Strong dancer...just really needs to work on her arms and wrists. She's cutting off the lines her arms should be making. Also, to much flicking. It slightly annoyed me. The choreography was quite lacking also. Lot's of potential as a dancer though!

@GlenHelenGHOfeeder uhmm... the dancer doesn't usually choreograph. The teacher does. It's not her fault if her teacher wanted her to do this. She can obviously bring her leg up high, and that's something she was good at so her teacher wanted to show how well she could do that.

@numberonebeckannefan First off, no offense, but your username is a little stalkerish... anyway, i did watch her classical, and it was pretty good, I never said she was bad, and i was saying i prefer a low, controlled arabesque, to a crazy, high one. And I wouldnt say she has flawless technique. Svetlana Zakharova, Polina Semionova, Uliana Lopakina, these dancers have flawless technique.

This girl has amazing feet/legs that will do great things for her, but the fact that her pointe shoes hit the floor so loudly after her grand jetes is a little disconcerting. Obviously pointe shoes are bound to make some noise, but that much noise is due to a lack of control - she's sacrificing her strength to get more impressive extensions. I'd love to see her do something slow and controlled.

There is absolutely no connection between the music and the choreography, her arms are overdone, and her arebesque is awkwardly high. Don't misunderstand, I would love her strengths, but not if it ment that I would inherit her lack of artistic quality as well.
This isn't pleasing to my eye. It looks like her body is more like mold moving of it's own accord. I don't know how to describe it, but I found myself frowning a lot.

I think there are too many tricks in this one. also, the choreography isn't the best. try searching "alina cojocaru at 15". no offence, but I think she truly makes a masterpiece of a contemporary variation-not to many tricks, but stunning all the same

I agree with you. She's got great legs and feet, great extensions and turns, just there was nothing there. She is going places, but this was just show casing her high extensions. I feel every other step was an extension. Still, she's talented.
its funny, the choreographer, Servy Gallardo, has choreographed for famous companies like NYC ballet, Houston ballet, he was the director for a school in NC, ect.... yet his choreography is very repetitive and what i call "tricky". but considering this is the worlds largest dance COMPETITION, it's good that he gives the dancer a chance to show their stuff ya know?
so its not her dancing, its more the choreography, in which she cant be blamed for.
I would just like to state that Servy has NEVER choreographed for NYCB, Houston... He was also never the director of a school in NC,which I think you are thinking of NCDT -> which is where he danced and was an instructor. He was also a dancer in Venezuela and Cleveland but his introduction to choreographing was at the Rock School 2 years ago. I suggest you make sure your facts are correct before posting such a bold statement.
2nd. Rock dancers are granted; "known for tricks".
but let me tell you, just look at some of the others that dance with such grace and soul like MASA, and Taylor, and Yurika? they could easily be in contemp. companies as well as ballet companies. which makes them what?

i believe that none of you have EVER seen her live rather than on a low resolution internet video. There is expression, soul, technique, AND tricks in one big beautiful package. i know this why? cause i saw it live 2X. also why she got into the final round of this competition.

the music and choreography could be better but she has a lovely technique and body for dancing. I kind of felt she was holding back a little when it came to actual dancing... it just seemed more like a flexibility& piroutte show than a variation. But I like her a lot.

yes her fingers are a little gymnast-like.
but i like her style and i didn't think the choreography was that bad. Her 6 pirouettes and flexibility is truly amazing!

I felt like that was just a show off.. No expression, boring choreography, bad arms.. But her tricks were good, just bad that that was it...

I agree with you. She's got great legs and feet, great extensions and turns, just there was nothing there. She is going places, but this was just show casing her high extensions. I feel every other step was an extension. Still, she's talented.

I agree completely.
its funny, the choreographer, Servy Gallardo, has choreographed for famous companies like NYC ballet, Houston ballet, he was the director for a school in NC, ect.... yet his choreography is very repetitive and what i call "tricky". but considering this is the worlds largest dance COMPETITION, it's good that he gives the dancer a chance to show their stuff ya know?
so its not her dancing, its more the choreography, in which she cant be blamed for.

I would just like to state that Servy has NEVER choreographed for NYCB, Houston... He was also never the director of a school in NC,which I think you are thinking of NCDT -> which is where he danced and was an instructor. He was also a dancer in Venezuela and Cleveland but his introduction to choreographing was at the Rock School 2 years ago. I suggest you make sure your facts are correct before posting such a bold statement.

Rock Dancers have amazing extensions feet etc.

but let me tell you, just look at some of the others that dance with such grace and soul like MASA, and Taylor, and Yurika? they could easily be in contemp. companies as well as ballet companies. which makes them what?

i believe that none of you have EVER seen her live rather than on a low resolution internet video. There is expression, soul, technique, AND tricks in one big beautiful package. i know this why? cause i saw it live 2X. also why she got into the final round of this competition.

I don't like tricks. Yes, I want to be impressed, but within reason. I think an arabesque slightly above 90 can be prettier than a freak high one.
