metal mixed in and ....there you go :-D (just fyi, the video is *intended* to look like it's over processed and a copy of a copy of a shitty copy - I spent weeks on it)

bit - dot - ly/r3OrnU or look @ my channel

  • absolutely brilliant !

  • I heard "friend" electric but i prefer this tune.

  • Has anyone mentioned that the ending is M.E.?

  • What a gig? Yeah, you bet, considering before NIN and Numan's cameo, the support was none other than Jane's Addiction (original line up with Eric back on bass). How fucking good was that pop pickers?

p.s. dont you just love the way the closing refrain of M.E. kicks in at 4:08?

  • @CONSIDERABLYMORE1 the refrain is my favorite part byfar.

  • So good to see Numan play before such a huge audience after all of these years,

  • My favorite Numan song! Have seen Numan and NIN in concert separately and was blown away each time, but the synergy of them together is incredible. Would love to have been there, but I really appreciate the video. Thanks!

  • Had seen both in concert separately and was blown away each time, but the synergy of them together is incredible. Would love to have been there, but appreciate the video. Thanks!

  • 17 people are "into" plastic!

  • @bleaufire lol

  • I've definitely done that before...used my distortion pedal and hooked up to our epiphone acoustic. Pretty interesting to be able to do that...

  • i love to see musicians get lost in their music, because that is what a true musician, not these dumb asses dancing around shaking their asses and not singing live..look at all these guys here? they are lost...in their heads...with the melody...

  • @unlikeanyotherhuman for sure....i agree....

  • 16 people aren't made of metal.

  • Anyone know what venue this was at?

  • @IllusionDan o2 centre in n.greenwich

  • Dunno if anyone else said this.. But Rob Sheridan does a great job of filming this. He's an awesome photographer! Also, this is one of the best things ever.

  • love gary

  • Proof that aspergers can be used for good as well as evil

  • one of the best gigs ive ever been to. 2nd row centre to stage, absolutely immense :D NIN COME BACK!

  • LOVE THE FUCK OUT OF IT.

  • God Rob will you FUCKING STAY STILL I'm gonna puke. It's the ONLY thing wrong with these on-stage videos.

  • 06:00 trent is about to melt....

  • @slowfuse i think you are the only useless faggot here!

  • @slowfuse I will destroy you.

  • @slowfuse OMG your a dumbass. You probably sit around all day listening to Bieber wondering why you have no taste in music. If Trent and Gary are such faggots why were there so many people there to watch the concert? Just go back to Google and type in the search bar" When is the next Bieber concert" and go listen to that shit. Keep your dumbassed comments off of a great video.

  • Class, merging that brilliant and stark synth sound from the late 70's/early 80's with NiN's usual power and performance. Gary sounds perfect to me.

  • @slowfuse It is his song, dipshit.

  • @slowfuse gary wrote the song, and is one of trents influences. dont hate

  • @slowfuse Wise up ya weirdo

  • @slowfuse Your comment < A pile of cat feces

  • @slowfuse It's Gary's song, limpfuse. Stay off this page. You clearly don't belong here.

  • @slowfuse I was like woah, harsh. Then I watched the video. What the fuck?

  • Wowwwwww,that was bad azzzz!!!!

NIN rocked the hell out of "Cars"....Numan should be proud!!!!!

  • @SaltyJK its a polymoog and a dave smith poly evolver

  • @SaltyJK Moog Polymoog. Essential for that authentic Vox Humana patch. I did hear that he's been using a recreation of the patch on the Virus TI though. Hardly surprising. The Polymoog sounds great but they're incredibly fragile and unreliable and thus not well suited to life on the road. Nice to see one on a stage for a change.

  • @Visionism Poly Moog of wonder

  • @Visionism and it travelled all the way from cumbria in a van with two others just for this show! as Numan was about to walk out on stage he was told 'make sure its on preset 1 (vox Humana)' !

  • I am fortunate enough to see NIN in concert as many times as I have and to see Gary Numan preform this song with Trent at one of his last concerts in LA.

  • epic

  • two of the greatest musicians ever playing together in the best city in the world what more could you want?

  • @murderdal blowjob and a sammich.

  • @murderdal best city in the world, lol

  • i went to this gig i have the ticket and it beats all other gigs will always be epic. loved gary numan and loved trent reznor :)

  • This is a dream concert I would see if I went to the afterlife of my choice.

  • I can learn to be a man like Yeaw, I'm still confused below the knee.

  • this is amazing!; its like a glimpse into an alternate parallel dimension where musical history diverged from our own;

but then again, you could mix NiN with basically any other music and get gold no matter what

  • Biggest crowd Numan's played to since 1980

  • What an awesome view... thanks for sharing this with your fans, Trent.

Now excuse me while I go change my underpants...

  • trent plays a screen lol. numan is superb

  • Man, i can't wait for the new NIN music they might even start touring again! I would LOOOOOOVE to see NIN live too bad i don't have any friends to go with.

  • @Dltn97 ummm no they aren't. and he hasn't released anything under NIN.

  • From now on, I'm going to stand up when using my computer at work, dancing like Reznor and hitting the keys in, oh, such a sweet and mezmorizing way.

  • I love the little bit from 2:39 - 3:40

  • @Marc7665 I prefer the bit from 0:00 to 6:36.

  • The man has still got it!!

    Woooooooo!!!

  • i think some day wer gonna see peter gabriel there to..

  • The people that draw out the haters are those that drive music forward.

  • Reznor's manboobs...what a waste of a man he used to be

  • @MrPageyzoso when 45 years old YOU reach, look as good you will not. hmm?

  • @neonom1024 proves my point, all NIN fans are illiterate..and can't spell or make common sense. Improve your english, then comment on crappy videos by has been musicians.

  • @MrPageyzoso he was talking like Yoda dumbass.

  • @MrPageyzoso Ha, so what if we are geeks? Hell ya I am a geek, and I'm fucking proud of it. It means I actually like to learn, and know about the world. That is what a geek is. I am a geek, and you sir, are a douche.

  • @NIN1024 baahhhaaa baahhhaaa sheep

  • @NIN1024 Amen to that...and don't forget...when our sh#t breaks, we can fix it.

  • @NIN1024 Hell Yea!

  • @NIN1024 The original meaning of 'geek' was an extremely unpleasant sideshow attraction.

    ...

  • @sta0005 But that isn't the meaning now. It's kinda like the original meaning of gay was happy and faggot was the butt of a cigarette, but society doesn't use them that way anymore.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrPageyzoso REFERENCE FAIL. i'm sorry if you can't recognize a quote from a classic movie.

  • @neonom1024 I only watch English "smart" movies, sorry that your selections are far from that.

  • @MrPageyzoso

    English 'smart movies.

What the fuck are those supposed to be? You sound like an English Douche

  • @buuski would take one to know one

  • @MrPageyzoso

No it doesn't. I know English douches, so there for I can identify other ones.

  • @buuski stop looking in the mirror then. go away sheep..go drink the kool aid

  • @MrPageyzoso

Nope, I'm not one. Some of them are at my school.

  • Brilliant, amazing, super!

  • I can understand that the Maori-looking guy trying to shag the acoustic guitar is fluff but, come on Gaz, why go near the keyboard if you're no gony play it properz ?

  • @BlueMeanieSulk actually, trent is doing the piano bits, the guy in the back is doing some sound effects, and gary is doing strings. I believe trent was doing strings at the start but they all changed voice.

  • Say I am wrong but, Numan is not actually playing the keyboard on this. The student at the rear with the white t-shirt is doing all his 'hard work' ? Wotaswiz

  • Saw Numan "live" on stage way back in his prime.....an icon. When you compare what he did at his young age to the formula imposed on the masses by Simon Cowell et al, it beggars the difficult question, what would you rather be, the happy sheep or the lonely wolf?

  • Whats not to like....

  • I want to clap my hands!

  • i really want trents setup the keyboard is sick with the touch screen when the camera guy gets a shot of it holy shit do i want that if anybody could help me out on what this set p is called please let me know o0o0o0 ya nin+Gary Numan=holy Mary mother of god that was goodness and a orgasm to the ears

  • @number1punisher

    The touch thing: Jazzmutant Lemur

The drum thing: MPD32 from Akai

The piano is an M-Audio, dunno which one tho. I know it's 88keys though.

    Enjoy

  • @muirguide correction the piano is A Roland 700gx your welcome

  • @666kevbo Thanks, I always wasn't too sure about that one

  • fucking amazing

  • oh and what the fuxx is that poser with the acoustic guitar thinks he's doing my God!

  • @ojib62 you're a fag. thats robin finck. he'd probably shove that guitar up your ass and make you shit it out.

  • @Deathreaper211 WTF are you ranting about, if I see you your fuckin dead, fuckin troll.

  • @ojib62 playing it ,listen closely!!

  • where's the thundering bass and drums, man this is the worst version of this classic I have ever heard. Too bad, what a missed op

  • what is that touch screen device called that Trent is using along with the keyboards?

that is awesome he is able to switch sound with just a touch of his hand.

  • NIN + Gary Numan are a match made in heaven.

  • This is musical porn ORGASMIC!

  • I loooove the growl that bass player is getting.

  • quit spamming you fuckwad

  • Metal! He almost never played that song live!

  • @happilyjaded he does now:)

  • Love Gary and Trent and I love that Trent acknowledges his inspiration. So many artists these days don't do that. One of my fave Numan songs.

  • I wish I could've been at that concert . . .

  • @WatchMyAwesomeVideos It was the O2....what a more perfect venue ? La Scalla? Albert Hall?

  • I hope at Gary;s age I could be half as cool.
