The government reflects the values and beliefs of Islam law. The government is everything that Islam is about, how can this movement ultimately NOT be against Islam itself?

To be honest though, the government isn't really following Islamic principles. Which is why the world sees them as hypocrites. Things have been messed up (politically wise). Even Islamic leaders have denounced the government; Ayatollah Bourjurdi and Montezeri (not reformists either). I forgot where I saw this, but Montezeri's son in a open letter attacked the government and denounced them due to their corruption.
But, I also see where you're coming from =(

Fair enough. I know the sunnis do not consider shias to be Islam but it is all from the same source and just as inhumane as Islam in any country dominated by any form of Islam. I just hope the Persians become free to chose their government and interact with the outside world. The world is less without their full contributions.

How does the government reflect values and beliefs of Islam when the majority of the Ayatollahs and Grand Ayatollahs are actually very much against the way the government actually carries itself out. The most senior figure in Shi'a Islam himself, Ayatollah Montazeri, has even been under house arrest for the past 20 years because he doesn't agree with the way the government runs things.
This movement (green movement) can't be against Islam when it is led and supported by Muslims.

The inhumane treatment of Iranians over the years is based upon Islamic law. Stonings, hanging of gays, "death to America" is all motivated by Islam. The people are called muslims but Islam is not the natural religion of Persia, it is a conquerer. Most "christians" do not practice or investigate christianity as many muslims do not investigate and only practice Islam lightly and never had a choice. This movement will eventually be against Islam, mark these words!

As I said before, the majority of the Shi'a clergy are against the way the Iranian government behaves, so how is that Islamic law then? We get our interpretations from the Ulama who are the most supreme authority on Islamic law in Shi'a Islam, and most of whom are very moderate and do not support the things the Iranian government does.

I have, and the world has moved on from bashing and attacking other religions. People have the right to choose and practice the religion of their choice. You will NOT be successful by going around and attacking any religion, especially Islam. I'm against Islam along side governance, but if your advocating anti-Islamic thinking and actions then it is you that needs to grow up.

Then there is the muslim girl in New York City who was killed by her father and mother. She came home one day and her father started killing her with a knife. She cried out for her mother to stop him, but instead her mother held her down so her father could finish killing her.
They got both the parents and now they are in prison, but it doesn't bring the girl back.

I'll also be glad when the FBI catches the Muslim Father of 2 teenage daughters who kill both of them and then ran like a coward in Texas.
He abused his 2 daughters and his wife then got his son to help him get them to come back home after they left. When they came back home he got them into a car under false pretenses and drove behind a motel and shot both point blank in the head one he shot while the other one called 911

Look at the customs and laws of Iran; Westerners breaking laws unaware have suffered greatly, Iranian men have brought back American women and held them hostage, and many more things can be said for the mindset and culture of the Iranians. Bottom line: don't trust Iranians.

There are many stories of Islamic rule and opportunity, how, for example, when some Iranian muslims babysat Christians' children--when there was turmoil or they felt threatened or when it came down to an order, the muslims killed the Christians whom they personally knew!

Some Iranians, are peaceful and have no quarrel with Americans, Brits, and Israelis, but the majority wouldn't mind wiping us out. That's a fact. We are not fooled by Iran; the general sentiment against the West has and will prevailed for eons. You don't think that if Iranians—who are 98% muslim—had the opportunity to destroy Israel and the Jews, that even the so-called peaceful muslims could care less? And they would gladly take over the world without regard to us.

The very people who chant "Death to America, England, etc., are the ones who are killing people like the ones you see in these pictures. These are pictures of real Iranians living inside of Iran... and believe me, the real people have no quarrel with Americans or other nations.
