Ants are facinating, and SL is so underutilized as an informative/educational tool. Yeah, I know there are some virtual campuses and whatnot, but there really should be more spaces and communities dedicated to stuff like this.

I like the concept,but Second Life is not a very perspective.I mean,its got good sides like possible money or popularity in online multiplayer world.Also,yes,SL got not bad script system and easy modeling tools,but its future is not very promising,SL is not serious enough platform for scientific project,it got bounding borders for free mind.Also 3D is not a best choice,you should learn some programming language,it worth it.I hope you understood me in that way i tryed to say it.

Cool, I like to make ant simulations too but never thought of SL allthough I did a bit of programming in it. I never used a recruitment ant though. Is this how it works with real ants? I just let the ant return too its nest. It could explain the funny running ant which I tested on some real ants though :)
