The Tu-154 is extremely loud, but that's about its only negative side. It's rugged and durable, has proven itself while landing and starting in arctic weather conditions and has crash statistics that aren't inferior to the Boeings and Airbus of the same epoch, especially when considering the harsh conditions this plane has to work in (unpaved, often uneven runways, sometimes even airstrips of grass...)

I like how most of the time Russian pilots have very soft landings: "altitude: 5, 3, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1. Reverse thrust". And you do notice this as a passenger.

I flew Olympic and Emirates a number of times and the landing were never as soft.
