Search 'ShawnCheekEasy' for another way to learn, instead of sheet music.

no there isn't any fucking tricks. You just have to practice a shitload to be good at either one. If playing by ear, then start out with easy songs that dont go all over the place. Learning how to play by sheet music may be slow, but if you get good at it you dont even need to know the song to play it....
