Hidden ports are cool. Accessory manufacturers can make 1008HA accessories that replace the port cover and fill that recess (3G modems, GPS, etc).

If so we could say goodbye to plugs that extend outside of the case and bend/break.

Alright...another micro step by Asus,same slow atom(altho the newer one) and crappy resolution in a prettier package.Decent price at $399 though,but I'll stick with my old latitude x300 still,thanks.

Yes I agree, the hidden ports make it seem cheap, but overall it seems very nice addition to the eee pc series. :)

Hidden ports look a bit sucky.. personally I would prefer these to be flush rather than hidden like this.
