If he is he's going to get killed. I don't know who he's fighting, but Wantanabe's stand up is seriously ugly.

Kid got KO'd by some unknown Korean fighter, so what is Wantanabe thinking participating in K-1?

Yamamoto Kid never did any good in the ring of K-1 and he just recovered from injuries in legs and arms and just entered right after he lost in MMA. You can say all you want about Watanabe (like it means anything) but he's a former Boxing champion. He'll be doing much better than an MMA fighter that wasn't fully recovered.

Regardless of whether Watanabe had some success as a boxer, his stand up is very ugly.

Kid did alright? That was one of his worse stand-up against a nobody that a prime and fully prepared Kid can easily beat. That's what shocked people.

I didn't mean that Kid did alright in that fight.

What I meant was that he did alright in K-1 on the whole.

Other than the korean, Kid only ever lost in K-1 to the very best. If Watanabe fought anyone of the calibre of Masato or Zambidis in their prime he would fare far worse than Kid.

The "specific point" is that Watanabe is wide open. He is a brawler and not a particularly good one at that.

Do you have any experience in martial arts by the way? It makes me wonder because you just state this conjecture that's making any decent point at all. Kid fought a total of 4 fights and he won once against a nobody first, and then lost 3 in a row. If you want to say he did okay then go ahead but he lost to a nobody in the end that was actually set up for Kid Yamamoto to easily beat.

PS: Watanabe is a brawler and not a good one? Anybody can tell but he did it for show.

Besides, my point wasn't that Kid did well, but rather that Watanabe will do worse. Kid lost to Masato and Zambidis, but Watanabe hans't fought anyone worth mentioning, yet his record is almost the same.

Also, I was right, Watanabe did lose his fight in the 2009 Max final, as I said over 2 months ago that he would.

Oh well, I just thought that it was ignorant to criticize a former Boxing champion on how he fights. Maybe in K-1 you could say that for any Boxers in terms of how they fought but eh.

Vince Phillips was former IBF champion, but Masato made him look like an amateur. Masato even outboxed him!

I haven't got recordings of any of my fights (other than the first two, which I'd rather not upload).

I'm defending my title this coming saturday (halloween), so if I can get a recording of it I'll upload it. The problem is that they don't let spectators record, so I can't get a friend to record it for me.

I didn't have chance to record any of mine. I did have a chance to buy the dvd that the organization made but I said it's a waste of money and didn't buy it. But while I had 6 fights, you had 18. While having twice the amount of fights than I do, you didn't have any chance to record your fights either?
