@mattradders The ssc was jet-powered. I think this (at the time anyway), was the land speed record for a conventionally powered car. As in the power is sent through to the wheels

Try "A&AA BGS Streamliner" record. A and AA engine sizes, turbocharged, running on gasoline. This is the second fastest gas powered, wheel driven car on record - and very likely to be the first soon.
