if i might say so bad ass sir bad f-ing ass you warm my heart with but a piece designed to wiggle the practice piggies of pasty princess. as they say here in the south "who is Scarlatti and what the hell is an accordion" do work son do work.
Wow! I've never heard Scarlatti done on the accordion-- it sounds remarkably just, befitting of the idiom completely, especially when played so well as by you! :)
Perfect play its fantastic, but have a question,I play this Sonata since a week and these accords in freebass in the beginning are very difficult to play cause of the changes from the 4 notes, can you help please?
Hi. Yeah the left-hand requires alot of finger-yoga to get around the chords. Use your thumb on the outside row if possible, gives you a 'spare' finger then. Just keep practicing jumping from 1 chord to the next, forwards and backwards. This is quint system freebass, should be easier on chromatic system if you have one.
Saphir plays this, and well; Argerich is the definitive version and it's supersonic. Look at the famous who do NOT play this, at least in public. If you have holes in your technique it will be exposed here.
omg!!!...orz...I played the accordien 10 years ago and now I play the piano. This is not an easy job even on piano. You catch the right feel! You made the score for accordien by yourself?
This is marvelous. Does the accordion have a history or tradition in classical music? I know that Vivaldi and Beethoven wrote for Mandolin (Mandolino) which were considered 'popular' music instruments at the time
Hi, no, the accordion has no 'classical' music written for it. Its only been possible to play this sort of stuff in the last 50-60 years or so with the freebass system which I am using here. But now music is being composed for it, especially in Russia and France. The accordion in this form (bellows/keyboard and buttons) was only invented 100-150 years ago I think.
just found this vid , fantastic. You should upload more.

You sound better than 100& of pianists trying to play this piece of Scarlatti.
It is amazing what a success Scarlatti is played on the accordian.
there is something very compatable about this combination indeed.
Scarlatti played on the piano sounds gross.

i'm sorry to say that, but i hate matha hargerich's interpretation... ( i have listened to several takes from different times)
it's fast but way too much off rythm and muddled for me.
i simply don't know what people find in it

Try the 2009 version of Martha Argerich. not the young one :) I really love that one.

man, your technique and speed are properly impressive....
your interpretation s even better than those of many pro. piano/harpsichord players

Bravo, you should record all the Scarlatti sonatas and sell the cd.
