@Aoisoka there aren't any harriers which do that. they have a fixed gun, and don't hover when providing air support because it does use a lot of fuel, a lot of water, and a hovering jet is a stupidly easy target. a harrier pilot will make a series of low passes at low speed and provide cover with bombs and missiles. you do some research, twat
@Aoisoka harries either UK or US operated are and never will be used in the way you described. UK harriers have the option for a gun pod to be fitted underneath but are never used for 'hovering attacks'

Correct they fly this low from radar detection. Fly high there is a huge risk of detection. The RAF do this all the time and practice. We have loads of tornadoes around here even though this is a harrier there very low from marham then go to the welsh hills etc. There low then they fight the missile and avoid being shot down hills are a very good choice if the enemy has a lock on you.

The reason they fly this low is to reduce the risk of getting picked up by radar and as Xen1aserman said it reduce enemy contact and is a good fear attack

The engine was designed by Rolls-Royce in partnership with Bristol Aviation. The design incorporated re-heat and was recycled, although, greatley modified as the engine for Concorde. My father, designed the combustion and fuel systems for both. Up close,it is the f*cking loudest take off I have ever heard.

i see a lot of harriers and tornadoes flying this low near my house in aberdeenshire, must be a training route or something. hope to see a typhoon someday.

Correct they fly this low from radar detection. Fly high there is a huge risk of detection. The RAF do this all the time and practice. We have loads of tornadoes around here even though this is a harrier there very low from marham then go to the welsh hills etc. There low then they fight the missile and avoid being shot down hills are a very good choice if the enemy has a lock on you.

The reason they fly this low is to reduce the risk of getting picked up by radar and as Xen1aserman said it reduce enemy contact and is a good fear attack

@rakawy right......only 1 problem with your comment "now i understand why many of the have crashed down in Afghanistan"....only 1 Harrier has crashed in Afghanistan....and it was whilst landing (the pilot managed to stay in the aircraft and steer clear of other aircraft, whilst his harrier was on fire, before ejecting)....you may be thinking of Tornados.......2 or 3 of them have crashed already

there is nothing stupid about flying this low, if you are a decent pilot you can pull it off, it also reduces the risk of getting hit by ground to surface missles, and it scares the shit out of the enemy

The harrier pilot will have gotten permission for the low fly-by... yes the harrier is NOT a supersonic jet. and it was going nowhere near its top speed in that video, if it was, the camera wouldnt be able to keep up with it on it pan.
