  • Air Cadets was good fun for me in the 70s I recommend it to any teenager, get your gliding and light aircraft pilots license for free, travel,go on RAF experience flights, camping.hiking, learn leadership skills ,and the adult leaders were good positive .male role models.

  • I would love that job

  • Won wing drill comp, 7 times in a row... Just like to say. Cumbria & Lancashire. 206 sqn.

  • all i know is the group is lucky to have the RAF regiment SGT... most raf regiment gus dont even bother to see cadets :/

  • not sure how effective calling a child a "disease" is and what function it has in disciplin. I know its meant light heartedly but labels like that stick i dont think he should be saying it to someone so young.

  • @MrJBSTNE I see what you mean, but he did mention that the following 10 minutes was all banter. we all spoke to the cadets after and they all enjoyed their 'session' with the Sgt.

  • @gazzaroth321 dare they say otherwise? lol. I see, Then thats fair enough .generally, i just think words shape young people more than anything else and from experience they can do a lot of damage.

  • @MrJBSTNE it's do gooders like you that worry me. These ATC cadets will eventually join the RAF and trust me they will get it a lot harder than that. All service personnel must be given a roasting to try and break them down, it's what sorts out the men from the boys and there's no laughing in the real game

  • When I was in the ATC, I would often get the giggles during drill.

  • @dazaboy2k9 you dont the meaning of a beasting lad, so simmer down

  • @Jeano32 i dont no the meaning ofbeasting do i not kid thats what u think

  • @dazaboy2k9 i dont know m8 all depends on what your definition of a beasting is, im currently serving on an RAF regiment field squadron and have been for the past 6 years so ive seen and had my fair share of them, and now im of the NCOs dishing them out, doesnt really mean that i like beasting lads but sometimes its gotta be done

  • @Jeano32 well am not arguing the sgt is telling that lad off for summit and there all laffing so they wood get shouted at and drilled for it

  • @Jeano32 Daz, my Uncle told me that there are also a couple of new weapons introduced to Gunners, a shot gun and a new Light Support weapon replacing either the LSW and/or Minimi. He also said that out of al the armed services, the Reg were left untouched in the SDR due to the high use of the RAF Reg and that a new field sqn was also formed. i wish I had joined the RAF Reg and not wasted 19 years re sprying Tornados and Nimrods! Such is life, eh! Cheers. Garry.

  • it is actully about teaching leadership

  • @Incorected I'm a Corporal, What about you? Yeah I've just noticed that, not happy about that .. A 'game of dress up' that could change your chances of getting to the armed forces. Hardly a game of dress up tbqh

  • @elvin123ish Sgt mate.. but tbh there's probably another side to this i mean we haven't seen the lead up to it but that annotation has annoyed me.... anyway nice to see a fellow cadet as passionate as i am..

  • @Incorected ah ok. Yeah tbh I agree, but they still look atrocious. and yeah agreed ..

  • @elvin123ish agreed.

  • There's an ATC up the road from me, but I'm near old enough to join the real thing anyway.

  • I know all them cadets lol Their so young there!

  • @1945MrHitler Wtf you on about?

  • @DeckchairsFTW Drill them for hours, hard man

  • @1945MrHitler How else are they going to get their drill to an acceptable level?

  • The lack of proper drill in that nearly gave me a Heart attack! Not braced up or anything...

If my (army) cadets did that i'd have them doing drill for hours!

  • @DeckchairsFTW Calm down, its only the cadets! And making them do drill for 'hours' is against most of the rules that all cadet forces follow and then you should be kicked out of the ACF, if you want to beast anyone, join the Army, serve at least 9 years, become a CPL, and then you can have a reason to 'beast', rather than been given a uniform and think youre the real thing!

  • @gazzaroth321 I did mean it half jokingly!

And i'm joining as an officer, Corporals are far too common :P

  • @DeckchairsFTW ah ha, ok then, well the statement still applies for most others who take it way too seriously.

Well, best of luck during your Officer Training, best of luck, might find you in Afghan if we ever get the pleasure!

  • @gazzaroth321 What regiment are you in?

  • @DeckchairsFTW Non at the moment, Im applying for the RMC, got my selection very soon, and if all else fails, Coldstream Guards! But my next year, I WILL be in Training!

  • @gazzaroth321 Ah, Coldstream Guards are one i'm thinking about. Right now i think it'll be PWRR for me.

  • @DeckchairsFTW Ah, the Tigers. Best of luck to you!!!! Keep your head up, and the Bend the Knee position will keep you in good stead ;)

  • @gazzaroth321 Good luck on selection, just dont drop your soap in front of anyone with a funny voice ;)!

  • @gazzaroth321 mate, no offence but if the Coldstream Guards are a last resort for you i dont know if the regiment will actually want you. Just a word of advice.

  • @policeandtheves Well, im not wanting to spend my time applying for the Armed Forces if im not going to be accepted. If not, ill will apply for the Reserves and go from there.

  • Hmmm... Those cadets must be having fun and this RAF Sgt is making the idea of joining the armed forces a nice career choice by showing its not always about playing serious soldiers :)

Thats a nice comment, Im not biased, the entire cadet movement is awesome, Im an Ex Air Cadet Instructor Flight Sergeant... now a PCI with my local SCC unit, moments like this video make me want to join.. (and i am!RMC!) being shouted at for 'serious' is never fun.... this moment was though, and they enjoyed it

  • @gazzaroth321 YOU NEED TO GET OUT MORE

  • @1945MrHitler Sorry? Where did that come from? Please be more constructive with your feedback. I think you have your keyboard stuck on Caps Lock by the way.

  • @gazzaroth321 SCC? Is that the sea cadets?

  • @RyedaleAirsoft it is indeed!

  • @joshallcross unlikely...

  • @MrPorktoast i take it your a knob cadet. Air cadets rule

  • lol idk why theres a "conflict" between air cadets and sea cadets? surely they should both gang up on the army cadets? ;D (this is cuz am a marine cdt and an air cadet =D )

  • @atcscc

Ha, my air cadet squadron is opposite an army one, and they constantly behave liek a bunch of rabid monkeys...

  • @lukey123MW my SQN is the same

  • its not really shouting it seemed like he was having a laugh

  • @Richtigify lol some of them at my detachment would...

  • if you think that's shouting, you should hear me taking drill. then you'll be scared.

And just to "clarify" it's not a game of dress up

  • @08mccal could you sound like any more of a knob?....

  • the raf reg is fucking rediculas

  • @25225387burto as is your spelling...

  • im in the cadets and only started 4 weeks ago, ive heard louder.

  • Just curious do air cadets learn to fly, or is that just University air squadrons? Do i have to be in air cadets to join a UAS? Cheers.

  • @BDFPA Cadets can learn to fly and go solo and acheive Gliding Scholorships and if enough goes into it, i mean alot, you could potentially walk away with a PPL, but UAS concentrate more on the Grob Tutor aircraft, the air cadets look at gliders...... if thats any help for you

  • @gazzaroth321 so it's probably better if i just pay for a ppl myself. Thanks for the info.

  • @BDFPA Im in the air cadets and ive been up in grob tutors (training plane), vikings (glider) and vigilants (glider with aa engine) without having to any courses etc. but you can train to get badges and stuff to get even better at flying

  • @MrK3AN3Y ok, i'll go with paying for a ppl, because i am not interested in learning all of the boring shit that comes with air cadets and UAS.

  • @richtigify agreed

  • @Richtigify have fun???

  • :(

YOU GUYS DONT HAVE TO WEAR A WEDGE!

  • That's not even yelling, Canadian Cadets are way more strict I guess when we get yelled at it's basically till we cry :/ You'd never ever laugh, and they aren't even at attention...........

  • @Inspire2Lead We were more strict; unfortunately the program has gone through a number of changes at all levels. I've lost many a Cadet due to these changes.

  • @Inspire2Lead Meh, Air Cadets is all I'm going to say.

  • @Inspire2Lead

I can never understand why people get scared when being yelled at, unless threatened by physical violence.

  • @TheNotoriousJesus Well, I'll get a WO1 to yell at you about your boots not being as polished as they should be, or your uniform having train tracks, or other small things. Believe me, it's friggin scary

  • @Inspire2Lead

I was in Air Cadets, yelling at me was never a threat. Then again my shoes were polished, my Barrett moulded correctly to my head and trousers ironed perfectly.

  • @Inspire2Lead clearly they are having a laugh.....

  • what's with his accent???

  • @MrMimojr Northern I think

  • @gazzaroth321 i didn't know british pronounced the ''r'' in the spanish (and another countries ), like, rrrrrrrrr :P

    ( u probably didn't understand what i said)

  • @MrMimojr nah I did, varies from person to person. I'd rather say it properly than drag out the 'R' for a stupid amount of time (no offense to the easily offended)

  • @gazzaroth321 lol ok I don't drag the 'R' for a stupid amount of time ( i'm not spanish )

  • 1. That is not shouting. 2. They are English air cadets. 3. Scottish cadets would never laugh when on parade. No matter how funny. Rant over.

  • @Boaber1 Same with NI Cadets!

  • what wing/sqn was that? xD

  • i know tha sergeant, hes funny as fuck fp

  • SHUT UP AND STOP FUCKING LAUGHING! There.

  • You call that shouting? FFS you lot need to get out more.......

  • hahaha this sgt taught my aircraft maintenance mechanic course drill.

If you messed up he would make you drill a lamp post.

hes was a great bloke made drill enjoyable

  • was that fixed? because in real life the sergeant should have told the whole squad of lol

  • @atcscc This was before they had a Drill Comp, so this Sgt thought he would have some fun, so we left him too it. It was very funny, he came out with some right stonkers!!!

  • you should'nt really be laughing when a sgt is talking to you like that, uniform is pretty bad aswell o,o

  • i remember him from when we went thru cosford..mess up ur drills and he makes you shout orders at a lampost to prove a point.

  • Some uniform care time needed here i think

  • @pyro999maniac I told them on numerous occasions before we met this Sergeant, but they need to sort it at the end of the day, not me :P

  • Hair Cut, Hair cut, shoes, and creases. berret to high. I wish i was that seargent. But ATC for the win.

  • Its a joke when it involves Air Cadets - but when I left the ATC & joined the RAF - did I get a shock! - its a very different matter when they own you, have their fist firmly clenched around your balls and can lawfully do very VERY nasty things to you.

  • @freeman8128 now you have put me off the RAF

  • @horrwar Don't be put off on my account - some people like it. It's largely a matter of personality - I have always had mixed feelings in my relationships with authority.

  • @freeman8128 Like what exactly?

  • @metimmee work :P one of my mates came out of Halton about 18 months ago, the worst thing they did were fire drills in NBC kit!
