  • No need to create any *.bat files, no need to repair broken colors in the game... I like it. Quick and simple method. Great job and thank you.

  • Thank you! Exactly what I was looking for.

  • Is it possible to install the patch too?

    Only got the v1.2

  • Thanks! This method is really works! I didn't realise that it can be so simple!

  • Does that mean i have to keep installing it all the time if i want to play?

  • will it be safe to install dos programs on vista..?

  • I don't have a Orion 2 disc, I have all the files in a folder called Orion2 i mounted to

my C: drive now what do i do?

  • MSCDEX is limited supported. How can I install it? And im trying to play Heroes 2 on my windows 7 and I could get the game up and running without the disc but I can't play because it can't let me install I already have all the files from the disc cc:/ on "oldgames" folder. And im trying to mount the game directly from copying and paste the file and it cannot be run.

  • Dude I made my folder "old games" and I drag my installation game (like the cd rom) Then it gets mounted when I drag to mountbox ,but my problem is I can't make it work to install this program. I need help!

  • When I type "install.exe" it says it's an illegal command. How do I fix this?

  • How do you run the game again after installing it?

  • @MasterFlame100 I HAME SAME PROBLEM I REALLY HATE TO REINSTALL EVERY TIME ... I LOSE THE SAVES TOO :(

  • @MasterFlame100 Mount the cd again, then mount the directory you installed the game in, then run orion2.exe

  • Got the game to run but there's no sound. How can I fix it?

  • noob?- I had success installing the game by substituting mount g for c eventually. I can't find the game anymore though. dosbox locked up the screen when I got it installed and I couldn't use the mouse outside of the program so I logged out of my computer and back in. I tried reinstalling the exact same way and it won't do anything. How do I find the game now? Is it not working the same way because it is already installed? I can't seem to find the correct combination to direct it to the game.

  • @fistandantilus18 I think what messed everything up is that I installed it to the original D:\MPS\ORION2 and just clicked the install instead of changing it to D:\moo2 like you did at 0:42.

  • @fistandantilus18 where is it installed? can you find it using the windows Find feature or do you see the folder when you go into My Computer> C: ?

  • @fistandantilus18 It's on My Computer> C: There is a MPS file folder under moo2 and a ORION2 file. Don't know what to do. I tried quite a bit to get it working to no avail. Your wisdom in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

  • I created a folder and did as you did it and typed mount d c:\moo2 but it said it doesn't exist

  • @hbk00123 'd' in that line is the letter of your cd/dvd drive, so It might be something else

  • @atomicgate i got that part to work but the g g:\ -t cdrom isnt working

  • Easier way buy the download from GOG(dot)com. It will work on windows 7.

  • @MrShootinputin wow that's a nice site, didn't know about it

  • @atomicgate You are welcome.

  • @MrShootinputin That was helpful, just wanted to say thanks.

  • @buddy2131 You are welcome. Glad it helped.

  • Thank you for the upload...i have the game and i didn't know how to play it...with your help..now i do...Thank you

  • Thanks, how about the sound issue?

  • Also I usually mount my game with daemon tools to bypass cd's. Overall the game is installed in C:\moo2\MPS\orion2 the other question I have is how do I play it without reinstalling it? Tried several combinations with the advise you previously given. Please Help

  • @silentdictator do "MOUNT D: C:\moo2\MPS\orion2" than "CD D:" and start the game with "orion2.exe" or w/e the exe file is called

  • @atomicgate I had the same question, but if I follow this way it says, that there are not all game data and it doesn't start. Does somebody know how to fix that?

  • Works great but im running vista and theres no sound?

  • thank you

  • 2 questions: 1. after i installed and got out of the program how do i return without installing the program again

2.how can i run full screen

  • @icecremer you need to mount the folder of where the game is installed.. in the example it was "MOUNT D C:\moo2" than do "CD D:\" or "CD D:\moo2" (if you have another moo2 folder inside that) and start the game by typing "orion2.exe" without the " ofcourse

  • @icecremer Fullscreen = Alt+Enter

  • Hey i got a question when i go in DOSBox i start filling the stuff but when i reach the part when i need to fill the g:\install.exe it say :"illegal command: install.exe"

can you quide me what i need to do there ?

  • @RobertAKAsmoky

I have the same problem....and i don't know how to fix it.

  • @RobertAKAsmoky I think there are 2 versions of MOO2 the DOS version and Windows one.. might get that error if you try to install the windows one with DOSBOx.. not 100% sure though

  • what if I dont own the cd?

  • @BrutalMind i played around on google for a while and found a download for it then i burned it to a cd and did what the vedio said and it worked fine (only problem was game was in french)
