Had it been a Justin Timberlake vocal, this track would have been fairly acceptable. The problem is Simon isn't Justin. RCM is just a trainwreck of Timbaland stock-beats carelessly thrown at a band who are far, far better than that. EDM is one of my main musical loves, but other than proper remixes, it just shouldn't be crossed with Duran Duran.

I personally have loved the evolution of DD. I will always treasure the likes of Rio, SATRT, but I have no problem embracing the new as well. Tempted is such a good song....a song that has grown on me quite a bit. And for the record, All We Need is Now is a great new album...blends old school DD with new school...really digging it. (The Man Who Stole a Leopard is a remarkable song.....blew me away the first time I heard it) :)

@bauhaus77 I agree with you. I love this song. And maybe 3 other songs on RCM. And I agree I love the evolutio of the band. In fact my two favorite albums are Medazzaland and Notorious and I am a DAY ONE fan. But RCM was not what I would want from the band. I love the new one though.

Sorry, this just isn't the duran duran I love. The songs were so creative on the first 3 albums. Amazing synth textures, catchy vocals and a band that knew how to make great pop tunes that stood the test of time. Sounds like they lost it here. This just sounds like throwaway pop. Not offensive, just not great. Their new album sounds much more promising. I'm hopeful.

I agree, DD have never followed the herd, they make music for music's sake not for money, they have nothing prove.

I love the fact that band that i have followed my entire life (i'm 33) has always evolved and managed to make albums that I love.

I can't wait for the next one, i heard the 30 second snippet of "blame the machine" and it seems like they are going to ride the nostagia wave, but, why not?

They are the band that created the nostalgia in the first place.

God i hope they never stop!

Duran Duran are fucking excellent. When i hear say Wild Boys or Planet Earth, i think that DD have evolved so far and credit big time. If you have been as globally successful as DD you have to adapt and evolve otherwise you become either Status Quo or even a tad Oasis (i love Oasis by the way).

Definately this should've been their 1st. Falling down is a great track and I love it but should've stayed on the album. I think the guys made a wrong move releasin' FD jus coz Timberlake had his hand in it. Skin Divers would be another great track.

I typically don't care for most dance music and Timbaaland annoys me in the sense that he's milking one particular sound/formula. When djs/producers do that, it's all about making money and not the art. But I like this because the element of real talent like Duran Duran is added, so to me it sounds a lot cooler than what Timbaaaland does with other hiphop artists

I kind of wish they connected the two without any pause. Skin Divers is a mid tempo dance song that can build into this more up tempo Tempted.
