  • Deindustialization, of the US has created the enormous labor shortage that is destroying the country. The reason folks could not pay their mortages was because their jobs were outsorced to .57/hr. Asian labor markets. When the Congress was bought by the Free traders, in the late 1960 and the multinational owned major media began to teach the american people that protectionism was a dirty world, the US has raced to the bottom, the fed is printing cash to keep her afloat, because of outsorcing.

  • Two corporate owned, corporate sponsered mouthpieces, for the countries elitist. They learned they could above the frey if they just carried water for the masser.

  • leftists/statists/neocons/fascists/communists/socialists can't seem to understand the most basic concepts such as comparative advantage and opportunity costs which are fundamental to economics. lolol

and they dare blame 'deregulation' lolol what deregulation? i have almost 1 million pages which say otherwise

  • @swu880

What was the Great Depression of 1920??

And whats the unseen effects of the fed printing trillions almost yearly now?

  • Would outsourcing 8 million manufacturing jobs, have any effect on home owners. Some of those people who lost their home were those whose jobs were outsourced. Sowell is a anti-government pro corporate spokesperson for the corporate funded Woover Institute. Without the GSEs none of the lower and middleclass would won their own homes. It was the creation of the ARM Mortagages, Derivatives, and Credit Defailt Swaps, that brought the economy down. Deregulation was another cause.

  • @louiethegreater

hehheheehe non economists talking about economics ahhahahhaa.

  • @swu880 brain dead chickens rooting for colonel sanders.

  • @louiethegreater

what the hell has colonel sanders got to do with anything?

I would suggest u at least read Adam Smith's works, David Riccardo's works, Frederich Bastiat, hayek, mises, and Rothbard. And read Economic Facts & Fallacies. educate urself with Basic Economics. And finally read Economics in One Lesson before even talking about things like outsourcing lololol

  • @swu880 I suggest you read "The Myths of Free Trade" by Sherrod Brown. or" Free Trade Doesn't Work": by Ian Fletcher-- or -" Free Trade, "Protectionism. and the Founding Fathers" by Edward Bowlin or "Bad Samaritans by Ha-Joon Chang" The emphisis was on the chicken, being stupid enough to root for the colonel. Those who believe these folks are presenting facts instead of theory are chickens. Facts work and they work every time, look around at the country and see who is prospering.

  • This is just absolute nonsense. Rich people live at the expense of others peoples' labor and everybody should have a house to live in.

  • @ilkkavu In a free society there will be more wealth per person,, then in a socialist society... The natural cause of low interest rates and government funded housing, is a housing bubble.

Good luck with your wealth transfers system...

  • @ilkkavu The Government lives at the expense of other peoples labor by taking their income through force. houses are built before they are bought by people who want to sell them. people who build top of the line houses do so to sell them to make a profit. so when you hear about rich people paying millions of dollars to the people who worked to build their hoses, those workers did the work for that reason. everything has costs. we need to find the cheapest way of housing people and laws don't fly

  • "I don't know why you think politicians in Washington should decide who lives where".

  • I love Dr. Sowell. What a wealth of common sense not seen in this nation.

    Sowell 2012!

  • Owning a home.....used to be known as "the American Dream". But this caller (and much of our populus) think its... "an American Right" to own a home.

  • @pensword5 No one has a "right" to own anything, except their own privacy and to a lesser degree, dignity.

  • @pretorious700

You have right to your life and the products of your life (labor) ...if those can be take against your will, you must be a slave.... or a victim of theft, or murder.

  • Brilliant!

  • What are you talking about? Thomas Sowell is the role model for everyone. He is one of the best writers in our time, and a brilliant man.

  • Sowell changed me for the better

  • How about all children?

  • Hey that's fine by me. I wasn't trying to be preferencial.

  • Sanity is a rare commodity.

  • These guys are geniuses.

  • I love these guys

  • It seems Bastiat could look deep into the nature of mans relation to organized democratic society and foresee the eventual twist of logic that would legitimize some of what we see today.

Dude was like a thinking Nostrodamus

  • Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Frederic Bastiat!

Three brilliant minds in one short video!

  • My thoughts exactly. LibertyPen is one of the finest channels I've yet come across in Youtubeland.

  • Sonofaglitch2,
