Gas Blowback has little to do with Co2 cartidges. Co2 might be a gas, but to keep things simple they are refered to as two catogories: Gas (Propane, greengas mixtures, etc) and Co2 either canisters or refill.

i don't understand this video, i've never seen/heard of this gun, but the video's from 2007. is this completely custom built? because as far as i know, i've only seen gbb for shell ejecting pistols and shotguns, and recently with bolt action rifles. but your sr25 and ak74 shell ejecting gbbs... which make is it? or is it so old it's before my time..?
Well, since the video quality isn't that good it's hard to tell really. But to me it looks like the 1950 AKM. (Avtomat Kalashnikova Modernizirova, which is the modernized version of the original AK-47) But since the owner of the gun named the video "AK-74 I'm guessing that he knows best which type of AK it really is. ^^
It seem to me that this guy never shown up his details his shell ejecting GBBRs, the only reason may be these gun desgin is similar to Japanese old days shell eject GBB with external air-hose and air tank! That's why we never see the butt stock ends for all his clips.

@SeawolfIV Actually they kinda are gas blowback since the direct impringement and piston driven ones get their power from gas siphoned off from the barrel, behind the fired bullet, for Armalites it's at the front of the front sight, and AK's behind the front sight. Armalites have a small gas tube running from the sight to the chamber and the gas pressure pushes the bolt back back, while in AK's the gas pressure hits a piston which pushes the bolt back.
@TheDane95 actually no there you are wrong because with Gas Blowback systems (at least the ones i have experience with) the blowback comes from gas redirected to specifically cycle the weapon, not gas syphoned from the barrel of the weapon

Just to clear it up guys, this is an AK-74. This is NOT an AK-47 or an AK-74u. This specific model is longer than the AK-47. An easy way to tell the difference between the 47 & 74 is the stock for one (either fixed or folding), the magazine (color, size, and feel of each are different) and the muzzle break (they just both look different). Please feel to correct me if I'm wrong.
they are airsoft shells, you back the bbs into the front like you would a real bullet but the air passes through the shell and pushes the bb, and then the blowback ejects the shell, its just a really nice airsoft gun:D

Retards, just look at the receiver. It is a Type 4 AK receiver, that already tells that it's not an AK-47. It means that it's an AKM or AK-74 or some later variant. And the mag is a 5.45x39 74 type magazine. The handguard is from 74/AKM. It has a 74 flash hider and a 90 degree gas block. All this said I think that we can safely assume that it's an AK-74.

@FunnyGage Mate i disagree. The AK-47 doesn't have a muzzle brake. This one does. The magazine is more curved than the one in the video. The pattern on the upper receiver is of the AK-74 and not the AKM / AK-47. And if you go check the specs out you will find that the AK-74 has the same barrel length as the AK-47 / AKM. Both have a barrel length of 415mm. And I got this from a russian gun spec website.

@serverguyxx You, sir, are truly stupid. If you understood anything about firearms, then you would realize that firearms do not use "gas blowback", and that they actually use direct impengement (ArmaLites) or are piston driven (Kalashnikovs). `Nuff said.

@SeawolfIV Actually they kinda are gas blowback since the direct impringement and piston driven ones get their power from gas siphoned off from the barrel, behind the fired bullet, for Armalites it's at the front of the front sight, and AK's behind the front sight. Armalites have a small gas tube running from the sight to the chamber and the gas pressure pushes the bolt back back, while in AK's the gas pressure hits a piston which pushes the bolt back.

Just to clear it up guys, this is an AK-74. This is NOT an AK-47 or an AK-74u. This specific model is longer than the AK-47. An easy way to tell the difference between the 47 & 74 is the stock for one (either fixed or folding), the magazine (color, size, and feel of each are different) and the muzzle break (they just both look different). Please feel to correct me if I'm wrong.

Retards, just look at the receiver. It is a Type 4 AK receiver, that already tells that it's not an AK-47. It means that it's an AKM or AK-74 or some later variant. And the mag is a 5.45x39 74 type magazine. The handguard is from 74/AKM. It has a 74 flash hider and a 90 degree gas block. All this said I think that we can safely assume that it's an AK-74.

@FunnyGage Mate i disagree. The AK-47 doesn't have a muzzle brake. This one does. The magazine is more curved than the one in the video. The pattern on the upper receiver is of the AK-74 and not the AKM / AK-47. And if you go check the specs out you will find that the AK-74 has the same barrel length as the AK-47 / AKM. Both have a barrel length of 415mm. And I got this from a russian gun spec website.

People who play paintball aren't thinking about realism all the time unlike most airsofters. They play it as a GAME, treating it as such. I see people saying "Oh, well paintball looks sooo unrealistic" cool story bro, we don't really care. Most people don't play paintball to have it resemble a real fire fight, though it is louder (think of everyone having a gbb) and more painful. I find it more exciting than airsoft with it's puny aeg whines and pinch-like pain. Both=ok but for me, pb > airsoft
