Love the comparison between mandarin and french! Lucky I speak it too. When I pronounce the alphabet 'u' I think of fish in mandarin.. they are very similar!
man , more than anything am thinking how many languages does this girl know????????!!!
and its not like that she speaks bit, but she speaks fluently mandarin , french and english and what not... good job girl and excellent teaching. so far the best video on learning language :-)
don't worry too much about the english mistake "understanding." native speakers make that mistake all the time, at least in america. i was actually a little thrown to discover that it was a mistake! of course, striving for perfection is a goal. your english pronunciation is fabulous
oh wow, i rewatched it and i guess i re-wrote it in my head, persay. i have a bad habit of doing that. (hearing what i'm reading) i must have read the subtitle and just fixed what she was saying. whoops!
oh my god !!! how many languages do you speak?!?! I'm taking French for 2 semester. but i can't understand what people speak at all... it's way too fast for me...
I visited & subscribed to your French course because I wanted to improve my pronunciation, but I found much more than I was barging for, because yours it is a wonderful idea & very well applied, furthermore you are sweet & beautiful & not only physically but your soul is beautiful because you are investing time to help others with out any reward & that is great. I speak Spanish, Romanian, English, Italian, Portuguese & some French, but never thought to teach others, hence all my respect to you.
I was very pleased to see the instruction that you offer via the internet. I have a very strong interest in visiting Europe. I am a recent graduate of the MBA program. Are you in the U.S. and would you be interested in sharing your email address. I have a friend who is from West Africa but I am experiencing difficulty learning from him. I am also wanting to learn Japanese and Spanish. Arie
OMG , i just learned now that i have been saying the word BONJOUR wrong in the last fifteen years , but thak you very much i don`t know your name and by the way you`re the most beautiful person i ever seen .
Marry Me! Just kidding (about the marrying thing, not your beauty), but you are truly a genius and I hope I will speak French half as well as you do, some day. Did you learn by immersion?
you are beautyfull leyla .....i love you ....i kiss you ....i dont speak english very good ...just i can say i love you if i see you y give a lot of kisses sure inteligent ....y from noruega . see you later pretty woman .
nice video! its very hard to perfect those sounds that we dont have in english, especially the nasal ones. i have alot of trouble with the nasal "in" in mince and province ,it gets so frustrating. its great to be able to hear it over and over. * when you gave the example of an overdone R bonjour, it reminded me of "je ne regrette rien" my friends and i mimick that song for fun, and over-do our R's. hdr *
the "in" sound is difficult indeed. I've been trying to find a way to explain it, but I'm afraid I can't. If you say it like you would in english, people will understand, I guess. english speakers and hispanics have so much trouble with those nasals...
the french 'r' is actually present in one form or another in MANY languages (such as hebrew). I am not quite certain why it's so hard to pronounce, it's like the lesser version of you trying to cough out phlegm from your trachea...
it's actually better to study the positioning of your tongue and where and where not to restrict your airway when it comes to learning a new sound rather than attempting to reference it to a sound that you already know. That's just me.
t'es vraiment douée ! bonne continuation =)
