They develop real time models of the human body, outer-space, complex math calculations etc. and btw, crysis cannot utilize more than 4 cores

I love the fact that Cray is still around. It is kind of sad though that pretty much everything is now either Intel or AMD. No more MIPS, Alpha, or custom Vector CPUs. Kind of a monolithic world. I guess there is PPC on the high end IBM boxes and GPUs / FPGAs. Thanks for the video!

the boards would be custom designed. the real magic is not in the cpu but in the data transfer between processing nodes. realize that that system will work a problem with an extremely large dataset, that will be distributed across the nodes. Then they will collect that data and integrate it somehow(algorithm dependent). all with MPI or map reduce function calls.
