Having lived in London last 4 years and spent New Year there - whilst I have enjoyed the fireworks display there - the whole experience is very limited compared to Edinburgh's street party, the castle, and the orchestra that accompanies the fireworks (which I havent been able to capture as I didnt manage to get to the street party this year) - anyways maybe you will come to Edinburgh next year and be able to compare for yourself!

Pity you didn't enjoy the experience in Edinburgh - like you i thought the laser light afterwards was a disappointment - anyways another year ahead ...
hi - shot the film from Calton Hill - great place to see the whole show - you can see thLeith fireworks and also they now have fireworks on Calton Hill - several hundred people go there and you have no problem getting a good view of all!
