The biggest mistake people make in fighting Floyd, they tag him once, then move in and smother their own punches, that I don't understand. If you watch right after Mosley catches him, he grabs and holds the sides of Floyds arms. Why would you not take a step back, and let your hands go. Floyd was genuinely hurt, so he wasn't about to throw back, it would of been a perfect opportunity to land something again, but we know how it all turned out. With Floyd, if you get him hurt, keep it that way.

Any boxer knows when u can't handle the pressure u have to clinch up with ur opponent until ref separates the 2 and if you actually watch closely it's Mayweather who latches onto Moseley in order for 1) not to take the knockdown and be lose the round 8-10, 2) lose the mind game inside the ring that Moseley would gain, psychologically after the hit, and 3) to recover from the inside, instead of on taking a knee on the canvas. Any boxer knows when u can't handle the pressure u have to clinch up with ur opponent until ref separates the 2 and if you actually watch closely it's Mayweather who latches onto Moseley in order for 1) not to take the knockdown and be lose the round 8-10, 2) lose the mind game inside the ring that Moseley would gain, psychologically after the hit, and 3) to recover from the inside, instead of on taking a knee on the canvas. Textbook stuff.
