  • I'm one of those cats on the verge of what you'd call "homo-phobic"--sorry, I have this addiction to females-------------that being said--------this is one of the BEST movies I have ever seen----it confronts SEVERAL issues---surviving opression in a divided Germany, terms with sexuality, crooked music industry, struggles in everyday life, bigotry------it hits them ALL--and does it head on--------and it does so with a KILLER soundtrack---there aren't many movies that can do this--laugh,cry,enjoy!

  • Wtf

  • Standing before you in the divide

    Between East and West

    Slavery and freedom

    Man and woman

    Top and bottom

    <3<3<3

  • That was fucking awesome

  • Awesome movie!

  • can you post the video of the song "Angry Inch"?

  • Oh dear...that told me then...

  • What a song...what a film...beats Rocky Horror every time. We're absolutely covering this...look out Hornchurch.

  • @anidroc I hate it when people compare RHPS to Hedwig. There is no comparison RH is dumb, it only has one good song, It was the midnight audiences that made it worthwhile. Hedwig on the other hand, is a masterpiece. The music, the story, the performers and most of all the character, Hedwig.

  • @SandySilvie36 I'd hate to say this but you're comparing Rocky Horror Picture Show to Hediwg and the Angry Inch. You may think I'm crazy but I seemed to get the same message from both movies. As in "Be who you want to be." or something like that.

  • @musicmagicpan Hedwig and the Angry Inch is more than "be who you want to be." It represents the feeling of hope and freedom every person who lived in East Berlin during the communist rule, felt. The desire to escape to America and live in freedom. I studied this musical in university, it's more than just a fashion statement.

  • @NinjaAssassin874 Ok.. Thanks for telling me that. I'm just a 12 year old who hasn't heard of the Berlin Wall until she saw this movie. I haven't truly researched this movie for a project unlike you.

  • I thought this was going to be wrock (harry potter fan music) when I clicked on it because of the "hedwig", but I actually quite like it :D I'm going to go buy some..

  • love love LOVE the final part where Hedwig pulls out the cord of Yitzhak's mic! hilarious!

  • 1:52 Miriam Shor's accent is so beautiful. <3

  • Ain't much of a difference between a bridge and a wall. Without me right in the middle, you would be nothing at all.

  • Hedwig is a Goddess of music. So many genres she graces and all she conquers.

  • The drummer looks suspiciously like the drummer for Grace Potter and the Nocturnals.

  • I thought this movie was awesome, can't stop listening to these songs

  • This movie is awesome as hell :)

  • Another very cool part about this movie is that Bob Mould is playing the guitar tracks. Oh, yeah.

  • All through the movie I loved Stephen Trask's character. I was thrilled when I learned he was the composer :D

  • Here is to truly hoping that Mitchell brings it to Broadway this coming year, as rumored.

  • Id be your biggest groupy, you half hung bitch!

  • I find it funny how people can be so hateful and ignorant to this performance and movie. It's funny because this movie is about discovering who you are, learning, the hunger for knowledge, and the quest to find out who you are. To do that you must first understand the workings of ignorance, anger, and hate. To be hateful to this performance is to be hateful to what it means to be human. Gay, straight, man, or woman - we are all human, and we're all in this together.

  • The girl guy in this video looks like miley cyrus and sounds like her too

  • @tiffcat77 Yitzak is nothing like Miley. Miley is crap.

  • JAmes CAmeron And Stephen Trask are THE BEST!!!!!

And The Movie Is My Favorite Movie EVERRRR!!!!

    I love themmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The lyrics on Hedwig truly are brilliant. Stephen Trask did some class work on this. I love the film and bought the Soundtrack - fantastic.

  • Does he?

  • steven trask's character is the sexiest in this scene.

  • Hi, my name is Kim and I'm new to "Hedwig" (I love it...can't get enough)! Yes, I've been living under a rock but anyway....who is Stephen Trask? Which character? :) Thanks....

  • the guitar/piano player with black hair. he wrote all the music for the movie. heh, i only saw hedwig a little under a year ago, after hearing great things about it for so long, ;D

  • actually the pirate guy that looks like pirates of the carribean wrote a few songs himself so...

  • true good to know

  • @PracticePeace Trask wrote all of it. And the "pirate guy" is a woman.

  • @stampscapes LOL , I was just about to sat that.

  • @stampscapes The female in the roll of HEdwig's lover in , in fact, a girl. Her name is Marium Schor.

  • Yeah, that's Stephen playing the flying V on this ditty. Checkout the Gnosis version of wicked little town and you will hear him sing the lead that Pitt is actually lip sync-ing. True. After this film I started wearing lipstick at my gigs. Made me the man I am today. Thanks Stephen!

  • Fucking Stephen Trask :)

  • Wow, he looks better as a woman then he does a man! haha, I love hedwig!!!

  • Hedwig and the Angry Inch = absolute brilliance!

  • Guitar fellatio at 1:46!

  • if you use your teeth for fellatio like that.. i feel sorry for the dude who received it...

  • Don't you just love the way that Hedwig's belting her heart out in every musical sequence, with a KICKASS band--and the Bilgewater's audience couldn't look more deadpan?

It's like everyone at the bar's on opium or something! LOL

  • They seem to have the bad luck of only getting gigs at diners full of grumpy old people and family's trying to eat quietly. Their poor agent.

  • hhahahaha

  • hey their agent was andrea martin of sctv fame!

    don't be dissin' andrea

  • I understand why they took out all of the (adlibbed) material with the agent - Phyllis Stein (say the name fast and get the joke) - having the cell phone implanted in her jaw, since it did disrupt the flow of the movie, but damn, is it funny. Andrea Martin is great.

  • Yankee Go Home...With Me!

  • Hedwig and the Angry Inch is a a landmark in musical cinema. It's a frickin' rock opera, for God sakes! Never has such a topic as the transgenderal life been handled as comically, artistically and emotionally raw as this one musical.

God love ya, Stephen Trask. You and JCM have unleashed the life of the sexual revolution.

  • @bittersweetsunrise

What about The Rocky Horror Picture Show?

  • @Himyvideoisthis Rocky Horror Picture Show is only comedic, lacking the artist attribute that hedwig brings to the table.

  • @buticanyou

RHPS isn't purely comedic, going by your logic the same could be said for Hedwig (being comedic). BTW artistic doesn't mean serious, there have been and are many artists who use comedy in their work.

  • @buticanyou You are way off on that point.

  • jcm is the shit
