I love the hard hit of the drums in this live version, very distorted harder feel. I think it might just be the recording device, but i wish the studio version had that feel.
perhaps we have a "4 minute warning" until the dollar crash, hyperinflation, global katrina climate catastrophe, disease outbreak, oil shortage, nuclear attack and/or famine.
No, the 4 Minute Warning was supposed to be how long it would take a Soviet nuke to reach England (although in reality the government would have detected it closer to the two or three minute mark). The government prepared a broadcast warning people to seek cover called the "4 minute warning."
This is sheer musical brilliance from one of the world's greatest bands. The song is haunting, yet beautiful at the same time. It reminds me a little of 'You and Whose Army', 'It Follows Me Around', 'Fake Plastic Trees' - all brilliant tracks. This is my favourite songs on the Bonus CD.
i dunno if this is just the sound quality or something, but theres this odd, growly thumping sound going on. whether its intentional or not, i really like it.
I hate to admit, but I've already got the bonus album, it's all over the internet....damn good song, gives me chills. Not that all his songs do, but rarely on the first listen.
It looks like two things: 1) Radiohead are never going to make a bad album and 2) we are going to have some shell out some hard cash for the Discbox, just to hear this gem. I gotta find some work. Get some physical moola. And start on my first journey of digital downloading.
Ha no one's mentioned that at 1:01 Thom stops playing I guess he gets lost or forgets the words,"oh shit.....it's alright...." and if someone wants to say that it's part of the song and they are too good to make mistakes please spare me they're just human beings
lol yeah, my heart sank to the bottom of my feet for a second when i saw 4-minute warning, but then i came to my senses and realised radiohead would rather eat their own heads than cover anything by the buck toothed gimp known as mark owen

it's called 4 minute warning because, it used to take 4 minutes for hitler's V2 rockets to reach london in the 2nd world war.

Much better the Live version... the Discbox version is too "soft" I think, not bad however.

Believe it'll be on disc 2 coming out at the end of the year - I don't think you'll have to get the discbox, but good for you if you do.
