Also, check out some tests of the 2 products you've mentioned and you'll see that IE9 for instance beats safari badly ( in facts, every single Browser out there beats it, recording to tom's hardware if that name rings a bell).

iTunes, is a very unwieldy product, but its okey, though there are mutch better 3rd party options if you are using windows.

Microsoft actually used the older, PowerPC Macs while developing software for the Xbox 360, as they both have the same (or similar) processor architechture, its more efficient than cross-compiling on a PC.
