  • The presenter speaks clearly and the still shots are very helpful because you can pause and study them. However, be sure to listen to the whole video before trying this stitch because the speaker corrects herself in later frames. I had to play it over and over and review the stills to make sure I understood the corrections.

  • I would like to know what size Satin Cord did you use?

    Thank You

  • @ld890321 Gosh, it was so long ago, I don't remember.

  • I love your tutorial. I would like to know where I can find the Satin Cord?

    Thank You

  • @ld890321 The cord in this video was purchased at Firemountaingems

  • @feroluce A badass? Oh dear... ;)

  • @AnnieOmaha That's always so nice to hear. Thanks!

  • I just found your video after trying to figure out how to do this stitch through written directions. Thank you! You're video has helped me a great deal. I'm just curious to know once you are finished how do you end the stitch?

  • @caughtnthestars Glad I could help.

How I end depends on what I'm making. You can end by decreasing the stitch to a point, or you can end with pretty end caps (a common metal finding). You can probably make it an unending loop by connecting the two ends, too. The easiest way is probably to use end caps.

  • hi, can this be do using triangle beads?

  • Yep! I made a cuff using Toho 11/0 triangles. Great texture.

  • what would you make with a tubular herringbone? need examples please ;)

  • I forgot to ask, what length of thread do you use to start?

  • mmmm, I'm thinking...

for this I'd start with 2 yards. You can use more, or less. If you use more, tangling might be a problem, and less means you'll have to tie more knots.

  • Very clear & easy to follow! Is it necessary to bead tubular herringbone around a cord? Or just easier? Do you ever just make a cord of just beads? Thanks!

  • Thanks!

It really is easier to start off with something to give your work support. After you've beaded about an inch or so, removing the support and continuing to bead should be okay.

  • Thanks for the video! I'm just starting to explore YouTube subscriptions for beading videos -- and yours are very nice.

  • Thanks!

There are tons of great beading videos on YouTube.
