Wait. I had it ruled that you can use Future Fusion on Five Headed with Drago on the field because Future Fusion only "sets up the condition for a special summon" I had that directly told to me by both a regular and head judge at the columbus ycs this past year.

So Drago is on the field, activate Future Fusion, reveal Five headed ... so that can't happen? Even though i'm not summoning nor attempting to summon this turn?

@TrueXenoBlade Correct. Even though Future Fusion allows the Special Summon 2 turns later, the intended target for Future Fusion's activation cannot be LIGHT or DARK while Drago is face-up.

found this on wikia about tribute sets:

"You Tribute the monsters you'd need to Tribute as if you were performing a Tribute Summon."

I guess this wraps up the totem issue, in the events that I attend, it's been ruled that you can tribute set using totem, that's actually the only reason I love yamata so much :P

@TXShadowx210 Easiest way to go about it is Exploder Dragon's effect text doesn't say "Target that card and destroy it." Since it doesn't have that tiny bit of text of "select" or "target" then the card effect doesn't target.

@TXShadowx210 It's because you're not choosing the target, When you choose a target for an effect, usually it's 'I choose herp-derp card for Chaos Sorc's eff' But since Exploder's effect is on the card that destroyed it, it's not targetting the card specifically, it just filled the condition.

@X3GibbleX3 Totems effect to special summon activates in the grave. If its solemn warninged it never leaves the grave yard.

can u tribute a face-down Totem for a LADD/Yamata? :L
