Thanks for an awesome video. When working with my alma mater's pro-life group, we got lots of negative comments and hatred towards us from our campus and the general public. What we determined is that the people who say the most negative things are the people who are hurting the most. If a fetus is a human then 1.6 million abortions a year is genocide. Therefore it is not inappropriate to compare it to genocide, other war crimes, and slavery. I am quiet aware that many parents are terrible parents and probably shouldn't have gotten pregnant in the first place. For part of my project I interviewed teenage parents and I have become very good friends with many of them. One girl in particular has been following the discussions on my videos. She read the comment you posted and sent me an email saying it offended her. So, I removed it.
If you spent spent time studying teen parenting, then you of course know the statistics already.That leaves an even bigger wuestion mark as to why you would still defend such 'bound to fail projects'.
Also, she graduated high school just last month, and she will be attending a local college next year to study child development. Her plan is to open a daycare center once she graduates. He son is the most beautiful child that I have ever seen and he is developmentally ahead of most of the other children at the daycare center he attends. Since statistics don't apply to everyone we should at least give these teen parents a chance to prove their parenting abilities before we judge them.

I got pregnant almost a year a go at the age of 15, and I would never have killed my child. Sadly I miscarried, and never got the chance to meet my little angel, and I believe that other children that are given the chance deserve to live.

I'm 7 months pregnant right now. I don't believe there are any accidental pregnancies. Although it's unconfortable at times, I know children are a gift from God, and God has blessed me. God already knows my son. He knew the moment he was concieved and God has covered this baby in my womb. (Psalm 139: 13-16) I love this little guy and will do everything I can to be a good parent. He will be raised to know about God.
If you don't think there are any accidental pregnancies then the reason of abortion to keep the baby from "ruining" the mother's life is a not a valid argument.
I don't bash people for speaking out against abortion for themselves, personally. I DO think that those same people should walk in the shoes of the women actually carrying the fetuses. You have no idea what they're going through. No idea.
I can't belive that Tsukichan123 said that she would get an abortion instead of bringing a child into a dangerous home. No one said you had to keep the child if you feel like it would be brought into a dangerous home. There are over 2 million couples waiting to adopt. That's not including the single women who would love to have a child. Your baby would have a loving home.
There are over 500,000 children already in the adoption system, why wouldn't those 2 million couple you wrote about adopt them? I'll tell you why they wouldn't, because they want too much. They're too picky, in my opinion. I once knew a lady who was black who told me that she wanted to adopt, but that she didn't want a 'monkey baby' (a child whose skin was really dark). I often imagine how lonely she must be, with all of the kids in the adoption system now.
Not only that, the adoption system is harsh to those who don't even care about race, age, or intellegence. It can take years for a couple to actually be given a child. My father worked for CPS for about 30 years, his stories really opened my eyes.
Aero: Your father opened your eyes to the point where now you believe its better to kill the children than let them live in the system? That's extremely callus and cruel. Why don't you adopt some yourself instead of fighting for the right to kill them. But please don't pass on your values to them.
So somehow me saying it is hard to adopt, you think I kill babies?? That is a pretty ridiculous assumption. Especially considering I have said so many times that I would never abort. Wow, you must be really young, because your attention span only allows you to listen to certain things and interpret them as you wish. Also, because of my father, I have always wanted to adopt. You don't get it. I don't support abortion, but I know it's not my place to damn other people for their beliefs. I also spent years of my life as a vegetarian, but I never once discouraged people from eating meat, even though it was "morally wrong" in my eyes. It is not your life to live, so don't try to tell others what is wrong when you aren't going to live out that decision for them.

Thanks for an awesome video. When working with my alma mater's pro-life group, we got lots of negative comments and hatred towards us from our campus and the general public. What we determined is that the people who say the most negative things are the people who are hurting the most. Maybe the people who have posted all these negative comments are still reeling from the guilt and pain of their abortions, or from abortions people close to them had. Thanks for a great video!

Non-persons or potential persons cannot be harmed in this way because death does not deprive them of anything they can value. With my logic, I am not opposed to aborting within the first two trimesters; this logic is in accordance with current US policy.

All of those terrible things take away the rights of a human; abortion takes away the ultimate right of the fetus to be alive. But a genocide comparison would mean nothing to someone who sees the fetus as a blob of cells and not a human deserving of life.

But the difference is small and inconsequential to the point I was making with my comment. Cowlauncher was drawing a comparison to the loss of rights of humans during the holocaust and the genocides that you spoke of. If we consider the fetus a human ,then abortion takes away the right of the fetus to be alive. Therefore cowlauncher did not make an inappropriate comparison.
And, to be honest, mass homicide and genocide are equally horrifying in terms of my morality.

I am quiet aware that many parents are terrible parents and probably shouldn't have gotten pregnant in the first place. What I found offensive was that you placed that quote directly behind a comment about my screen name, singling out all teenagers as being unfit parents. That is insulting because I know teen parents who are better suited to take care of their children then some adults.

Have you ever bothered to make yourself familiar with the statistics about teen parenting? Teen parents are unlikely to finish highschool.Their children are more likely to become teen parents themselves than other children are,and their children are also more likely to end up in jail.Furthermore they tend to have a lower IQ and poorer general health than other children.

Thanks, but I spent the entire second semester of my junior year doing an independent study project on teenage parenting, so I know the statistics. For part of my project I interviewed teenage parents and I have become very good friends with many of them. One girl in particular has been following the discussions on my videos. She read the comment you posted and sent me an email saying it offended her. So, I removed it.

Also, she graduated high school just last month, and she will be attending a local college next year to study child development. Her plan is to open a daycare center once she graduates. He son is the most beautiful child that I have ever seen and he is developmentally ahead of most of the other children at the daycare center he attends. Since statistics don't apply to everyone we should at least give these teen parents a chance to prove their parenting abilities before we judge them.

Copying and saving every message that you ever post on this site is probably a good idea. I learned that after I had an experience like yours. One of my 3 page messages disappeared after I sent it, so I retyped it and sent it again, only to have it magically reappear the next week. From then on I saved every message and comment in a word document so I could resend them if necessary.

My sister was in the same situation & had an abortion too.The reason I am so passionatly pro-life is b/c the abortion clinics make abortion out to be the best option when in acuality it causes a lot of physical & emotional pain for the woman to deal with afterwards.I have seen people go through it.Abortion is something that is debated over yet people don't want to hear the facts or see the pictures of what it is. It's because it is a horrific way to murder a baby.

As such, if you are talking about a critical period in regards to language development, there are several "critical periods" in which a child learns to recognize phonemes and the like. A critical period for a fetus, does not refer to language development, it refers to something completely different. Get it? Don't come out to play anymore.

I've have three best friends who were all adopted and they are all happy. To stop their life would be like saying you have foresight, and i'm sure you'd need to have some sort of brains to accomplish this phenomenon so your out of luck. I got pregnant almost a year a go at the age of 15, and I would never have killed my child. Sadly I miscarried, and never got the chance to meet my little angel, and I believe that other children that are given the chance deserve to live.

I'm 7 months pregnant right now. I don't believe there are any accidental pregnancies. Although it's unconfortable at times, I know children are a gift from God, and God has blessed me. God already knows my son. He knew the moment he was concieved and God has covered this baby in my womb. (Psalm 139: 13-16) I love this little guy and will do everything I can to be a good parent. He will be raised to know about God.

There are over 500,000 children already in the adoption system, why wouldn't those 2 million couple you wrote about adopt them? I'll tell you why they wouldn't, because they want too much. They're too picky, in my opinion. I once knew a lady who was black who told me that she wanted to adopt, but that she didn't want a 'monkey baby' (a child whose skin was really dark). I often imagine how lonely she must be, with all of the kids in the adoption system now.

Not only that, the adoption system is harsh to those who don't even care about race, age, or intellegence. It can take years for a couple to actually be given a child. My father worked for CPS for about 30 years, his stories really opened my eyes.

I also spent years of my life as a vegetarian, but I never once discouraged people from eating meat, even though it was "morally wrong" in my eyes.
